Generalized Shioda-Inose Structures on K3 Surfaces

We examine the finite group actions on K3 and Abelian surfaces giving the same orbit space after desingularization. We show that when the group is not Z_2, then the Picard number of the K3 surface must be 19 or 20, and that in the latter case the Abelian surface is uniquely determined by the K3 surface.

Generalized Shioda--Inose structures of order 3

A Shioda--Inose structure is a geometric construction which associates to an Abelian surface a projective K3 surface in such a way that their transcendental lattices are isometric. This geometric construction was described by Morrison by considering special symplectic involutions on the K3 surfaces. After Morrison several authors provided explicit examples. The aim of this paper is to generalize Morrison's results and some of the known examples to an analogous geometric construction involving not involutions, but order 3 automorphisms. Mordell-Weil lattice of Inose's Elliptic $K3$ surface arising from the product of 3-isogenous elliptic curves

From the product of two elliptic curves, Shioda and Inose constructed an elliptic $K3$ surface having two $\mathrm{II}^*$ fibers. Its Mordell-Weil lattice structure depends on the morphisms between the two elliptic curves. In this paper, we give a method of writing down generators of the Mordell-Weil lattice of such elliptic surfaces when two elliptic curves are $3$-isogenous. In particular, we obtain a basis of the Mordell-Weil lattice for the singular $K3$ surfaces $X_{[3,3,3]}$, $X_{[3,2,3]}$ and $X_{[3,0,3]}$.

Fields of definition of singular K3 surfaces

This paper gives upper and lower bounds for the degree of the field of definition of a singular K3 surface, generalising a recent result by Shimada. We use work of Shioda-Mitani and Shioda-Inose and classical theory of complex multiplication.

Classification of extremal elliptic K3 surfaces and fundamental groups of open K3 surfaces

We present a complete list of extremal elliptic K3 surfaces. There are altogether 325 of them. The first 112 coincides with Miranda-Persson's list for semi-stable ones. The data include the transcendental lattice which determines uniquely the K3 surface by a result of Shioda and Inose, the singular fibre type and the Mordell Weil group. As an application, we give a sufficient condition for the topological fundamental group of complement to an ADE-configuration of smooth rational curves on a K3 surface to be trivial.

On good reduction of some K3 surfaces related to abelian surfaces

The Neron--Ogg--Safarevic criterion for abelian varieties tells that whether an abelian variety has good reduction or not can be determined from the Galois action on its l-adic etale cohomology. We prove an analogue of this criterion for some special kind of K3 surfaces (those which admit Shioda--Inose structures of product type), which are deeply related to abelian surfaces. We also prove a p-adic analogue. This paper includes Ito's unpublished result for Kummer surfaces.

Bloch's conjecture for Generalized Burniat Type surfaces with $p_g=0$

The aim of this article is to prove Bloch's conjecture, asserting that the group of rational equivalence classes of zero cycles of degree 0 is trivial for surfaces with geometric genus zero, for regular generalized Burniat type surfaces. The technique is the method of "enough automorphisms" introduced by Inose-Mizukami in a simplified version due to the first author.

Constructions of Kummer structures on generalized Kummer surfaces

We study generalized Kummer surfaces Km$_{3}(A)$, by which we mean the K3 surfaces obtained by desingularization of the quotient of an abelian surface $A$ by an order $3$ symplectic automorphism group. Such a surface carries $9$ disjoint configurations of two smooth rational curves $C,C'$ with $CC'=1$. This $9{\bf A}_{2}$-configuration plays a role similar to the Nikulin configuration of $16$ disjoint smooth rational curves on (classical) Kummer surfaces. We study the (generalized) question of T.
