In this paper we study the Poisson-Lie version of the Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction defined in q-alg/9704011, q-alg/9702016. Using the bialgebra structure related to the new Drinfeld realization of affine quantum groups we describe reduction in terms of constraints. This realization of reduction admits direct quantization.
As a byproduct we obtain an explicit expression for the symplectic form associated to the twisted Heisenberg double and calculate the moment map for the twisted dressing action. For some class of infinite-dimensional Poisson Lie groups we also prove an analogue of the Ginzburg-Weinstein isomorphism.
Applying the method of the paper [CT], we perform a quantum version of the Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction in Reflection Equation algebras and braided Yangians, associated with involutive and Hecke symmetries of general forms. This reduction is based on the Cayley-Hamilton identity valid for the generating matrices of these algebras.
The q-deformed version of the Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction is extended to the case of the algebra of 'complex size matrices'; this construction generalizes earlier results of B.Khesin and F.Malikov on universal DS reduction and follows the pattern of recent studies of q-deformed DS reduction which were started by E.Frenkel, N.Reshetikhin and one of the authors.
We prove a vanishing theorem of the cohomology arising from the two Quantized Drinfeld-Sokolov reductions (``+'' and ``-'' reduction) introduced by Feigin-Frenkel and Frenkel-Kac-Wakimoto. As a consequence, the vanishing conjecture of Frenkel-Kac-Wakimoto is proved for the ``-'' reduction and partially for the ``+'' reduction.
We construct a discrete quantum version of the Drinfeld-Sokolov correspondence for the sine-Gordon system. The classical version of this correspondence is a birational Poisson morphism between the phase space of the discrete sine-Gordon system and a Poisson homogeneous space. Under this correspondence, the commuting higher mKdV vector fields correspond to the action of an Abelian Lie algebra. We quantize this picture (1) by quantizing this Poisson homogeneous space, together with the action of the Abelian Lie algebra, (2) by quantizing the sine-Gordon phase space, (3) by computing the quantum …
In this article, we propose a q-analogue of the Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy of type A. We also discuss its relationship with the q-Painleve VI equation and the q-hypergeometric function.
Fix an affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}_κ$ with associated principal affine W-algebra $\mathcal{W}_κ$. A basic conjecture of Frenkel--Kac--Wakimoto asserts that Drinfeld--Sokolov reduction sends admissible $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}_κ$-modules to zero or cohomological shifts of minimal series $\mathcal{W}_κ$-modules. We prove this conjecture and a natural generalization to the spectrally flowed Drinfeld--Sokolov reduction functors. This extends the previous results of Arakawa for the minus reduction.
We construct affinization of the algebra $gl_λ$ of ``complex size'' matrices, that contains the algebras $\hat{gl_n}$ for integral values of the parameter. The Drinfeld--Sokolov Hamiltonian reduction of the algebra $\hat{gl_λ}$ results in the quadratic Gelfand--Dickey structure on the Poisson--Lie group of all pseudodifferential operators of fractional order. This construction is extended to the simultaneous deformation of orthogonal and simplectic algebras that produces self-adjoint operators, and it has a counterpart for the Toda lattices with fractional number of particles.
The paper is the sequel to q-alg/9704011. We extend the Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction procedure to q-difference operators associated with arbitrary semisimple Lie algebras. This leads to a new elliptic deformation of the Lie bialgebra structure on the associated loop algebra. The related classical r-matrix is explicitly described in terms of the Coxeter transformation. We also present a cross-section theorem for q-gauge transformations which generalizes a theorem due to R.Steinberg.
The generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov construction of KdV systems is reviewed in the case of an arbitrary affine Lie algebra paying particular attention to Hamiltonian aspects and $\W$-algebras. Some extensions of known results as well as a new interpretation of the construction are also presented.
Developing upon the ideas of ref. \ref{6}, it is shown how the theory of classical $W$ algebras can be formulated on a higher genus Riemann surface in the spirit of Krichever and Novikov. The basic geometric object is the Drinfeld--Sokolov principal bundle $L$ associated to a simple complex Lie group $G$ equipped with an $SL(2,\Bbb C)$ subgroup $S$, whose properties are studied in detail. On a multipunctured Riemann surface, the Drinfeld--Sokolov--Krichever--Novikov spaces are defined, as a generalization of the customary Krichever--Novikov spaces, their properties are analyzed and standard ba…
We propose a q-difference version of the Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction scheme, which gives us q-deformations of the classical W-algebras by reduction from Poisson-Lie loop groups. We consider in detail the case of SL(2). The nontrivial consistency conditions fix the choice of the classical r-matrix defining the Poisson-Lie structure on the loop group LSL(2), and this leads to a new elliptic classical r-matrix. The reduced Poisson algebra coincides with the deformation of the classical Virasoro algebra previously defined in q-alg/9505025. We also consider a discrete analogue of this Poisson algebr…
We define deformations of W-algebras associated to complex semi-simple Lie algebras by means of quantum Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction procedure for affine quantum groups. We also introduce Wakimoto modules for arbitrary affine quantum groups and construct free field resolutions and screening operators for the deformed W-algebras. We compare our results with earlier definitions of q-W-algebras and of the deformed screening operators due to Awata, Kubo, Odake, Shiraishi (q-alg/9507034, q-alg/9508011, q-alg/9612001), Feigin, E. Frenkel (q-alg/9508009) and E. Frenkel, Reshetikhin (q-alg/9708006). The…
The $p\times p$ matrix version of the $r$-KdV hierarchy has been recently treated as the reduced system arising in a Drinfeld-Sokolov type Hamiltonian symmetry reduction applied to a Poisson submanifold in the dual of the Lie algebra $\widehat{gl}_{pr}\otimes {\Complex}[λ, λ^{-1}]$. Here a series of extensions of this matrix Gelfand-Dickey system is derived by means of a generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction defined for the Lie algebra $\widehat{gl}_{pr+s}\otimes {\Complex}[λ,λ^{-1}]$ using the natural embedding $gl_{pr}\subset gl_{pr+s}$ for $s$ any positive integer. The hierarchies obtained…
The Lax operator of the Gaudin type models is a 1-form on the classical level. In virtue of the quantization scheme proposed in [Talalaev04] (hep-th/0404153) it is natural to treat the quantum Lax operator as a connection; this connection is a particular case of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov connection [ChervovTalalaev06] (hep-th/0604128). In this paper we find a gauge transformation which produces the "second normal form" or the "Drinfeld-Sokolov" form. Moreover the differential operator naturally corresponding to this form is given precisely by the quantum characteristic polynomial [Talalaev04]…
We employ the Poisson-Lie group of pseudo-difference operators to define lattice analogs of classical $W_m$-algebras. We then show that the so-constructed algebras coincide with the ones given by discrete Drinfeld-Sokolov type reduction.
The equivalence between the approaches of Drinfeld-Sokolov and Feigin-Frenkel to the mKdV hierarchies is established. A new derivation of the mKdV equations in the zero curvature form is given. Connection with the Baker-Akhiezer function and the tau-function is also discussed.
We construct explicit Drinfel'd twists for the generalized Cartan type $H$ Lie algebras in characteristic $0$ and obtain the corresponding quantizations and their integral forms. Via making modular reductions including modulo $p$ reduction and modulo $p$-restrictedness reduction, and base changes, we derive certain modular quantizations of the restricted universal enveloping algebra $\mathbf u(\mathbf{H}(2n;\underline{1}))$ in characteristic $p$. They are new non-pointed Hopf algebras of truncated $p$-polynomial noncommutative and noncocommutative deformation of prime-power dimension $p^{p^{2n…
The problem of describing the singular vectors of $\cW_3$ and $\cW_3^{(2)}$ Verma modules is addressed, viewing these algebras as BRST quantized Drinfeld-Sokolov (DS) reductions of $A^{(1)}_2\,$. Singular vectors of an $A^{(1)}_2\,$ Verma module are mapped into $\W$ algebra singular vectors and are shown to differ from the latter by terms trivial in the BRST cohomology. These maps are realized by quantum versions of the highest weight DS gauge transformations.
We study natural cluster structures in the rings of regular functions on simple complex Lie groups and Poisson-Lie structures compatible with these cluster structures. According to our main conjecture, each class in the Belavin-Drinfeld classification of Poisson-Lie structures on $\G$ corresponds to a cluster structure in $Ø(\G)$. We prove a reduction theorem explaining how different parts of the conjecture are related to each other. The conjecture is established for $SL_n$, $n<5$, and for any $\G$ in the case of the standard Poisson-Lie structure.
We construct explicit Drinfel'd twists of Jordanian type for the generalized Cartan type K Lie algebras in characteristic 0 and obtain the corresponding quantizations, especially their integral forms. By making modular reductions including modulo p and modulo p-restrictedness reduction, and base changes, we derive certain modular quantizations of the restricted universal enveloping algebra $\mathbf u(\mathbf{K}(2n{+}1;\underline{1}))$ for the restricted simple Lie algebra of Cartan type K in characteristic p. They are new pointed Hopf algebras of noncommutative and noncocommutative and with di…
In this article we formulate a group of birational transformations which is isomorphic to an extended affine Weyl group of type $(A_{2n+1}+A_1+A_1)^{(1)}$ with the aid of mutations and permutations of vertices to a mutation-periodic quiver on a torus. This group provides a class of higher order generalizations of Jimbo-Sakai's $q$-Painlevé VI equation as translations on a root lattice. Then the known three systems are obtained again; the $q$-Garnier system, a similarity reduction of the lattice $q$-UC hierarchy and a similarity reduction of the $q$-Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy.
We conisder time-dependent Schrödinger systems, which are quantizations of the Hamiltonian systems obtained from a similarity reduction of the Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy by K. Fuji and T. Suzuki, and a similarity reduction of the UC hierarchy by T.Tsuda, independently. These Hamiltonian systems describe isomonodromic deformations for certain Fuchsian systems. Thus, our Schrödinger systems can be regarded as quantum isomonodromic systems. Y. Yamada conjectured that our quantum isomonodromic systems determine instanton partition functions in N=2 SU(L) gauge theory. The main purpose of this paper…
Drinfeld zastava is a certain closure of the moduli space of maps from the projective line to the Kashiwara flag scheme of an affine Lie algebra $\hat g$. In case $g$ is the symplectic Lie algebra $sp_N$, we introduce an affine, reduced, irreducible, normal quiver variety $Z$ which maps to the zastava space isomorphically in characteristic 0. The natural Poisson structure on the zastava space $Z$ can be described in terms of Hamiltonian reduction of a certain Poisson subvariety of the dual space of a (nonsemisimple) Lie algebra. The quantum Hamiltonian reduction of the corresponding quotient o…
Drinfeld Zastava is a certain closure of the moduli space of maps from the projective line to the Kashiwara flag scheme of the affine Lie algebra $\hat{sl}_n$. We introduce an affine, reduced, irreducible, normal quiver variety $Z$ which maps to the Zastava space bijectively at the level of complex points. The natural Poisson structure on the Zastava space can be described on $Z$ in terms of Hamiltonian reduction of a certain Poisson subvariety of the dual space of a (nonsemisimple) Lie algebra. The quantum Hamiltonian reduction of the corresponding quotient of its universal enveloping algebra…
