Quantum Color-Coding Is Better

We describe a quantum scheme to ``color-code'' a set of objects in order to record which one is which. In the classical case, N distinct colors are required to color-code N objects. We show that in the quantum case, only N/e distinct ``colors'' are required, where e = 2.71828 . . . If the number of colors is less than optimal, the objects may still be correctly distinguished with some success probability less than 1. We show that the success probability of the quantum scheme is better than the corresponding classical one and is information-theoretically optimal.

Tensor-product vs. geometric-product coding

Quantum computation is based on tensor products and entangled states. We discuss an alternative to the quantum framework where tensor products are replaced by geometric products and entangled states by multivectors. The resulting theory is analogous to quantum computation but does not involve quantum mechanics. We discuss in detail similarities and differences between the two approaches and illustrate the formulas by explicit geometric objects where multivector versions of the Bell-basis, GHZ, and Hadamard states are visualized by means of colored oriented polylines.

Teleportation of geometric structures in 3D

Simplest quantum teleportation algorithms can be represented in geometric terms in spaces of dimensions 3 (for real state-vectors) and 4 (for complex state-vectors). The geometric representation is based on geometric-algebra coding, a geometric alternative to the tensor-product coding typical of quantum mechanics. Quantum dense coding by spatial state entanglement

We have presented a theoretical extended version of dense coding protocol using entangled position state of two particles shared between two parties. A representation of Bell states and the required unitary operators are shown utilizing symmetric normalized Hadamard matrices. In addition, some explicit and conceivable forms for the unitary operators are presented by using some introduced basic operators. It is shown that, the proposed version is logarithmically efficient than some other multi-qubit dense coding protocols.

Beating the channel capacity limit for superdense coding with entangled ququarts

Quantum superdense coding protocols enhance channel capacity by using shared quantum entanglement between two users. The channel capacity can be as high as 2 when one uses entangled qubits. However, this limit can be surpassed by using high-dimensional entanglement. We report an experiment that exceeds the limit using high-quality entangled ququarts with fidelities up to 0.98, demonstrating a channel capacity of $2.09\pm0.01$.
