Product-type non-commutative polynomial states

In math/0702157, arXiv:0712.4185, we investigated monic multivariate non-commutative orthogonal polynomials, their recursions, states of orthogonality, and corresponding continued fraction expansions. Multi-indexed p-orthogonal sums in non-commutative Lebesgue spaces

In this paper we extend a recent Pisier's inequality for p-orthogonal sums in non-commutative Lebesgue spaces. To that purpose, we generalize the notion of p-orthogonality to the class of multi-indexed families of operators. This kind of families appear naturally in certain non-commutative Khintchine type inequalities associated with free groups. Other p-orthogonal families are given by the homogeneous operator-valued polynomials in the Rademacher variables or the multi-indexed martingale difference sequences. As in Pisier's result, our tools are mainly combinatorial.

Orthogonal Polynomials and Lattice Path Interpretation for Higher-order Euler Polynomials

We study the higher-order Euler polynomials and give the corresponding monic orthogonal polynomials, which are Meixner-Pollaczek polynomials with certain arguments and constant factors. Moreover, through a general connection between moments of random variables and the generalized Motzkin numbers, we can obtain a new recurrence formula and a matrix representation for the higher-order Euler polynomials, interpreting them as weighted lattice paths.

The non-commutative $A$-polynomial of twist knots

The purpose of the paper is two-fold: to introduce a multivariable creative telescoping method, and to apply it in a problem of Quantum Topology: namely the computation of the non-commutative $A$-polynomial of twist knots. Our multivariable creative telescoping method allows us to compute linear recursions for sums of the form $J(n)=\sum_k c(n,k) \hatJ (k)$ given a recursion relation for $(\hatJ(n))$ a the hypergeometric kernel $c(n,k)$. Mutually Orthogonal Latin Squares based on Cellular Automata

We investigate sets of Mutually Orthogonal Latin Squares (MOLS) generated by Cellular Automata (CA) over finite fields. After introducing how a CA defined by a bipermutive local rule of diameter $d$ over an alphabet of $q$ elements generates a Latin square of order $q^{d-1}$, we study the conditions under which two CA generate a pair of orthogonal Latin squares.
