The generalized Markov measure as an equilibrium state

In this paper, we continue development of the theory of contractive Markov systems (CMS) initiated in \cite{Wer1}. Also, this work can be seen as a small contribution to the theory of equilibrium states. We construct an energy function on the code space, using the coding map from \cite{Wer3}, and show that the generalized Markov measure associated with an irreducible CMS is a unique equilibrium state for this energy function if the vertex sets form an open partition of the state space of the CMS and the restrictions of the probability functions on their vertex sets are Dini-continuous and bounded away from zero.

Equilibrium states and zero temperature limit on topologically transitive countable Markov shifts

Consider a topologically transitive countable Markov shift and, let $f$ be a summable potential with bounded variation and finite Gurevic pressure. Exchangeable, Gibbs and equilibrium measures for Markov subshifts

We study a class of strongly irreducible, multidimensional, topological Markov shifts, comparing two notions of "symmetric measure": exchangeability and the Gibbs (or conformal) property. We show that equilibrium measures for such shifts (unique and weak Bernoulli in the one dimensional case) exhibit a variety of spectral properties.

Bernoullicity of equilibrium measures on countable Markov shifts

We study the equilibrium behaviour of a two-sided topological Markov shift with a countable number of states. We assume the potential associated with this shift is Walters with finite first variation and that the shift is topologically transitive. On the rate of convergence to equilibrium for countable ergodic Markov chains

Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy of a generalized Markov shift

In this paper we calculate Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy $h_M(S)$ of the generalized Markov shift associated with a contractive Markov system (CMS) \cite{Wer1} using the coding map constructed in \cite{Wer3}. A 1/n Nash equilibrium for non-linear Markov games of mean-field-type on finite state space

Generalized Markov-Bernstein inequalities and stability of dynamical systems

The Markov-Bernstein type inequalities between the norms of functions and of their derivatives are analysed for complex exponential polynomials. We establish a relation between the sharp constants in those inequalities and the stability problem for linear switching systems. In particular, the maximal discretization step is estimated.
