We explore the capability of spin-1/2 chains to act as quantum channels for both teleportation and transfer of qubits. Exploiting the emergence of long-distance entanglement in low-dimensional systems [Phys. Rev. Lett. 96, 247206 (2006)], here we show how to obtain high communication fidelities between distant parties. An investigation of protocols of teleportation and state transfer is presented, in the realistic situation where temperature is included. Basing our setup on antiferromagnetic rotationally invariant systems, both protocols are represented by pure depolarizing channels. We propose a scheme where channel fidelity close to one can be achieved on very long chains at moderately small temperature.
Recently, Ri-Gui Zhou et al. [Int. J. Theor. Phys. 59, 166-172 (2020)] proposed a scheme for bidirectional quantum teleportation of two-two and two-three qubit states by utilizing a six-qubit entangled state as a quantum channel. It is observed that the intrinsic efficiency calculated by Zhou et al. is not correct. In this improved scheme, we show that bidirectional teleportation of two-two and two-three qubit quantum states can be done by using optimized quantum resource and less consumption of classical resource. We also calculate the intrinsic efficiency of our improved scheme which is much…
In this paper, we compare single-photon qubits and hybrid qubits as information carriers through quantum teleportation using a Gaussian continuous-variable channel. A hybrid qubit in our study is in the form of entanglement between a coherent state and a single photon. We find that hybrid qubits outperform photonic qubits when coherent amplitudes of the hybrid qubits are as low as $α\lesssim 1$, while photonic qubits yield better results for larger amplitudes. We analyze effects of photon losses, and observe that the overall character of teleportation for different qubits remains the same alth…
In this work, we study quantum many-body teleportation, where a single qubit is teleported through a strongly-interacting quantum system, as a result of a scrambling unitary and local measurements on a few qubits. Usual many-body teleportation protocols require a double copy of the system, and backward time evolution, we demonstrate that teleportation is possible in the 2D spin-$1/2$ XY model, without these constraints. The necessary long-range entanglement for teleportation is generated from the model hosting special eigenstates known as rainbow scars. We outline a specific protocol for prepa…
Bidirectional quantum teleportation is a fundamental protocol for exchanging quantum information between two quantum nodes. All bidirectional quantum teleportation protocols till now have achieved a maximum efficiency of $40\%$. Here, we propose a new scheme for symmetric bidirectional quantum teleportation using a six-qubit cluster state as the quantum channel, for symmetric ($3\leftrightarrow3$) qubit bidirectional quantum teleportation of a special three-qubit entangled state. The novelty of our scheme lies in its generalization for ($N\leftrightarrow N$) qubit bidirectional quantum telepor…
Recently Yu and Sun [Int. J. Theor. Phys. DOI 10.1007/s10773-014-2360-x] have presented probabilistic teleportation of 3-qubit cat state via 6-qubit cluster state. The success probability depends on absolute value of only two of the coefficients of cluster state i.e. |c|^2 + |d|^2. We have demonstrated the feasibility to teleport 3-qubit cat state via 2-qubit non maximally entangled Bell state instead of a complex state like 6-qubit non maximally entangled cluster state. In this comment we have prescribed an optimal protocol for teleportation of n-qubit state of the form (α|x> + β|\bar{x}>)_n …
We have tried to gauge the utility of a recently introduced seven-qubit state by Xin-Wei Zha et al for quantum teleportation and quantum state sharing. It is shown that this state can be used for the teleportation of an arbitrary single, double and triple qubit systems. We have also come up with 3 proposals for Quantum State Sharing using the Xin-Wei Zha state.
We provide a class of six-qubit states for three-qubit perfect teleportation. These states include the six-qubit cluster states as a special class. We generalize this class of six-qubit states to 2n-qubit pure states for n-qubit teleportation, n >=1. These states can be also used for 2n bit classical information transmission in dense coding.
EPR steering is an important quantum resource in quantum information and computation. In this paper, its applications in quantum teleportation are investigated. First of all, the upper bound of the average teleportation fidelity based on the EPR steering is derived. When the receiver can only perform the identity or the Pauli rotation operations, the X-type states which violate the three-setting linear steering inequality could be used for teleportation. In the end, the steering observables and the average teleportation fidelities of the two-qubit reduced states for three-qubit pure states mai…
We introduce a general odd qubit entangled system composed of GHZ and Bell pairs and explicate its usefulness for quantum teleportation, information splitting and superdense coding. After demonstrating the superdense coding protocol on the five qubit system, we prove that '2N +1' classical bits can be sent by sending 'N+1' quantum bits using this channel. It is found that the five-qubit system is also ideal for arbitrary one qubit and two qubit teleportation and quantum information splitting (QIS). For the single qubit QIS, three different protocols are feasible, whereas for the two qubit QIS,…
One of the most important applications of quantum physics is quantum teleportation, the possibility to transfer quantum states over arbitrary distances. In this paper, we address the idea of remote sensing in a teleportation scenario with topological qubits more robust against noise. We also investigate the enhancement of quantum teleportation through non-local characteristics of the topological qubits. In particular, we show that how this nonlocal property, helps us to achieve near-perfect quantum teleportation even with mixed quantum states. Considering the limitations imposed by decoherence…
Recently, Paolo Facchi et al. [Phys. Rev. A. 77, 060304 (R) (2008)] introduced the notion of maximally multipartite entangled states of n qubits. Here, we give a criterion for faithful controlled teleportation of an arbitrary two-qubit state via a five-qubit entangled state and obtain the general relation between the genuine five-qubit entangled state and controlled teleportation. This criterion can be extended to teleportation of an arbitrary N-qubit state using 2N+1-qubit entangled state. Furthermore, we study the optimal match of measuring basis and quantum channel.
We study quantum teleportation between two different types of optical qubits using hybrid entanglement as a quantum channel under decoherence effects. One type of qubit employs the vacuum and single photon states for the basis, called a single-rail single-photon qubit, and the other utilizes coherent states of opposite phases. We find that teleportation from a single-rail single-photon qubit to a coherent state qubit is better than the opposite direction in terms of fidelity and success probability. We compare our results with those using a different type of hybrid entanglement between a polar…
We quantitatively analyze and evaluate the controller's power in $N$-qubit controlled teleportation schemes. We calculate the minimum control power required to ensure the controller's authority such that the teleportation fidelity without the controller's permission is no more than the classical bound. We revisit several typical controlled teleportation schemes from the controller's point of view and evaluate the control power in these schemes. We find that for teleporting arbitrary N-qubit states, each controller should control at least N bits of useful information to ensure his/her authority…
Here we demonstrate quantum teleportation through hypergraph states, which are the generalization of graph states, and due to their non-local entanglement properties, it allows us to perform quantum teleportation. Here we design some hypergraph states useful for quantum teleportation and process the schemes for quantum teleportation of single-qubit and two-qubit arbitrary states via three-uniform three-qubit and four-qubit hypergraph states respectively. We explicate the experimental realization of quantum teleportation of both single and two-qubit arbitrary states. Then we run our quantum cir…
Quantum teleportation enables the deterministic exchange of qubits via lossy channels. While it is commonly believed that unconditional teleportation requires a preshared entangled qubit pair, here we demonstrate a protocol that is in principle unconditional and requires only a single photon as an ex-ante prepared resource. The photon successively interacts, first, with the receiver and then with the sender qubit memory. Its detection, followed by classical communication, heralds a successful teleportation. We teleport six mutually unbiased qubit states with average fidelity $\overline{\text{F…
We propose channel matrices by using unfolding matrices from their reduced density matrices. These channel matrices can be a criterion for a channel whether the channel can teleport or not any qubit state. We consider a special case, teleportation of the arbitrary two-qubit state by using the four-qubit channel. The four-qubit channel can only teleport if the rank of the related channel matrix is four.
The demonstration of quantum teleportation of a photonic qubit from Alice to Bob usually relies on data conditioned on detection at Bob's location. I show that Bohm's Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) paradox can be used to verify that the quantum benchmark for qubit teleportation has been reached, without postselection. This is possible for scenarios insensitive to losses at the generation station, and with efficiencies of $η_{B}>1/3$ for the teleportation process. The benchmark is obtained, if it is shown that Bob can {}"steer" Alice's record of the qubit as stored by Charlie. EPR steering inequ…
In this work, we propose a probabilistic teleportation protocol to teleport a single qubit via three-qubit W-states using two-qubit measurement basis. We show that for the proper choice of the state parameter of the resource state, it is possible to make success probability of the protocol very high. We deduce the condition for the successful execution of our teleportation protocol and this gives us new class of three-qubit W-states which act as a resource state. We have constructed operators that can be used to verify the condition of teleportation in experiment. This verification is necessar…
We study quantum teleportation between two different types of optical qubits, one of which is "particle-like" and the other "field-like," via hybrid entangled states under the effects of decoherence. We find that teleportation from particle-like to field-like qubits can be achieved with a higher fidelity than that in the opposite direction. However, teleportation from field-like to particle-like qubits is found to be more efficient in terms of the success probabilities. Our study shows that the direction of teleportation should be considered an important factor in developing optical hybrid arc…
We consider novel implementation of quantum teleportation protocol of unknown qubit with entangled hybrid state. Coherent components of the entangled hybrid state displace the teleported qubit at the same absolute but opposite in sign values, so that any information about amount by which the qubit is displaced is lost despite the fact that one of these events has definitely occurred. Alice unambiguously distinguishes her measurement outcomes and Bob obtains at his disposal states of a single photon in superposition of two modes with controllable amplitude distortions. We consider the implement…
A theoretical scheme for bidirectional swapping quantum controlled teleportation is presented using the entanglement property of maximally entangled five-qubit state, i.e., Alice wants to transmit a entangled state of particle a to Bob and Bob wants to transmit a entangled state of particle b to Alice via the control of the supervisor Charlie.
We address the dynamics of quantum correlations in a two-qubit system subject to unbalanced random telegraph noise (RTN) and discuss in details the similarities and the differences with the balanced case. We also evaluate quantum non-Markovianity of the dynamical map. Finally, we discuss the effects of unbalanced RTN on teleportation, showing that noise imbalance mitigates decoherence and preserves teleportation fidelity.
Recently, Zhao et al., (Int. J. Theor. Phys. 57, 516-522 (2018)) have proposed a scheme for quantum teleportation of an eight-qubit quantum state using a six qubit cluster state. In this comment, it's shown that the quantum resource (multi-partite entangled state used as the quantum channel) used by Zhao et al., is excessively high and the task can be performed using any two Bell states as the task can be reduced to the teleportation of an arbitrary two qubit state. Further, a trivial conceptual mistake made by Zhao et al., in the description of the quantum channel has been pointed out. It's a…
The Continuous-Variable (CV) quantum state of light allows for the teleportation of a Discrete-Variable (DV) photonic qubit. Such an operation is useful in the realm of hybrid quantum networks. However, it is known that the teleportation of a DV qubit via a Gaussian CV resource channel is severely limited under channel loss, with a teleportation fidelity beyond the classical limit unattainable for losses exceeding a small threshold of 0.5 dB. In this work, we present a new non-deterministic teleportation protocol that combines a Gaussian CV resource channel with a modified form of the Bell Sta…
An efficient and economical scheme is proposed for the perfect quantum teleportation of n-qubit non-maximally entangled state of generalized Bell-type. A Bell state is used as the quantum channel in the proposed scheme. It is also shown that the controlled teleportation of this n-qubit state can be achieved by using a GHZ state or a GHZ-like state as quantum channel. The proposed schemes are economical because for the perfect and controlled teleportation of n-qubit non-maximally entangled state of generalized Bell-type we only need a Bell state and a tripartite entangled state respectively. It…
Recently bidirectional controlled perfect teleportation using 5-qubit states are reported in (Int. J. Theor. Phys. (2013) DOI 10.1007/s10773-013-1484-8 and ibid, (2013) DOI 10.1007/s10773-012-1208-5). In this paper we have shown that there exists a class of 5-qubit quantum states that can be used for bidirectional controlled teleportation. Two out of the three reported cases are the special cases of the proposed class of 5-qubit quantum states and one of them is not strictly a case of controlled bidirectional quantum teleportation. Further, we have shown that one can in principle, construct in…
We investigate the performance of quantum teleportation under a lossy environment using two different types of optical hybrid qubits. One is the hybrid of the vacuum and single-photon states with coherent states and the other is the hybrid of polarized single-photon states with coherent states. We have shown that the hybrid qubit using vacuum and single-photon states is generally more robust to photon loss effects compared to the one using the photon polarization with respect to fidelities and success probabilities of quantum teleportation.
We study the optimal teleportation based on Bell measurements via the thermal states of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXX chain in the presence of Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction and obtain the optimal unitary transformation. The explicit expressions of the output state and the teleportation fidelity are presented and compared with those of the standard protocol. It is shown that in this protocol the teleportation fidelity is always larger and unit fidelity is achieved at zero temperature. The DM interaction can enhance the teleportation fidelity at finite temperatures…
In this work we study a state which is a random mixture of a two qubit subsystem of a $N$-qubit W state and GHZ state. We analyze several possibilities like separability criterion (Peres-Horodecki criterion [14,15]), non violation of Bell's inequality [6]($M(ρ)<1$)and teleportation fidelity [1,2,3,4] ($(F_{max}>{2/3})$) for this state. We also obtain a relationship between $N$ (number of qubits) and $p$ (the classical probability of random mixture) for each of these possibilities. Finally we present a detailed analysis of all these possibilities for $N=3,4,5$ qubit systems. We also report that…
We study entanglement generation between a system qubit and three apparatus qubits using an exactly solvable Arthurs-Kelly type model. We demonstrate the possibility of generating an EPR-like maximally entangled system-apparatus state, in which the second qubit of the usual EPR state is replaced by a three qubit state. We design a very simple protocol to transfer the unknown state of the system onto one of the apparatus qubits which can then be sent elsewhere via a quantum channel. This protocol can be seen as an alternative teleportation scheme.
We consider two qubit teleportation via quantum channel affected by amplitude damping noise. Addressing the same problem, X. Hu, Y. Gu, Q. Gong and G. Guo [Phys. Rev. A 81, 054302, (2010)] recently showed that in presence of noise, subjecting more qubits in quantum channel to amplitude damping can increase the fidelity of teleportation protocol. However, in this paper, by making some adjustments on quantum channel, we obtain teleportation fidelity which is even higher than one in the case of X. Hu et al. Moreover, our strategy is simpler than quantum distillation and compared to using weak mea…
The goal of teleportation is to transfer the state of one particle to another particle. In coined quantum walks, conditional shift operators can introduce entanglement between position space and coin space. This entanglement resource can be used as a quantum channel for teleportation, as proposed by Wang, Shang and Xue [Quantum Inf. Process. 16, 221 (2017)]. Here, we demonstrate the implementation of quantum teleportation using quantum walks on a five-qubit quantum computer and a 32-qubit simulator provided by IBM quantum experience beta platform. We show the teleportation of single-qubit, two…
We want to certify in a black box scenario that two parties simulating the teleportation of a qubit are really using quantum resources. If active compensation is part of the simulation, perfect teleportation can be faked with purely classical means. If active compensation is not implemented, a classical simulation is necessarily imperfect: in this case, we provide bounds for certification of quantumness using only the observed statistics. The usual figure of merit, namely the average fidelity of teleportation, turns out to be too much of a coarse-graining of the available statistical informati…
We propose a scheme to realize deterministic quantum teleportation using linear optics and hybrid qubits. It enables one to efficiently perform teleportation and universal linear-optical gate operations in a simple and near-deterministic manner using all-optical hybrid entanglement as off-line resources. Our analysis shows that our new approach can outperforms major previous ones when considering both the resource requirements and fault tolerance limits.
