Let $G$ be a finitely generated Kleinian group and let $Δ$ be an invariant collection of components in its region of discontinuity. The Teichmüller space $T(Δ,G)$ supported in $Δ$, is the space of equivalence classes of quasiconformal homeomorphisms with complex dilatation invariant under $G$ and supported in $Δ$. In this paper we propose a partial closure of $T(Δ,G)$ by considering certain deformations of the above homeomorphisms. Such a partial closure is denoted by $NT(Δ,G)$ and called the {\it noded Teichmüller space} of $G$ supported in $Δ$. Some concrete examples are discussed.

Teichmueller space via Kuranishi families

We construct Teichmueller space by patching together Kuranishi families. We also discuss the basic properties of Teichmueller space, and in particular show that our construction leads to simplifications in the proof of Teichmueller's theorem asserting that the genus g Teichmueller space is homeomorphic to a (6g-6)-dimensional ball.

Fiber Structure and Local Coordinates for the Teichmueller Space of a Bordered Riemann Surface

We show that the infinite-dimensional Teichmueller space of a Riemann surface whose boundary consists of n closed curves is a holomorphic fiber space over the Teichmueller space of n-punctured surfaces. Each fiber is a complex Banach manifold modeled on a two-dimensional extension of the universal Teichmueller space. The local model of the fiber, together with the coordinates from internal Schiffer variation, provides new holomorphic local coordinates for the infinite-dimensional Teichmueller space.

A Hilbert manifold structure on the refined Teichmueller space of bordered Riemann surfaces

We consider bordered Riemann surfaces which are biholomorphic to compact Riemann surfaces of genus g with n regions biholomorphic to the disc removed. We define a refined Teichmueller space of such Riemann surfaces and demonstrate that in the case that 2g+2-n>0, this refined Teichmueller space is a Hilbert manifold. Quasisymmetric sewing in rigged Teichmueller space

One of the basic geometric objects in conformal field theory (CFT) is the the moduli space of Riemann surfaces whose $n$ boundaries are ''rigged'' with analytic parametrizations. The fundamental operation is the sewing of such surfaces using the parametrizations to identify points. Decay of Correlations for the Rauzy-Veech-Zorich Induction Map on the Space of Interval Exchange Transformations and the Central Limit Theorem for the Teichmueller Flow on the Moduli Space of Abelian Differentials

A stretched-exponential bound is obtained for the decay of correlations of the Rauzy-Veech-Zorich induction map on the space of interval exchange transformations. A Corollary is the Central Limit Theorem for the Teichmueller flow on the moduli space of abelian differentials. The proof involves an approximation of the induction map by a Markov chain satisfying the Doeblin condition, the method of Sinai and Bunimovich--Sinai. The main estimate is Lemma 4. Comparison moduli spaces of Riemann surfaces

We define a kind of moduli space of nested surfaces and mappings, which we call a comparison moduli space. We review examples of such spaces in geometric function theory and modern Teichmueller theory, and illustrate how a wide range of phenomena in complex analysis are captured by this notion of moduli space. The paper includes a list of open problems in classical and modern function theory and Teichmueller theory ranging from general theoretical questions to specific technical problems.

The semigroup of rigged annuli and the Teichmueller space of the annulus

Neretin and Segal independently defined a semigroup of annuli with boundary parametrizations, which is viewed as a complexification of the group of diffeomorphisms of the circle. By extending the parametrizations to quasisymmetries, we show that this semigroup is a quotient of the Teichmueller space of doubly-connected Riemann surfaces by a Z action. Furthermore, the semigroup can be given a complex structure in two distinct, natural ways.
