The Littelmann path moel gives a realization of the crystals of integrable representations of symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebras. Recent work of Gaussent-Littelmann and others has demonstrated a connection between this model and the geometry of the loop Grassmannian. In their study of the equivariant K-theory of the generalized flag varieties $G/P$, where $G$ is a complex semisimple Lie group, and $P$ is a parabolic subgroup of $G$, Lenart and Postnikov introduced a combinatorial tool, called the alcove paths model. It provides a model for the highest weight crystals with dominant integral highest weights, generalizing the model by semistandard Young tableaux. In this paper, we prove a simple and explicit formula describing the crystal isomorphism between the alcove paths model and the Gelfand-Tsetlin patterns model for type $A$.
We continue the study, begun in [Kouno-Naito-Orr-Sagaki, 2021], of inverse Chevalley formulas for the equivariant $K$-group of semi-infinite flag manifolds. Using the language of alcove paths, we reformulate and extend our combinatorial inverse Chevalley formula to arbitrary weights in all simply-laced types (conjecturally also for $E_8$).
We use k-Schur functions to get the minimal boundary of the k-bounded partition poset. This permits to describe the central random walks on affine Grassmannian elements of type A and yields a polynomial expression for their drift. We also recover Rietsch's parametriza-tion of totally nonnegative unitriangular Toeplitz matrices without using quantum cohomology of flag varieties. We give a combinatorial Chevalley formula for an arbitrary weight, in the torus-equivariant K-theory of semi-infinite flag manifolds, which is expressed in terms of the quantum alcove model. We study certain nearby cycles sheaves on an affine flag manifold which arise naturally in the Beilinson-Gaitsgory deformation of the affine flag manifold to the affine Grassmannian. We study the multiplicity functions we introduced in an earlier paper, which encode the data of the Jordan-Hoelder series. We prove the multiplicity functions are polynomials in q, and we give a sharp bound for their degrees. Our results apply as well to the nearby cycles in the p-adic deformation of Laumon-Haines-Ngo, and also to Wakimoto sheaves.
We study the Jordan-Hoelder series for nearby cycles on certain Shimura varieties and Rapoport-Zink local models, and on finite-dimensional pieces of Beilinson's deformation of the affine Grassmannian to the affine flag variety (and their p-adic analogues). We give a formula for the multiplicities of irreducible constituents in terms of certain cohomology groups, and we also provide an algorithm to compute multiplicities, in terms of the affine Hecke algebra.

We present a microlocal criterion for the equivalence of iterated nearby cycles along different flags of subspaces in a higher-dimensional base. The result is motivated by its application to Hitchin systems in the context of Betti geometric Langlands. I thank Claude Sabbah for bringing papers of Maisonobe and Kocherperger to my attention. We give a new geometric construction of the big projective module in the principal block of the BGG category $\mathscr{O}$, or rather the corresponding $\mathscr{D}$-module on the flag variety. Namely, given a one-parameter family of nondegenerate additive characters of the unipotent radical of a Borel subgroup which degenerate to the trivial character, there is a corresponding one-parameter family of Whittaker sheaves. In this article we study the perverse sheaf on Drinfeld's compactification obtained by applying the geometric Jacquet functor (alias nearby cycles) to a nondegenerate Whittaker sheaf. Namely, we describe its restrictions along the defect stratification in terms of the Langlands dual Lie algebra, in particular showing that this nearby cycles sheaf is tilting.
