A Class of Irreducible Modules for the Extended Affine Lie Algebra $\widetilde{\frak{gl}_l({\mathbb{C}_q})}$

We construct a class of modules for extended affine Lie algebra $\widetilde{\frak{gl}_l({\bc_q})}$ by using the free fields. A necessary and sufficient condition is given for those modules being irreducible.

Hermitian representations of the extended affine Lie algebra $\widetilde{\frak{gl}_{2}(\bc_q)}$

We use the idea of free fields to obtain highest weight representations for the extended affine Lie algebra $\widetilde{\frak{gl}_{2}(\bc_q)}$ coordinatized by the quantum torus $\bc_q$ and go on to construct a contravariant hermitian form. We further give a necessary and sufficient condition such that the contravariant hermitian form is positive definite.

Quantizations of the extended affine Lie algebra $\widetilde{\frak{sl}_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}$

The extended affine Lie algebra $\widetilde{\frak{sl}_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}$ is quantized from three different points of view in this paper, which produces three noncommutative and noncocommutative Hopf algebra structures, and yield other three quantizations by an isomorphism of $\widetilde{\frak{sl}_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}$ correspondingly. Moreover, two of these quantizations can be restricted to the extended affine Lie algebra ${sl_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}$.

Trigonometric Lie algebras, affine Lie algebras, and vertex algebras

In this paper, we explore natural connections among trigonometric Lie algebras, (general) affine Lie algebras, and vertex algebras. Among the main results, we obtain a realization of trigonometric Lie algebras as what were called the covariant algebras of the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathcal{A}}$ of Lie algebra $\mathcal{A}=\frak{gl}_{\infty}\oplus\frak{gl}_{\infty}$ with respect to certain automorphism groups. The classical algebra $Λ$ of symmetric functions has a remarkable deformation $Λ^*$, which we call the algebra of shifted symmetric functions. In the latter algebra, there is a distinguished basis formed by shifted Schur functions $s^*_μ$, where $μ$ ranges over the set of all partitions. We introduce the notion of `bar category' by which we mean a monoidal category equipped with additional structure formalising the notion of complex conjugation.
