Actions of compact groups on coherent sheaves

Let K be a compact Lie group and G its complexification. For a not necessarily reduced Stein K-space X we show that there is a complex space Z endowed with a holomorphic action of the universal complexification G of K that contains X as an open K-stable subset. The correspondence is functorial. As our main result we prove that every coherent K-sheaf on X extends uniquely to a G-sheaf on Z.

Coherent sheaves and cohesive sheaves

We consider coherent and cohesive sheaves of $\cO$--modules over open sets $Ω\subset\bC^n$. We prove that coherent sheaves, and certain other sheaves derived from them, are cohesive; and conversely, certain sheaves derived from cohesive sheaves are coherent. An important tool in all this, also proved here, is that the sheaf of Banach space valued holomorphic germs is flat.

Properness criteria for families of coherent analytic sheaves

We extend Langton's valuative criterion for families of coherent algebraic sheaves to a complex analytic set-up. As a consequence we derive a set of sufficient conditions for the compactness of a moduli space of semistable sheaves over a compact complex manifold. This applies also to some cases appearing in complex projective geometry not covered by previous results.

Modifications of torsion-free coherent analytic sheaves

We study the transformation of torsion-free coherent analytic sheaves under proper modifications. More precisely, we study direct images of inverse image sheaves, and torsion-free preimages of direct image sheaves. Under some conditions, it is shown that torsion-free coherent sheaves can be realized as the direct image of locally free sheaves under modifications. A splitting lemma for coherent sheaves

The presented splitting lemma extends the techniques of Gromov and Forstnerič to glue local sections of a given analytic sheaf, a key step in the proof of all Oka principles. The novelty on which the proof depends is a lifting lemma for transition maps of coherent sheaves, which yields a reduction of the proof to the work of Forstnerič. As applications we get shortcuts in the proofs of Forster and Ramspott's Oka principle for admissible pairs and of the interpolation property of sections of elliptic submersions, an extension of Gromov's results obtained by Forstnerič and Prezelj.
