In the present paper we study two qubit entanglement in the most general $XYZ$ Heisenberg magnetic chain with (non)homogeneous magnetic fields and the DM anisotropic antisymmetric exchange interaction, arising from the spin-orbit coupling . The model includes all known results as particular cases, for both antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic $XX, XY, XXX, XXZ, XYZ$ chains. The concurrence of two qubit thermal entanglement and its dependence on anisotropic parameters, external magnetic field and temperature are studied in details. We found that in all cases, inclusion of the DM interaction, which is responsible for weak ferromagnetism in mainly antiferromagnetic crystals and spin arrangement in low symmetry magnets, creates (when it does not exist) or strengthens (when it exists) entanglement in $XYZ$ spin chain. This implies existence of a relation between arrangement of spins and entanglement, in which the DM coupling plays an essential role. It suggests also that anisotropic antisymmetric exchange interaction could be an efficient control parameter of entanglement in the general $XYZ$ case.
We establish the most general class of spin-1/2 integrable Richardson-Gaudin models including an arbitrary magnetic field, returning a fully anisotropic (XYZ) model. The restriction to spin-1/2 relaxes the usual integrability constraints, allowing for a general solution where the couplings between spins lack the usual antisymmetric properties of Richardson-Gaudin models. The full set of conserved charges are constructed explicitly and shown to satisfy a set of quadratic equations, allowing for the numerical treatment of a fully anisotropic central spin in an external magnetic field. While this…
The anisotropic Heisenberg two-spin-1/2 model in an inhomogeneous magnetic field with both antisymmetric Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya and symmetric Kaplan-Shekhtman-Entin-Wohlman-Aharony cross interactions is considered at thermal equilibrium. Using a group-theoretical approach, we find fifteen spin Hamiltonians and as many corresponding Gibbs density matrices (quantum states) whose eigenvalues are expressed only through square radicals. We also found local unitary transformations that connect nine of this fifteen state collection, and one of them is the X quantum state. Since such quantum correlation…
We study dynamical properties of dissipative XYZ Heisenberg lattices where anisotropic spin-spin coupling competes with local incoherent spin flip processes. In particular, we explore a region of the parameter space where dissipative magnetic phase transitions for the steady state have been recently predicted by mean-field theories and exact numerical methods. We investigate the asymptotic decay rate towards the steady state both in 1D (up to the thermodynamical limit) and in finite-size 2D lattices, showing that critical dynamics does not occur in 1D, but it can emerge in 2D. We also analyze …
We examine the existence of completely separable ground states (GS) in finite spin-$s$ arrays with anisotropic $XYZ$ couplings, immersed in a non-uniform magnetic field along one of the principal axes. The general conditions for their existence are determined. The analytic expressions for the separability curve in field space, and for the ensuing factorized state and GS energy, are then derived for alternating solutions, valid for any spin and size. They generalize results for uniform fields and show that nonuniform fields can induce GS factorization also in systems which do not exhibit this p…
Quantum Steering vs Entanglement and Extracting Work in an Anisotropic Two-Qubit Heisenberg Model in Presence of External Magnetic Fields with DM and KSEA Interactions
We study the all-to-all connected $XYZ$ (anisotropic-Heisenberg) spin model with local and collective dissipations, comparing the results of mean field theory with the solution of the Lindblad quantum evolution. Leveraging the permutational symmetry of the model [N. Shammah et al., Phys Rev. A 98, 063815 (2018)], we find exactly (up to numerical precision) the steady state up to $N=95$ spins. We characterize criticality, studying, as a function of the number of spins $N$, the spin structure factor, the magnetization, the Liouvillian gap and the Von Neumann entropy of the steady state. Exploiti…
We consider a finite two-dimensional Heisenberg triangular spin lattice at different degrees of anisotropy coupled to a dissipative Lindblad environment obeying the Born-Markovian constrain at finite temperature. We show how applying an inhomogeneous magnetic field to the system may significantly affect the entanglement distribution and properties among the spins in the asymptotic steady state of the system. Particularly, applying an inhomogeneous field with an inward (growing) gradient toward the central spin is found to considerably enhance the nearest neighbor entanglement and its robustnes…
Graph structure of quantum spin networks plays an essential role in applying quantum annealing (QA). The Ising model is the typical choice to describe the interactions between the spins in the networks. Here, we explore the interplay of different interaction types between the spins and the structure of the underlying network on the performance of QA. Specifically, we consider the Heisenberg XY and antisymmetric anisotropic exchange interaction models, in addition to the usual Ising Model, in graph structures ranging from linear chains to complete graphs with different connectivities. We find t…
Classical correlations of ground states typically decay exponentially and polynomially, respectively for gapped and gapless short-ranged quantum spin systems. In such systems, entanglement decays exponentially even at the quantum critical points. However, quantum discord, an information-theoretic quantum correlation measure, survives long lattice distances. We investigate the effects of quenched disorder on quantum correlation lengths of quenched averaged entanglement and quantum discord, in the anisotropic XY and XYZ spin glass and random field chains. We find that there is virtually neither …
We determine the conditions for the existence of non-transverse factorizing magnetic fields in general spin arrays with anisotropic XYZ couplings of arbitrary range. It is first shown that a uniform maximally aligned completely separable eigenstate can exist just for fields ${h}_s$ parallel to a principal plane and forming four straight lines in field space, with the alignment direction different from that of ${h}_s$ and determined by the anisotropy. Such state always becomes a non-degenerate ground state (GS) for sufficiently strong (yet finite) fields along these lines, in both ferromagnetic…
Rapid preparation, manipulation, and correction of spin states with high fidelity are requisite for quantum information processing and quantum computing. In this paper, we propose a fast and robust approach for controlling two spins with Heisenberg and Ising interactions. By using the concept of shortcuts to adiabaticity, we first inverse design the driving magnetic fields for achieving fast spin flip or generating the entangled Bell state, and further optimize them with respect to the error and fluctuation. In particular, the designed shortcut protocols can efficiently suppress the unwanted t…
We show that bipartite entanglement in a one-dimensional quantum spin model undergoing time-evolution under local Markovian environments can be frozen over time. We demonstrate this by using a number of paradigmatic quantum spin models in one dimension, including the anisotropic XY model in the presence of a uniform and an alternating transverse magnetic field (ATXY), the XXZ model, the XYZ model, and the $J_1-J_2$ model involving the next-nearest-neighbor interactions. We show that the length of the freezing interval, for a chosen pair of nearest-neighbor spins, may remain independent of the …
In this work, we address the ground state properties of the anisotropic spin-1/2 Heisenberg XYZ chain under the interplay of magnetic fields and the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction which we interpret as an electric field. The identification of the regions of enhanced sensitivity determines criticality in this model. We calculate the Wigner-Yanase skew information (WYSI) as a coherence witness of an arbitrary two-qubit state under specific measurement bases. The WYSI is demonstrated to be a good indicator for detecting the quantum phase transitions. The finite-size scaling of coherence s…
We discuss a generalized self-consistent mean field (MF) treatment, based on the selection of an arbitrary subset of operators for representing the system density matrix, and its application to the problem of entanglement evaluation in composite quantum systems. As a specific example, we examine in detail a pair MF approach to the ground state (GS) of dimerized spin 1/2 systems with anisotropic ferromagnetic-type XY and XYZ couplings in a transverse field, including chains and arrays with first neighbor and also longer range couplings. The approach is fully analytic and able to capture the mai…
