We present here some results of applying the Cayley-Dickson process to certain alternative algebras (notably built upon Galois fields and congruence rings), in a manner which might yield new building blocks for cryptographic systems. We focus on enumeration properties rather than the classification and comparison questions which are extensively studied elsewhere, at least for algebras over fields. The results presented here are technical but not inherently difficult.

Leavitt path algebras of Cayley graphs arising from cyclic groups

For any positive integer $n$ we describe the Leavitt path algebra of the Cayley graph $C_n$ corresponding to the cyclic group $\Z/n\Z$. Using a Kirchberg-Phillips-type realization result, we show that there are exactly four isomorphism classes of such Leavitt path algebras, arising as the algebras corresponding to the graphs $C_i$ ($3\leq i \leq 6$).

The Leavitt path algebras of generalized Cayley graphs

Let $n$ be a positive integer. For each $0\leq j \leq n-1$ we let $C_n^{j}$ denote Cayley graph for the cyclic group ${\mathbb Z}_n $ with respect to the subset $\{1, j\}$. For any such pair $(n,j)$ we compute the size of the Grothendieck group of the Leavitt path algebra $L_K(C_n^j)$; the analysis is related to a collection of integer sequences described by Haselgrove in the 1940's. Cayley Polynomials

We consider a polynomial version of the Cayley numbers. Namely, we define the ring of Cayley polynomials in terms of generators and relations in the category of alternative algebras. The ring turns out to be an octonion algebra over an ordinary polynomial ring. Also, a localization (a ring of quotients) of the ring of Cayley polynomials gives another description of an octonion torus. Finally, we find a subalgebra of a prime nondegenerate alternative algebra so that the subalgebra is an octonion algebra over the center.

Leavitt path algebras of weighted Cayley graphs $C_n(S,w)$

For a postive integer $n$ and a subset $S$ of $\mathbb{Z}_n$, let $\left\langle S\right\rangle =\mathbb{Z}_n$, and $w:S\rightarrow\mathbb{N}$ be a function. The weighted Cayley graph of the cyclic group $\mathbb{Z}_n$ with respect to $S$ and $w$ is denoted by $C_n(S,w)$. We give an explicit description of the Grothendieck group of the Leavitt path algebras of $C_n(S,w)$. We also give description of Leavitt path algebras of $C_n(S,w)$ in some special cases.

The two-sided Laplace transformation over the Cayley-Dickson algebras and its applications

This article is devoted to the noncommutative version of the Laplace transformation. New types of the direct and inverse transformations of the Laplace type over general Cayley-Dickson algebras, in particular, also the skew field of quaternions and the octonion algebra are investigated. Leavitt path algebras of Cayley graphs $C_n^j$

Let $n$ be a positive integer. For each $0\leq j \leq n-1$ we let $C_n^j$ denote the Cayley graph of the cyclic group $\mathbb{Z}_n$ with respect to the subset $\{1,j\}$.
