Exact Numerical Solution of the BCS Pairing Problem

We propose a new simulation computational method to solve the reduced BCS Hamiltonian based on spin analogy and submatrix diagonalization. Then we further apply this method to solve superconducting energy gap and the results are well consistent with those obtained by Bogoliubov transformation method. The exponential problem of 2^{N}-dimension matrix is reduced to the polynomial problem of N-dimension matrix. It is essential to validate this method on a real quantum

Novel Isotope Effects on the Pairing Pseudogap in High-$T_{c}$ Cuprates: Evidences for Polaronic Metal and Precursor BCS-Like Pairing of Large Polarons

We have studied the novel isotope effects on the pairing pseudogap in underdoped and optimally doped cuprates within the large-polaron model and two non-standard BCS-like approaches. We have shown that in the intermediate-coupling regime the precursor pairing of large polarons occurs at a mean-field temperature $T^{\ast}>T_{c}$ and the near-absent, sizable and very large oxygen and copper isotope effects on $T^{\ast}$ exist in cuprates with small and large Fermi surfaces. A way to solve BCS-type pairing model

We propose a way to solve BCS-type pairing model by to exactly solve its spin-analogy in the subspace. The advantages of our method are to avoid to directly deal with the approximate procedure and to transfer an exponentially complicated problem to a polynomial problem. Moreover, it builds the theoretical foundation of quantum simulation of pairing model and can be used to check the precision of quantum simulation. It is also helpful to understand the many-body quantum theory.

Resolving different pairing states in Weyl superconductors through the single-particle spectrum

We study theoretically single-particle spectra of Weyl superconductors. Three different superconducting pairing states are addressed, which are the BCS-type states with the $s$-wave pairing symmetry and the $p+ip$-wave pairing symmetry, and the FFLO pairing state. We elaborate that these three states can be resolved well based on the bulk and surface spectral functions as well as the local density of states. The single impurity effect is also explored, which may help us to differentiate the BCS-type pairing states and the FFLO state further.

Structure of quantum correlations in momentum space and off diagonal long range order in eta pairing and BCS states

Polynomial-Time Simulation of Pairing Models on a Quantum Computer

We propose a polynomial-time algorithm for simulation of the class of pairing Hamiltonians, e.g., the BCS Hamiltonian, on an NMR quantum computer. The algorithm adiabatically finds the low-lying spectrum in the vicinity of the gap between ground and first excited states, and provides a test of the applicability of the BCS Hamiltonian to mesoscopic superconducting systems, such as ultra-small metallic grains.

Capturing the Feshbach-induced Pairing Physics in the BEC-BCS Crossover

By including the effect of a trap with characteristic energy given by the Fermi temperature $T_F$ in a two-body two-channel model for Feshbach resonances, we reproduce the experimental closed-channel fraction $Z$ across the BEC-BCS crossover and into the BCS regime of a $^6$Li atomic Fermi gas. We obtain the expected behavior $Z \propto \sqrt{T_F}$ at unitarity, together with the recently measured proportionality constant. A Holographic Model for Pseudogap in BCS-BEC Crossover (I): Pairing Fluctuations, Double-Trace Deformation and Dynamics of Bulk Bosonic Fluid

We build a holographic model for the pairing fluctuation pseudogap phase in fermionic high temperature superconductivity/superfluidity based on the BCS-BEC crossover scenario. The pseudogap originates from incoherent Cooper pairing and has been observed in recent cold atom experiments. Pairing imbalance in BCS-BEC crossover of inhomogeneous three-component Fermi-gas in two dimensions

We in this paper investigate the phase diagram associated with the BCS-BEC crossover of a three-component ultracold superfluid-Fermi-gas of different chemical-potentials and equal masses in two dimensions. Scattering of light and atoms in a Fermi-Dirac gas with BCS pairing

We theoretically study the optical properties of a Fermi-Dirac gas in the presence of a superfluid state. We calculate the leading quantum-statistical corrections to the standard column density result of the electric susceptibility. We also consider the Bragg diffraction of atoms by means of light-stimulated transitions of photons between two intersecting laser beams. Dynamical Selection in Emergent Fermionic Pairing

We consider evolution of a Fermi gas in the presence of a time-dependent BCS interaction. The pairing amplitude in the emergent BCS state is found to be an oscillatory function of time with predictable characteristics. The interplay of linear instability of the unpaired state and nonlinear interactions selects periodic soliton trains of a specific form, described by the Jacobi elliptic function dn. Kosterlitz-Thouless transition and vortex-antivortex lattice melting in two-dimensional Fermi gases with $p$- or $d$-wave pairing

We present a theoretical study of the finite-temperature Kosterlitz-Thouless (KT) and vortex-antivortex lattice (VAL) melting transitions in two-dimensional Fermi gases with $p$- or $d$-wave pairing. For both pairings, when the interaction is tuned from weak to strong attractions, we observe a quantum phase transition from the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) superfluidity to the Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) of difermions.
