Parity Violation and a Preferred Frame

Based on parity violation in the weak interaction and evidences from neutrino oscillation, a natural choice is that neutrinos may be spacelike particles with a tiny mass. To keep causality for spacelike particles, a kinematic time under a non-standard form of the Lorentz transformation is introduced, which is related to a preferred frame. A Dirac-type equation for spacelike neutrinos is further investigated and its solutions are discussed. We propose a novel scheme for distinguishing between the Dirac and Majorana nature of neutrinos via interaction of a neutrino beam with microwave photons inside a cavity. We study the effective photon-photon polarization exchange induced by the photon-neutrino scattering. Interference phenomenon and geometric phase for Dirac neutrino in pion+ decay

We analyze the geometric phase in the neutrino oscillation phenomenon, which follows the pion decay π+ --> μ+ + ν_μ. Its value πis consistent with the present-day global analysis of the Standard Model neutrino oscillation parameters, accounting for the nonzero value of θ_13. The impact of the charge-parity (CP) violating phase δ, the neutrino's nature, and the new physics is discussed.
