Entanglement generation in continuously coupled parametric generators

We investigate a compact source of entanglement. This device is composed of a pair of linearly coupled nonlinear waveguides operating by means of degenerate parametric downconversion. For the vacuum state at the input the generalized squeeze variance and logarithmic negativity are used to quantify the amount of nonclassicality and entanglement of output beams. Squeezing and entanglement generation for various dynamical regimes of the device are discussed.

Tunable optical parametric generator based on the pump spatial walk-off

We suggest a novel optical parametric generator (OPG) in which one of the down-converted beams is spontaneously generated along the Poynting vector of the pump beam. In this configuration, the generation takes advantage of the walk-off of the extraordinary pump rather than being degraded by it. Theory of biphoton generation in a single-resonant optical parametric oscillator far below threshold

We present a quantum-theoretical treatment of biphoton generation in single-resonant type-II parametric down-conversion. The nonlinear medium is continuously pumped and is placed inside a cavity which is resonant for the signal field, but nonresonant for the idler deflected by an intra-cavity polarizing beam splitter. The intensity of the classical pump is assumed to be sufficiently low in order to yield a biphoton production rate that is small compared to the cavity loss rate. Increased pump acceptance bandwidth in spontaneous parametric downconversion process using Bragg reflection waveguides

In this paper we show that by suitably tailoring the dispersion characteristics of a Bragg reflection waveguide (BRW) mode, it is possible to achieve efficient photon pair generation over a large pump bandwidth while maintaining narrow signal bandwidth. The structure proposed consists of a high index core BRW with a periodically poled GaN core and periodically stratified cladding made up of alternate layers of $Al_{0.02}Ga_{0.98}N$ and $Al_{0.45}Ga_{0.55}N$. Such photon-pair generators should find applications in realizing compact and stable sources for quantum information processing.

Randomness extraction from Bell violation with continuous parametric down conversion

We present a violation of the CHSH inequality without the fair sampling assumption with a continuously pumped photon pair source combined with two high efficiency superconducting detectors. Due to the continuous nature of the source, the choice of the duration of each measurement round effectively controls the average number of photon pairs participating in the Bell test.
