The set of all idempotent probability measures (Maslov measures) on a compact Hausdorff space endowed with the weak* topology determines is functorial on the category $\comp$ of compact Hausdorff spaces. We prove that the obtained functor is normal in the sense of E. Shchepin. Also, this functor is the functorial part of a monad on $\comp$. We prove that the idempotent probability measure monad contains the hyperspace monad as its submonad. A counterpart of the notion of Milyutin map is defined for the idempotent probability measures. Using the fact of existence of Milyutin maps we prove that the functor of idempotent probability measures preserves the class of open surjective maps. Unlikely to the case of probability measures, the correspondence assigning to every pair of idempotent probability measures on the factors the set of measures on the product with these marginals, is not open.
In this paper we construct a metric on the space of idempotent probability measures on the given compactum, which is an idempotent analog of the Kantorovich metric on the space of probability measures.
In this paper we establish that the functor of idempotent probability measures acting in the category of compacta and their continuous mappings is perfect metrizable.
In the present paper we show that the functor of idempotent probability measures satisfies all of conditions with an additional claim of uniform metrizability of functors.
In this paper we introduce a metrics on the space of idempotent probability measures on a given compactum, which extends the metrics on the compactum. It is proven the introduced metrics generates the pointwise convergence topology on the space of idempotent probability measures
We establish some geometrical properties of the space of idempotent probability measures. In particular, for a compact $X$ it is established that if the space $I_{3}(X)\backslash X$ is hereditary normally, then $X$ is metrizable; some subsets allocate of the space of idempotent probability measures which are, respectively, $Z$-sets, $\max$-$\mbox{plus}$-convex subsets, $G_δ$-sets.
In this paper we establish that the functor of idempotent probability measures acting in the category of compacta and their continous mappings is perfect metrisable
In the work it is shown that the space of idempotent probability measures with compact supports is kappa-metrizable if the given Tychonoff space is kappa-metrizable. It is constructed a series of max-plus-convex subfunctors of the functor of idempotent probability measures with compact supports. Further, it is established that the functor of idempotent probability measures with the compact supports preserves openness of continuous maps.
In the paper we proved that for a compact $X$ inclusion $I_{f}(X)\in ANR$ holds if and only if $X\in ANR$. Further, it is shown that the functor $I_{f}$ preserves property of a compact to be $Q$-manyfold or a Hilbert cube, preserves property of map layers to be $ANR$-compact, compact $Q$-manyfold and a Hilbert cube (the finite sum of Hilbert cubes)
We prove that the idempotent Markov operator generated by contractive max plus normalized iterated function system (IFS) is also a contractive map w.r.t. natural metrics on the space of idempotent measures. This gives alternative proofs of the existence of invariant idempotent measures for such IFSs.
The recent extensions of domain theory have proved particularly efficient to study lattice-valued maxitive measures, when the target lattice is continuous. Maxitive measures are defined analogously to classical measures with the supremum operation in place of the addition. Building further on the links between domain theory and idempotent analysis highlighted by Lawson (2004), we investigate the concept of domain-valued linear forms on an idempotent (semi)module. In addition to proving representation theorems for continuous linear forms, we address two applications: the idempotent Radon--Nikod…
We provide a new approach to the Hutchinson-Barnsley theory for idempotent measures first presented in N. Mazurenko, M. Zarichnyi, Invariant idempotent measures, Carpathian Math. Publ., 10 (2018), 1, 172--178. The main feature developed here is a metrization of the space of idempotent measures using the embedding of the space of idempotent measures to the space of fuzzy sets. The metric obtained induces a topology stronger than the canonical pointwise convergence topology. A key result is the existence of a bijection between idempotent measures and fuzzy sets and a conjugation between the Mark…
Idempotent analogues of convexity are introduced. It is proved that the category of algebras for the capacity monad in the category of compacta is isomorphic to the category of $(\max,\min)$-idempotent biconvex compacta and their biaffine maps. It is also shown that the category of algebras for the monad of sup-measures ($(\max,\min)$-idempotent measures) is isomorphic to the category of $(\max,\min)$-idempotent convex compacta and their affine maps.
The notion of max-min measure is a counterpart of the notion of max-plus measure (Maslov measure or idempotent measure). In this paper we consider the spaces of max-min measures on the compact Hausdorff spaces. It is proved that the obtained functor of max-min measures is isomorphic to the functor of max-plus (idempotent) measures considered by the second-named author. However, it turns out that the monads generated by these functors are not isomorphic.

The ultrametrization of the set of all probability measures of compact support on the ultrametric spaces was first defined by Hartog and de Vink. In this paper we consider a similar construction for the so called max-min measures on the ultrametric spaces. In particular, we prove that the functors max-min measures and idempotent measures are isomorphic. However, we show that this is not the case for the monads generated by these functors.
Under Jensen's diamond principle $\diamondsuit$, we construct a simple Efimov space $K$ whose space of nonatomic probability measures $P_{na}(K)$ is first-countable and sequentially compact. These two properties of $P_{na}(K)$ imply that the space of probability measures $P(K)$ on $K$ is selectively sequentially pseudocompact and the Banach space $C(K)$ of continuous functions on $K$ has the Gelfand-Phillips property. We show also that any sequence of probability measures on $K$ that converges to an atomic measure converges in norm, and any sequence of probability measures on $K$ converging to…
We introduce a fuzzy metric on the set of probability measures on a fuzzy metric space. The construction is an analogue, in the realm of fuzzy metric spaces, of the Prokhorov metric on the set of probability measures on compact metric spaces.
We show that every homeomorphism between closed measure zero subsets extends to a measure preserving auto-homeomorphism, whenever the Cantor set is endowed with a suitable probability measure. This is valid both for the standard product measure, as well as for the universal homogeneous rational measure.
In this paper we describe a theory of a cumulative distribution function on a space with an order from a probability measure defined in this space. This distribution function plays a similar role to that played in the classical case. Moreover, we define its pseudo-inverse and study its properties. Those properties will allow us to generate samples of a distribution and give us the chance to calculate integrals with respect to the related probability measure.
For a Tychonoff space $X$, the constructions $\hat P(X)$ and $P_τ(X)$ of the spaces of probability Radon measures and probability $τ$-smooth measures on $X$ are considered. It is proved that these constructions determine functors in the category of Tychonoff spaces, which extend the functor $P$ of probability measures in the category of compacta. In this part we investigate general topological properties of the spaces $\hat P(X)$ and $P_τ(X)$, as well as categorial properties of the functors $\hat P$ and $P_τ$.
