Generating functions for the coefficients of the Cremmer-Gervais R-matrices

The coefficients of certain operators on $V\otimes V$ can be constructed using generating functions. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for some such operators to satisfy the Yang-Baxter equation. As a corollary we obtain a simple, direct proof that the Cremmer-Gervais R-matrices satisfy the Yang-Baxter equation. This approach also clarifies Cremmer and Gervais's original proof via the dynamical Yang-Baxter equation.

Cremmer-Gervais r-matrices and the Cherednik Algebras of type GL2

We give an intepretation of the Cremmer-Gervais r-matrices for sl(n) in terms of actions of elements in the rational and trigonometric Cherednik algebras of type GL2 on certain subspaces of their polynomial representations. This is used to compute the nilpotency index of the Jordanian r-matrices, thus answering a question of Gerstenhaber and Giaquinto. We also give an interpretation of the Cremmer-Gervais quantization in terms of the corresponding double affine Hecke algebra.

On the Cremmer-Gervais quantizations of SL(n)

Non-standard quantum groups $C_R [GL(n)]$ and $C_R [SL(n)]$ are constructed for a two parameter version of the Cremmer-Gervais $R$-matrix. An epimorphism is constructed from $C_R [GL(n)]$ onto the restricted dual $U_{\bar{R}}(\frak{gl}(n-1))$ associated to a related smaller $R$-matrix of the same form. A related result is proved concerning factorizable Lie bialgebras. For any such Lie bialgebra, the dual Lie bialgebra has a canonical homomorphic image which is again factorizable.

Semi-classical twists for sl(3) and sl(4) boundary r-matrices of Cremmer-Gervais type

We obtain explicit formulas for the semi-classical twists deforming the coalgebraic structure of U(sl(3)) and U(sl(4)). In rank 2 and 3 the corresponding universal R-matrices quantize the boundary r-matrices of Cremmer-Gervais type defining Lie Frobenius structures on the maximal parabolic subalgebras in sl(n).

Dynamical systems related to the Cremmer-Gervais R-matrix

The generalized Cremmer-Gervais R-matrix being a twist of the standard R-matrix of $SL_q(3)$, depends on two extra parameters. Properties of this R-matrix are discussed and two dynamical systems, the quantum group covariant $q$-oscillator and an integrable spin chain with a non-hermitian Hamiltonian, are constructed.

We propose a method of quantization of certain Lie bialgebra structures on the polynomial Lie algebras related to quasi-trigonometric solutions of the classical Yang--Baxter equation. The method is based on an affine realization of certain seaweed algebras and their quantum analogues. We also propose a method of $ω$-affinization, which enables us to quantize rational $r$-matrices of $\mathfrak{sl}(3)$.

On rime Ansatz

The ice Ansatz on matrix solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation is weakened to a condition which we call rime. Generic rime solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation are described. We prove that the rime non-unitary (respectively, unitary) R-matrix is equivalent to the Cremmer-Gervais (respectively, boundary Cremmer-Gervais) solution. Generic rime classical r-matices satisfy the (non-)homogeneous associative classical Yang-Baxter equation.

Degenerations and representations of twisted Shibukawa-Ueno R-operators

We study degenerations of the Belavin R-matrices via the infinite dimensional operators defined by Shibukawa-Ueno. We define a two-parameter family of generalizations of the Shibukawa-Ueno R-operators. These operators have finite dimensional representations which include Belavin's R-matrices in the elliptic case, a two-parameter family of twisted affinized Cremmer-Gervais R-matrices in the trigonometric case, and a two-parameter family of twisted (affinized) generalized Jordanian R-matrices in the rational case. Subprime Solutions of the Classical Yang-Baxter Equation

We introduce a new family of classical $r$-matrices for the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_n$ that lies in the Zariski boundary of the Belavin-Drinfeld space ${\mathcal M}$ of quasi-triangular solutions to the classical Yang-Baxter equation. In this setting ${\mathcal M}$ is a finite disjoint union of components; exactly $ϕ(n)$ of these components are $SL_n$-orbits of single points. Differential-Dunkl Operators and Nonstandard Solutions to the Classical Yang-Baxter Equation

For every pair of positive coprime integers, m and n, with m<n, there is an associated generalized Cremmer-Gervais r-matrix r_{m,n} for the Lie algebra sl_n which provides a nonstandard quasitriangular solution to the classical Yang-Baxter equation. We give an interpretation of r_{n-2,n} (for n odd) in terms of differential-Dunkl operators related to the polynomial representation of dihedral-type rational Cherednik algebras. Finally, we use this interpretation to partially answer a conjecture of Gerstenhaber and Giaquinto concerning boundary solutions to the classical Yang-Baxter equation.

Boundary Solutions of the Classical Yang-Baxter Equation

We define a new class of unitary solutions to the classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE). These ``boundary solutions'' are those which lie in the closure of the space of unitary solutions to the modified classical Yang-Baxter equation (MCYBE). Using the Belavin-Drinfel'd classification of the solutions to the MCYBE, we are able to exhibit new families of solutions to the CYBE. We replace the ice Ansatz on matrix solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation by a weaker condition which we call "rime". Rime solutions include the standard Drinfeld-Jimbo R-matrix. In this paper we propose versions of the associative Yang-Baxter equation and higher order $R$-matrix identities which can be applied to quantum dynamical $R$-matrices. Hecke algebraic properties of dynamical R-matrices. Application to related quantum matrix algebras

The quantum dynamical Yang-Baxter (or Gervais-Neveu-Felder) equation defines an R-matrix R(p), where $p$ stands for a set of mutually commuting variables. A family of SL(n)-type solutions of this equation provides a new realization of the Hecke algebra. We define quantum antisymmetrizers, introduce the notion of quantum determinant and compute the inverse quantum matrix for matrix algebras of the type R(p) a_1 a_2 = a_1 a_2 R. It is pointed out that such a quantum matrix algebra arises in the operator realization of the chiral zero modes of the WZNW model.

Quantum dynamical Yang-Baxter equation over a nonabelian base

In this paper we consider dynamical r-matrices over a nonabelian base. There are two main results. First, corresponding to a fat reductive decomposition of a Lie algebra $\frakg =\frakh \oplus \frakm$, we construct geometrically a non-degenerate triangular dynamical r-matrix using symplectic fibrations.
