The X-ray transform on a compact symmetric space M is here inverted by means of an explicit inversion formula. The proof uses the conjugacy of the minimal closed geodesics in M and of the maximally curved totally geodesic spheres in M, proved in Math. Ann. 165 (1966), 309--317.

Inversion of an integral transform and ladder representations of U(1,q)

An integral transform for G=U(1,q) is studied. The transform maps the positive spin ladder representations of G on a Bargmann-Segal-Fock space F_n^1,q into a space of polynomial-valued functions on the bounded realization B^q of G/K. An inversion is given for the transform and unitary structures are given for the geometric realization of the positive spin ladder representations over G/K.

Unitarization and Inversion Formulae for the Radon Transform between Dual Pairs

We consider the Radon transform associated to dual pairs $(X,Ξ)$ in the sense of Helgason, with $X=G/K$ and $Ξ=G/H$, where $G=\mathbb{R}^d\rtimes K$, $K$ is a closed subgroup of ${\rm GL}(d,\mathbb{R})$ and $H$ is a closed subgroup of $G$. Under some technical assumptions, we prove that if the quasi regular representations of $G$ acting on $L^2(X)$ and $L^2(Ξ)$ are irreducible, then the Radon transform admits a unitarization intertwining the two representations. Inversion of Rankin-Cohen operators via Holographic Transform

The analysis of branching problems for restriction of representations brings the concept of symmetry breaking transform and holographic transform. Symmetry breaking operators decrease the number of variables in geometric models, whereas holographic operators increase it.
