We consider scattering by short range perturbations of the semi-classical Laplacian. We prove that when a polynomial bound on the resolvent holds, the scattering amplitude is a semi-classical Fourier integral operator associated to the scattering relation. Compared to previous work, we allow the scattering relation to have more general structure.

Stability of the determination of the surface impedance of an obstacle from the scattering amplitude

We prove a stability estimate of logarithmic type for the inverse problem consisting in the determination of the surface impedance of an obstacle from the scattering amplitude. We present a simple and direct proof which is essentially based on an elliptic Carleman inequality.

Structure of the Semi-Classical Amplitude for General Scattering Relations

We consider scattering by general compactly supported semi-classical perturbations of the Euclidean Laplace-Beltrami operator. We show that if the suitably cut-off resolvent of the Hamiltonian quantizes a Lagrangian relation on the product cotangent bundle, the scattering amplitude quantizes the natural scattering relation. Increasing stability for near field from the scattering amplitude

We obtain stability estimates (with explicit constants) for the near field from the far field of a radiating solution of the Helmholtz equation. These estimates are based on new bounds for Hankel functions and quantify increasing stability when the wave number grows.

Semiclassical scattering amplitude at the maximum point of the potential

We compute the scattering amplitude for Schrödinger operators at a critical energy level, corresponding to the maximum point of the potential. We follow the wrok of Robert and Tamura, '89, using Isozaki and Kitada's representation formula for the scattering amplitude, together with results from Bony, Fujiie, Ramond and Zerzeri '06 in order to analyze the contribution of trapped trajectories.

3D Schrödinger equation: scattering operator, scattering amplitude and ergodic property

Stationary scattering problem (when the distance $r$ tends to infinity) and dynamical scattering problem (when the time $t$ tends to infinity) are considered for the 3D Schrödinger equation. A simple interconnection between the scattering amplitude (stationary case) and scattering operator (dynamical case) is given in the paper. This result is a quantum mechanical analog of the ergodic formulas in the classical mechanics.

Lippmann-Schwinger equation and the connection between the scattering operator and the scattering amplitude in the relativistic case

In this paper, we consider two types of the scattering problems (relativistic case), namely, the stationary scattering problem, where the distance $r$ tends to infinity, and the dynamical scattering problem, where the time $t$ tends to infinity. Using our results on Lippmann-Schwinger equation in the relativistic case, we found the connection between the stationary scattering problem (the scattering amplitude) and the dynamical scattering problem (the scattering operator). This result is the quantum mechanical analog of the ergodic formulas in the classical mechanics.
