We classify the simplest rational elements in a twisted loop group, and prove that dressing actions of them on proper indefinite affine spheres give the classical Tzitzéica transformation and its dual. We also give the group point of view of the Permutability Theorem, construct complex Tzitzéica transformations, and discuss the group structure for these transformations.

Dressing transformations of constrained Willmore surfaces

We use the dressing method to construct transformations of constrained Willmore surfaces in arbitrary codimension. An adaptation of the Terng--Uhlenbeck theory of dressing by simple factors to this context leads us to define Bäcklund transforms of these surfaces for which we prove Bianchi permutability. Specialising to codimension 2, we generalise the Darboux transforms of Willmore surfaces via Riccati equations, due to Burstall-Ferus-Leschke-Pedit-Pinkall, to the constrained Willmore case and show that they amount to our Bäcklund transforms with real spectral parameter.

Darboux transforms and simple factor dressing of constant mean curvature surfaces

We define a transformation on harmonic maps from a Riemann surface into the 2-sphere which depends on a complex parameter, the so-called mu-Darboux transformation. In the case when the harmonic map N is the Gauss map of a constant mean curvature surface f and the parameter is real, the mu-Darboux transformation of -N is the Gauss map of a classical Darboux transform f. Transformations of flat Lagrangian immersions and Egoroff nets

We associate a natural $λ$-family ($λ\in \R \setminus \{0\} $) of flat Lagrangian immersions in $\C^n$ with non-degenerate normal bundle to any given one. We prove that the structure equations for such immersions admit the same Lax pair as the first order integrable system associated to the symmetric space $\frac{\U(n) \ltimes \C^n}{\OO(n) \ltimes \R^n}$. An interesting observation is that the family degenerates to an Egoroff net on $\R^n$ when $λ\to 0$. Isothermic surfaces: conformal geometry, Clifford algebras and integrable systems

We give an account of the classical and integrable geometry of isothermic surfaces in arbitrary co-dimension. We show that the classical transformation theory of Darboux, Bianchi and Calapso goes through unchanged in arbitrary co-dimension as does the connection with the "curved flats" of Ferus and Pedit. Moreover, we identify Darboux transformations with the dressing action of "simple factors" in the sense of Terng and Uhlenbeck. In so doing, we advertise the use of Vahlen's Clifford algebra matrices as an efficient computational tool in conformal geometry.
