In this paper we investigate the class of invariant positive definite kernels on the free semigroup on N generators. We provide a combinatorial description of the positivity of the kernel in terms of Dyck paths and then we find a displacement equation that encodes the invariance property of the kernel.

Tensor algebras, displacement structure, and the Schur algorithm

In this paper we explore the connection between tensor algebras and displacement structure. We describe a scattering experiment in this framework, we obtain a realization of the elements of the tensor algebra as transfer maps of a certain class of nonstationary linear systems, and we describe a Schur algorithm for the Schur elements of the tensor algebra.

Tensor algebras and displacement structure. II. Noncommutative Szego polynomials

In this paper we continue to explore the connection between tensor algebras and displacement structure. We focus on recursive orthonormalization and we develop an analogue of the Szego type theory of orthogonal polynomials in the unit circle for several noncommuting variables. Thus, we obtain the recurrence equations and Christoffel-Darboux type formulas, as well as a Favard type result. Also we continue to study a Szego kernel for the N-dimnesional unit ball of an infinite dimensional Hilbert space.

Generalized support vector regression: duality and tensor-kernel representation

In this paper we study the variational problem associated to support vector regression in Banach function spaces. Using the Fenchel-Rockafellar duality theory, we give explicit formulation of the dual problem as well as of the related optimality conditions. Countable Tensor Products of Hermite Spaces and Spaces of Gaussian Kernels

In recent years finite tensor products of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces (RKHSs) of Gaussian kernels on the one hand and of Hermite spaces on the other hand have been considered in tractability analysis of multivariate problems. In the present paper we study countably infinite tensor products for both types of spaces. Tensor tomography in periodic slabs

The X-ray transform on the periodic slab $[0,1]\times\mathbb T^n$, $n\geq0$, has a non-trivial kernel due to the symmetry of the manifold and presence of trapped geodesics. For tensor fields gauge freedom increases the kernel further, and the X-ray transform is not solenoidally injective unless $n=0$. We characterize the kernel of the geodesic X-ray transform for $L^2$-regular $m$-tensors for any $m\geq0$. The characterization extends to more general manifolds, twisted slabs, including the Möbius strip as the simplest example.

On kernel theorems for (LF)-spaces

A convenient technique for proving kernel theorems for (LF)-spaces (countable inductive limits of Frechet spaces)is developed. The proposed approach is based on introducing a suitable modification of the functor of the completed inductive topological tensor product. Using such modified tensor products makes it possible to prove kernel theorems without assuming the completeness of the considered (LF)-spaces. The general construction is applied to proving kernel theorems for a class of spaces of entire analytic functions arising in nonlocal quantum field theory.

A convenient technique for calculating completed topological tensor products of functional Frechet or DF spaces is developed. The general construction is applied to proving kernel theorems for a wide class of spaces of smooth and entire analytic functions.
