A protocol for teleporting two qudits simultaneously in opposite directions using a single pair of maximally entangled qudits is presented. This procedure works provided that the product of dimensions of the two qudits to be teleported does not exceed the dimension of the individual qudits in the maximally entangled pair.
Quantum entanglement can be used to demonstrate nonlocality and to teleport a quantum state from one place to another. The fact that entanglement can be used to do both these things has led people to believe that teleportation is a nonlocal effect. In this paper it is shown that teleportation is conceptually independent of nonlocality. This is done by constructing a toy local theory in which cloning is not possible (without a no-cloning theory teleportation makes limited sense) but teleportation is. Teleportation in this local theory is achieved in an analogous way to the way it is done with q…
Teleportation of continuous variables can be described in two different ways, one in terms of Wigner functions, the other in terms of discrete basis states. The latter formulation provides the connection between the theory of teleportation of continuous degrees of freedom of a light field and the standard description of teleportation of discrete variables.
We investigate a quantum repeater scheme for quantum key distribution based on the work by Muralidharan et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 112, 250501 (2014). Our scheme extends that work by making use of error syndrome measurement outcomes available at the repeater stations. We show how to calculate the secret key rates for the case of optimizing the syndrome information, while the known key rate is based on a scenario of coarse-graining the syndrome information. We show that these key rates can surpass the Pirandola-Laurenza-Ottaviani-Banchi bound on secret key rates of direct transmission over lossy …
We analyze in a critical way the mathematical treatment of a quantum teleportation experiment performed with photon particles, showing that a symmetrization operation over both the polarization and spatial degrees of freedom of all the particles involved is necessary in order to reproduce correctly the observed experimental data.
Quantum teleportation provides a way to transmit unknown quantum states from one location to another. In the quantum world, multilevel systems which enable high-dimensional systems are more prevalent. Therefore, to completely rebuild the quantum states of a single particle remotely, one needs to teleport multilevel (high-dimensional) states. Here, we demonstrate the teleportation of high-dimensional states in a three-dimensional six-photon system. We exploit the spatial mode of a single photon as the high-dimensional system, use two auxiliary entangled photons to realize a deterministic three-…
We present a way to teleport multi-qubit quantum information from a sender to a distant receiver via the control of many agents in a network. We show that the original state of each qubit can be restored by the receiver as long as all the agents collaborate. However, even if one agent does not cooperate, the receiver can not fully recover the original state of each qubit. The method operates essentially through entangling quantum information during teleportation, in such a way that the required auxiliary qubit resources, local operation, and classical communication are considerably reduced for…
Quantum teleportation is a powerful protocol with applications in several schemes of quantum communication, quantum cryptography and quantum computing. The present work shows the required conditions for a two-qubit quantum gate to be deterministically and probabilistically teleported by a quantum gate teleportation scheme using different basis of measurement. Additionally, we present examples of teleportation of two-qubit gates that do not belong to Clifford group as well the limitations of the quantum gate teleportation scheme employing a four-qubit state with genuine four-way entanglement.
Teleportation protocol is conventionally treated as a method for quantum state transfer between two spatially separated physical carriers. Recent experimental progress in manipulation with high-dimensional quantum systems opens a new framework for implementation of teleportation protocols. We show that the one-qubit teleportation can be considered as a state transfer between subspaces of the whole Hilbert space of an indivisible eight-dimensional system. We explicitly show all corresponding operations and discuss an alternative way of implementation of similar tasks.
Quantum teleportation, a way to transfer the state of a quantum system from one location to another, is central to quantum communication and plays an important role in a number of quantum computation protocols. Previous experimental demonstrations have been implemented with photonic or ionic qubits. Very recently long-distance teleportation and open-destination teleportation have also been realized. Until now, previous experiments have only been able to teleport single qubits. However, since teleportation of single qubits is insufficient for a large-scale realization of quantum communication a…
We investigate the resources needed for secure teleportation of coherent states. We extend continuous variable teleportation to include quantum tele-amplification protocols, that allow non-unity classical gains and a pre-amplification or post-attenuation of the coherent state. We show that, for arbitrary Gaussian protocols and a significant class of Gaussian resources, two-way steering is required to achieve a teleportation fidelity beyond the no-cloning threshold. This provides an operational connection between Gaussian steerability and secure teleportation. We present practical recipes sugge…
Bidirectional quantum teleportation scheme is a two-way quantum communication process, in which two parties simultaneously receive each other information. Recently, in paper [1] (Zhou et al., IEEE Access, 7, 44269 (2019)), a six-qubit cluster state has been used to teleport three-qubit entangled state (Alice) and arbitrary single-qubit unknown quantum state (Bob) bidirectionally. An experimental point of view, the preparation and the maintenance of cluster type entangled state is very difficult and costly. So, in this paper we have designed an optimal scheme for bidirectional quantum teleporta…
We consider a single copy of a mixed state of two qubits and derive the optimal trace-preserving local operations assisted by classical communication (LOCC) such as to maximize the fidelity of teleportation that can be achieved with this state. These optimal local operations turn out to be implementable by one-way communication, and always yields a teleportation fidelity larger than 2/3 if the original state is entangled. This maximal achievable fidelity is an entanglement measure and turns out to quantify the minimal amount of mixing required to destroy the entanglement in a quantum state.
We present a scheme for teleporting an unknown, two-particle entangled state with a message from a sender (Alice) to a receiver (Bob) via a six-particle entangled channel. We also present another scheme for teleporting an unknown one-particle entangled state with a message transmitted in a two-way form between the same sender and receiver via a five-qubit cluster state. One-way hash functions, Bell-state measurements, and unitary operations are adopted in these two schemes. Our schemes use the physical characteristics of quantum mechanics to implement delegation, signature, and verification pr…
Quantum teleportation with additional a priori information about the input state achieves higher fidelity than teleportation of a completely unknown state. However, perfect teleportation of two non-orthogonal input states requires the same amount of entanglement as perfect teleportation of an unknown state, namely one ebit. We analyse how well two-state teleportation can be achieved using every degree of pure-state entanglement, and discuss the fidelity of `teleportation' that can be achieved with only classical communication but no shared entanglement. A two-state telecloning scheme is constr…
We review and compare Bell-state measurement and quantum teleportation schemes using linear optics with three different types of resources, i.e., two-photon pairs, entangled coherent states and hybrid entangled states. Remarkably, perfect teleportation with linear optics is possible in principle based on a hybrid approach that combines two-photon pairs and entangled coherent states. It turns out that hybrid approach allows to perform Bell-state measurement and local Pauli operations in a deterministic way, while it requires photon number resolving measurements.
We show that the recently proposed scheme of teleportation of continuous variables [S.L. Braunstein and H.J. Kimble, Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 869 (1998)] can be improved by a conditional measurement in the preparation of the entangled state shared by the sender and the recipient. The conditional measurement subtracts photons from the original entangled two-mode squeezed vacuum, by transmitting each mode through a low-reflectivity beam splitter and performing a joint photon-number measurement on the reflected beams. In this way the degree of entanglement of the shared state is increased and so is t…
Teleportation algorithm assumes specific Bell states as input, but actual sources typically generates more than one. This work presents a teleportation algorithm for a two Bell states mixture, including remaining distortion from previous control process.
We consider novel implementation of quantum teleportation protocol of unknown qubit with entangled hybrid state. Coherent components of the entangled hybrid state displace the teleported qubit at the same absolute but opposite in sign values, so that any information about amount by which the qubit is displaced is lost despite the fact that one of these events has definitely occurred. Alice unambiguously distinguishes her measurement outcomes and Bob obtains at his disposal states of a single photon in superposition of two modes with controllable amplitude distortions. We consider the implement…
Causal order can improve the quantum information transmission in teleportation due a noisy entangled resource by using an appropriate measurement state on the control state ruling the causal order. In this work, we get analytically the fidelity for the entire process under an arbitrary measurement over such control state and then we get a perfect teleportation by selecting the optimal measurement on it. We also analyse other values characterizing the imperfect entangled state where a perfect teleportation can not be reached. Notably, we determine that the best fidelity does not depend on the p…
We study quantum teleportation via a two-qubit Heisenberg XXZ chain under an inhomogeneous magnetic field. We first consider entanglement teleportation, and then focus on the teleportation fidelity under different conditions. The effects of anisotropy and the magnetic field, both uniform and inhomogeneous, are discussed. We also find that, though entanglement teleportation does require an entangled quantum channel, a nonzero critical value of minimum entanglement is not always necessary.
Recently, Ri-Gui Zhou et al. [Int. J. Theor. Phys. 59, 166-172 (2020)] proposed a scheme for bidirectional quantum teleportation of two-two and two-three qubit states by utilizing a six-qubit entangled state as a quantum channel. It is observed that the intrinsic efficiency calculated by Zhou et al. is not correct. In this improved scheme, we show that bidirectional teleportation of two-two and two-three qubit quantum states can be done by using optimized quantum resource and less consumption of classical resource. We also calculate the intrinsic efficiency of our improved scheme which is much…
We propose a scheme for probabilistic teleportation of an unknown two-particle state of general formation in ion trap. It is shown that one can realize experimentally this teleportation protocol of two-particle state with presently available techniques.
We investigate two-copy scenario of quantum teleportation based on Bell measurements. The detailed protocol is presented and the general expression of the corresponding optimal teleportation delity is derived, which is given by the two-copy fully entangled fraction that is invariant under local unitary transformations. We prove that under a speci c case of the protocol, which is signi cant for improving the optimal delity, the set of states with their two-copy fully entangled fractions bounded by a threshold value that required for useful two-copy teleportation is convex and compact. Hence the…
We propose a scheme for probabilistic teleportation of unknown two-particle state with partly entangled four-particle state via POVM. In this scheme the teleportation of unknown two-particle state can be realized with certain probability by performing two Bell state measurements, a proper POVM and a unitary transformation.
We investigate two schemes of the quantum teleportation with a $W$ state, which belongs to a different class from a Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger class. In the first scheme, the $W$ state is shared by three parties one of whom, called a sender, performs a Bell measurement. It is shown that quantum information of an unknown state is split between two parties and recovered with a certain probability. In the second scheme, a sender takes two particles of the $W$ state and performs positive operator valued measurements in two ways. For two schemes, we calculate the success probability and the averag…
In this letter, two different probabilistic teleportations of a two-particle entangled state by pure entangled three-particle state are shown. Their successful probabilities are different.
In this paper, we study the influence of anisotropy on the usefulness, of the entanglement in a two-qubit Heisenberg XY chain at thermal equilibrium in the presence of an external magnetic field, as resource for quantum teleportation via the standard teleportation protocol. We show that the nonzero thermal entanglement produced by adjusting the external magnetic field strength beyond some critical strength is a useful resource. We also considered entanglement teleportation via two two-qubit Heisenberg XY chains.
Quantum teleportation is a process in which an unknown quantum state is transferred between two spatially separated subspaces of a bipartite quantum system which share an entangled state and communicate classically. In the case of photonic states, this process is probabilistic due to the impossibility of performing a two-particle complete Bell state analysis with linear optics. In order to achieve a deterministic teleportation scheme, harnessing other degrees of freedom of a single particle, rather than a third particle, has been proposed. Indeed, this leads to a novel type of deterministic te…
EPR steering is an important quantum resource in quantum information and computation. In this paper, its applications in quantum teleportation are investigated. First of all, the upper bound of the average teleportation fidelity based on the EPR steering is derived. When the receiver can only perform the identity or the Pauli rotation operations, the X-type states which violate the three-setting linear steering inequality could be used for teleportation. In the end, the steering observables and the average teleportation fidelities of the two-qubit reduced states for three-qubit pure states mai…
We suggest implementation of quantum teleportation protocol of unknown qubit beyond Bell states formalism. Hybrid entangled state composed of coherent components that belong to Alice and dual-rail single photon at Bob disposal is used. Nonlinear effect on the teleported state is realized due to peculiarity of interaction of coherent components with discrete variable state on a beam splitter. Bob performs unitary transformation after receiving the appropriate classical information. The protocol is nearly deterministic but the output state is subject to amplitude distortion which reduces the fid…
We show, by making conditional measurements on the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) squeezed vacuum, that one can improve the efficacy of teleportation for both the position difference, momentum sum and number difference, phase sum continuous variable teleportation protocols. We investigate the relative abilities of the standard and conditional EPR states, and show that by conditioning we can improve the fidelity of teleportation of coherent states from below to above the $\bar{F} = 2/3$ boundary.
In this work, we study the local distinguishability of maximally entangled states (MESs). In particular, we are concerned with whether any fixed number of MESs can be locally distinguishable for sufficiently large dimensions. Fan and Tian \emph{et al.} have already obtained two satisfactory results for the generalized Bell states (GBSs) and the qudit lattice states when applied to prime or prime power dimensions. We construct a general twist-teleportation scheme for any orthonormal basis with MESs that is inspired by the method used in [Phys. Rev. A \textbf{70}, 022304 (2004)]. Using this tele…
A simplification scheme of probabilistic teleportation of two-particle state of general form is given. By means of the primitive operations consisting of single-qubit gates, two-qubit controlled-not gates, Von Neumann measurement and classically controlled operations, we construct an efficient quantum logical network for implementing the new scheme of probabilistic teleportation of a two-particle state of general form.
Recently, entanglement teleportation has been investigated in Phys. Rev. Lett. 84, 4236 (2000). In this paper we study entanglement teleportation via two separate thermally entangled states of two-qubit Heisenberg XX chain. We established the condition under which the parameters of the model have to satisfy in order to teleport entanglement. The necessary minimum amount of thermal entanglement for some fixed strength of exchange coupling is a function of the magnetic field and temperature.
We investigate the multiple teleportation with some nonmaximally entangled channels. The efficiencies of two multiple teleportation protocols, the separate multiple teleportation protocol (SMTP) and the global multiple teleportation protocol (GMTP), are calculated. We show that GMTP is more efficient than SMTP.
Port-based teleportation (PBT), introduced in 2008, is a type of quantum teleportation protocol which transmits the state to the receiver without requiring any corrections on the receiver's side. Evaluating the performance of PBT was computationally intractable and previous attempts succeeded only with small systems. We study PBT protocols and fully characterize their performance for arbitrary dimensions and number of ports. We develop new mathematical tools to study the symmetries of the measurement operators that arise in these protocols and belong to the algebra of partially transposed perm…
We present a scheme of teleportation of the state of motion of atoms making use of screens with slits and cavities. The fascinating aspects of quantum mechanics are highlighted making use of entanglement and the interaciton of atoms with slits.
We study the optimal teleportation based on Bell measurements via the thermal states of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXX chain in the presence of Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction and obtain the optimal unitary transformation. The explicit expressions of the output state and the teleportation fidelity are presented and compared with those of the standard protocol. It is shown that in this protocol the teleportation fidelity is always larger and unit fidelity is achieved at zero temperature. The DM interaction can enhance the teleportation fidelity at finite temperatures…
A scheme for teleporting an unknown two-particle entangled state via W class states is proposed. In this scheme, the W class entangled states are considered as quantum channels. It is shown that by means of optimal discrimination between two nonorthogonal quantum states, probabilistic teleportation of the two-particle entangled state can be achieved.
This paper includes two comments. The first one is a comment on 'Teleportation of two quNit entanglement: Exploiting local resources'. Two different efficient methods are presented to modify some details of N. Ba An's protocol, so that teleportation of two quNit entanglement can be successfully achieved in terms of the revised N. Ba An's protocol. The second one is a comment on 'Reply to Yang et al.'s comment'.
We study the two qubits Heisenberg XX chain with magnetic impurity in the presence of the external magnetic field and calculate the optimal fidelity of standard teleportation via the thermal equilibrium state. It is found that the combined influence of magnetic impurity and external magnetic field can increase the critical temperatures of entanglement and quantum teleportation without limit. The relation between two kinds of critical temperatures is revealed.
Quantum teleportation provides a way to transfer unknown quantum states from one system to another via an entangled state as a quantum channel without physical transmission of the object itself. The entangled channel, measurement performed by the sender (Alice), and classical information sent to the receiver (Bob) are three key ingredients in the procedure, which need to cooperate with each other. To study the relationship among the three parts, we propose a scheme for perfect teleportation of a qubit through a high-dimensional quantum channel in a pure state with two equal largest Schmidt coe…
We investigate chain teleportation of a qutrit-state via the non-maximally two-qutrit entangled channels. For the case of four parties, the efficiencies of two chain teleportation protocols, the separate chain teleportation protocol (SCTP) and the global chain teleportation protocol (GCTP), are calculated. In SCTP the errors are corrected between every step while in GCTP the errors are corrected only at the end. Furthermore, we present a piecewise global chain teleportation protocol (PGCTP) for keeping away from the inconvenience of error-correction of GCTP. We show that PGCTP is more efficien…
Thermal entanglement of a two-qubit Heisenberg chain in presence of the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction and entanglement teleportation when using two independent Heisenberg chains as quantum channel are investigated. It is found that the DM interaction can excite the entanglement and teleportation fidelity. The output entanglement increases linearly with increasing value of input one, its dependences on the temperature, DM interaction and spin coupling constant are given in detail. Entanglement teleportation will be better realized via antiferromagnetic spin cha…
We study bipartite entangled states in arbitrary dimensions and obtain different bounds for the entanglement measures in terms of teleportation fidelity. We find that there is a simple relation between negativity and teleportation fidelity for pure states but for mixed states, an upper bound is obtained for negativity in terms of teleportation fidelity using convex-roof extension negativity (CREN). However, with this it is not clear how to distinguish betweeen states useful for teleportation and positive partial transpose (PPT) entangled states. Further, there exists a strong conjecture in the…
We investigate the teleportation of an entangled two-qubit state using three-qubit GHZ and W channels. The effects of white noise on the average teleportation fidelity and amount of entanglement transmitted are also studied.
Here we demonstrate quantum teleportation through hypergraph states, which are the generalization of graph states, and due to their non-local entanglement properties, it allows us to perform quantum teleportation. Here we design some hypergraph states useful for quantum teleportation and process the schemes for quantum teleportation of single-qubit and two-qubit arbitrary states via three-uniform three-qubit and four-qubit hypergraph states respectively. We explicate the experimental realization of quantum teleportation of both single and two-qubit arbitrary states. Then we run our quantum cir…
As a variant of the original quantum teleportation, the port-based teleportation has been proposed, and its various kinds of useful applications in quantum information processing have been explored. Two users in the port-based teleportation initially share an arbitrary pure state, which can be represented by applying one user's local operation to a bipartite maximally entangled state. If the maximally entangled state is a $2M$-qudit state, then it can be expressed as $M$ copies of a two-qudit maximally entangled state, where $M$ is the number of the ports. We here consider a generalization of …
The entanglement dynamics of an anisotropic two-qubit Heisenberg XYZ system in the presence of intrinsic decoherence is studied. The usefulness of such system for performance of the quantum teleportation protocol ${\cal T}_0$ and entanglement teleportation protocol ${\cal T}_1$ is also investigated. The results depend on the initial conditions and the parameters of the system. For the product and maximally entangled initial states, increasing the size of spin-orbit interaction parameter $D$ amplifies the effects of dephasing and hence decreases the asymptotic entanglement and fidelity of telep…
We consider two qubit teleportation via quantum channel affected by amplitude damping noise. Addressing the same problem, X. Hu, Y. Gu, Q. Gong and G. Guo [Phys. Rev. A 81, 054302, (2010)] recently showed that in presence of noise, subjecting more qubits in quantum channel to amplitude damping can increase the fidelity of teleportation protocol. However, in this paper, by making some adjustments on quantum channel, we obtain teleportation fidelity which is even higher than one in the case of X. Hu et al. Moreover, our strategy is simpler than quantum distillation and compared to using weak mea…
Quantum Teleportation, the transfer of the state of one quantum system to another without direct interaction between both systems, is an important way to transmit information encoded in quantum states and to generate quantum correlations (entanglement) between remote quantum systems. So far, for photons, only superpositions of two distinguishable states (one ``qubit'') could be teleported. Here we show how to teleport a ``qudit'', i.e. a superposition of an arbitrary number $d$ of distinguishable states present in the orbital angular momentum of a single photon using $d$ beam splitters and $d$…
