We present several equivalent conditions for $C^*$-finitely correlated states defined on the UHF algebras to be factor states and consider the types of factors generated by them. Subfactors generated by generalized quantum Markov chains defined on the gauge-invariant parts of the UHF algebras are also discussed.

Finitely Correlated Representations of Product Systems of $C^*$-Correspondences over $\mathbb{N}^k$

We study isometric representations of product systems of correspondences over the semigroup $\mathbb{N}^k$ which are minimal dilations of finite dimensional, fully coisometric representations. We show the existence of a unique minimal cyclic coinvariant subspace for all such representations. The compression of the representation to this subspace is shown to be complete unitary invariant. Spectral triples for finitely generated groups, index 0

Using Cayley graphs and Clifford algebras, we are able to give, for every finitely generated groups, a uniform construction of spectral triples with a generically non-trivial phase for the Dirac operator. Unfortunatly $D_{+}$ is index $0$, but we are naturally led to an interesting classification of finitely generated groups into three types.

Certain actions of finitely generated groups on higher dimensional noncommutative tori

We study certain actions of finitely generated abelian groups on higher dimensional noncommutative tori. Given a dimension $d$ and a finitely generated abelian group $G$, we apply a certain function to detect whether there is a simple noncommutative $d$-torus which admits a specific action by $G$. We also describe the condition of $G$ under which the associated crossed product is an AF algebra.

An essential representation for a product system over a finitely generated subsemigroup of $\mathbb{Z}^{d}$

Let $S \subset \mathbb{Z}^{d}$ be a finitely generated subsemigroup. Let $E$ be a product system over $S$. We show that there exists an infinite dimensional separable Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ and a semigroup $α:=\{α_x\}_{x \in S}$ of unital normal $*$-endomorphisms of $B(\mathcal{H})$ such that $E$ is isomorphic to the product system associated to $α$.

Every finitely generated group is weakly exact

We show that every finitely generated group admits weak analogues of an invariant expectation, whose existence characterizes exact groups. This fact has a number of applications. We show that Hopf $G$-modules are relatively injective, which implies that bounded cohomology groups with coefficients in all Hopf $G$-modules vanish in all positive degrees. We also prove a general fixed point theorem for actions of finitely generated groups on $\ell_{\infty}$-type spaces. Finally, we define the notion of weak exactness for certain Banach algebras.

Finitely-Generated Projective Modules over the Theta-deformed 4-sphere

We investigate the "theta-deformed spheres" C(S^{3}_{theta}) and C(S^{4}_{theta}), where theta is any real number. We show that all finitely-generated projective modules over C(S^{3}_{theta}) are free, and that C(S^{4}_{theta}) has the cancellation property. We classify and construct all finitely-generated projective modules over C(S^{4}_θ) up to isomorphism. An interesting feature is that if theta is irrational then there are nontrivial "rank-1" modules over C(S^{4}_θ).
