By combining the scaling relation of Amoruso {\it et al.}, PRL {\bf 97}, 267202 (2006) with standard droplet model assumptions, a value $θ= (\sqrt{6} - 3) / 2$ is obtained. This conjecture is reasonably consistent with the best existing numerical calculations, and may be exact.
In a section of a recent publication, [J. Yeo and M.A. Moore, Phys. Rev. B 91, 104432 (2015)], the authors discuss some of the arguments in the paper by Parisi and Temesvári [Nuclear Physics B 858, 293 (2012)]. In this comment, it is shown how these arguments are misinterpreted, and the existence of the Almeida-Thouless transition in the upper critical dimension 6 reasserted.
Comment on "Ising Spin Glasses in a Magnetic Field"
In the paper [Angelini M C, Parisi G, and Ricci-Tersenghi F, Ensemble renormalization group for disordered systems, Phys. Rev. B 87 134201 (2013)] we introduced a real-space renormalization group called Ensemble Renormalization Group (ERG) and we applied it to the Edwards-Anderson model, obtaining estimates for the critical exponents in good agreement with those from Monte Carlo simulations. Recently the paper [Castellana M, Real-space renormalization-group methods for hierarchical spin glasses, J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 52 445002 (2019)] re-examined the ERG method from a different perspective,…
In his Comment, Temesvári objects to a remark in our paper [Phys.\ Rev.\ B {\bf 91}, 104432 (2015)] that his result for the form of the Almeida-Thouless (AT) line obtained in an earlier paper with Parisi [Nucl.\ Phys.\ B {\bf 858}, 293 (2012)] in six dimensions can be obtained by taking the limit of $d \to 6$ in the equations valid for $d>6$, but that this violated one of the inequalities needed for their validity. He is just pointing out that they gave a derivation of the form of the AT line in six dimensions in [Nucl.\ Phys.\ B {\bf 858}, 293 (2012)] which avoided this difficulty. However, i…
Reply to Comment on "Two time scales and violation of the Fluctuation-Dissipation Theorem in a finite dimensional model for structural glasses"
Two time scales and violation of FDT in a finite dimensional model for structural glasses"[1]的评论(cond-mat/0103444)中,A. de Candia和A. [1]F. Ricci-Tersenghi,D. a. Stariolo和J.J.Arenzon,Phys.Rev.Lett. 84,4473(2000)。
In their comment, Angelini et al. object to the conclusion of [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor., 52:445002, 2019] (1), where we show that in [Phys. Rev. B, 87:134201, 2013] the exponent $ν$ has been obtained by applying a mathematical relation in a regime where this relation is not valid. We observe that the criticism above on the mathematical validity of such relation has not been addressed in the comment. Our criticism thus remains valid, and disproves the conclusions of the comment. This constitutes the main point of this reply. We also provide a point-by-point response and discussion of Angelini e…
We discuss a field-theoretical approach to liquids, solids and glasses, published recently [Phys.Rev.E {\bf105}, 034108 (2022)], which aims to describe these materials in a common quantum formalism. We argue that such quantum formalism is not applicable to classical liquids, and the results presented, which rely heavily on the concept of phase relaxation borrowed from quantum fluids, contradict the known hydrodynamic theory of classical liquids. In particular, the authors miss the important particle-number conservation law and the density fluctuations as hydrodynamic slow variable. Instead, th…
Comment on "General Method to Determine Replica Symmetry Breaking Transitions"
Rev. Lett.
