Quantum cohomology and the periodic Toda lattice

We describe a relation between the periodic one-dimensional Toda lattice and the quantum cohomology of the periodic flag manifold (an infinite-dimensional Kaehler manifold). This generalizes a result of Givental and Kim relating the open Toda lattice and the quantum cohomology of the finite-dimensional flag manifold. We derive a simple and explicit "differential operator formula" for the necessary quantum products, which applies both to the finite-dimensional and to the infinite-dimensional situations.

Solutions of the tt*-Toda Equations and Quantum Cohomology of Flag Manifolds

We relate the quantum cohomology of minuscule flag manifolds to the tt*-Toda equations, a special case of the topological-antitopological fusion equations which were introduced by Cecotti and Vafa in their study of supersymmetric quantum field theories. To do this, we combine the Lie-theoretic treatment of the tt*-Toda equations of Guest-Ho with the Lie-theoretic description of the quantum cohomology of minuscule flag manifolds from Chaput-Manivel-Perrin and Golyshev-Manivel.

Quantum cohomology of the infinite dimensional generalized flag manifolds

An affine deformation of the quantum cohomology ring of flag manifolds and periodic Toda lattice

Consider the generalized flag manifold $G/B$ and the corresponding affine flag manifold $\mathcal{Fl}_G$. Topological-antitopological fusion and the quantum cohomology of Grassmannians

We suggest an explanation for the part of the Satake Correspondence which relates the quantum cohomology of complex Grassmannians and the quantum cohomology of complex projective space, as well as their respective Stokes data, based on the original physics approach using the tt* equations. We also use the Stokes data of the tt* equations to provide a Lie-theoretic link between particles in affine Toda models and solitons in certain sigma-models. Along the way, we illustrate some (well known) relations between the tt* equations, the non-abelian Hodge Correspondence, and quantum cohomology.

Periodic Benjamin-Ono equation with discrete Laplacian and 2D-Toda Hierarchy

We study the relation between the periodic Benjamin-Ono equation with discrete Laplacian and the two dimensional Toda hierarchy. We introduce the tau-functions tau_pm(z) for the periodic Benjamin-Ono equation, construct two families of integrals of motion {M_1,M_2,cdots}, {overline{M}_1,overline{M}_2,cdots}, and calculate some examples of the bilinear equations using the Hamiltonian structure. We confirmed that some of the low lying bilinear equations agree with the ones obtained from a certain reduction of the 2D Toda hierarchy.

Periodic cyclic homology as sheaf cohomology

We study a noncommutative version of the infinitesimal site of Grothendieck. A theorem of Grothendieck establishes that the cohomology of the structure sheaf on the infinitesimal topology of a scheme of characteristic zero is de Rham cohomology. Hopf-cyclic Cohomology of Quantum Enveloping Algebras

In this paper we calculate both the periodic and non-periodic Hopf-cyclic cohomology of Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum enveloping algebra $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$ for an arbitrary semi-simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ with coefficients in a modular pair in involution. We show that its Hochschild cohomology is concentrated in a single degree determined by the rank of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$.

Integral representation for the eigenfunctions of quantum periodic Toda chain

Integral representation for the eigenfunctions of quantum periodic Toda chain is constructed for N-particle case. The multiple integral is calculated using the Cauchy residue formula. This gives the representation which reproduces the particular results obtained by Gutzwiller for N=2,3 and 4-particle chain. Cyclic cohomology and Baaj-Skandalis duality

We construct a duality isomorphism in equivariant periodic cyclic homology analogous to Baaj-Skandalis duality in equivariant Kasparov theory. As a consequence we obtain general versions of the Green-Julg theorem and the dual Green-Julg theorem in periodic cyclic theory. $W$--geometry of the Toda systems associated with non-exceptional simple Lie algebras

The present paper describes the $W$--geometry of the Abelian finite non-periodic (conformal) Toda systems associated with the $B,C$ and $D$ series of the simple Lie algebras endowed with the canonical gradation. Integrals of Motion and Quantum Groups

A homological construction of integrals of motion of the classical and quantum Toda field theories is given. Using this construction, we identify the integrals of motion with cohomology classes of certain complexes, which are modeled on the BGG resolutions of the associated Lie algebras and their quantum deformations. This way we prove that all classical integrals of motion can be quantized. On a Gauss-Givental Representation of Quantum Toda Chain Wave Function

We propose group theory interpretation of the integral representation of the quantum open Toda chain wave function due to Givental. Nonabelian Integrable Systems, Quasideterminants, and Marchenko Lemma

We find explicit (multisoliton) solutions for nonabelian integrable systems such as periodic Toda field equations, Langmuir equations, and Schrodinger equations for functions with values in any associative algebra. The solution for nonabelian Toda field equations for root systems of types A, B, C was expressed by the authors in a previous paper (q-alg/9701008) using quasideterminants introduced by the last two authors. To find multisoliton solutions of periodic Toda equations and other nonabelian systems we use a combination of these ideas with important lemmas which are due to Marchenko.
