We study whether the basin of attraction of a sequence of automorphisms of $\mathbb{C}^k$ is biholomorphic to $\mathbb{C}^k$. In particular we show that given any sequence of automorphisms with the same attracting fixed point, the basin is biholomorphic to $\mathbb{C}^k$ if the maps are repeated often enough. We also construct Fatou-Bieberbach domains whose boundaries are 4-dimensional.

Let F be an automorphism of C^k which has a fixed point. It is well known that the basin of attraction is biholomorphically equivalent to C^k. We will show that the basin of attraction of a sequence of automorphisms is also biholomorphic to C^k if all the automorphisms are small perturbations of the original map F.

We study basins of attraction of automorphisms of $\CC^2$ tangent to the identity that fix both axes. Our main result is that, if a well known conjecture about automorphisms of $\CC^*\times\CC^*$ holds, then there are no basins of attraction associated to the non-degenerate characteristic directions (in the sense of Hakim), and therefore we cannot find a Fatou-Bieberbach domain that does not intersect both axis with this method.

We characterize two of the most studied non-uniform hyperbolicity conditions for rational maps, semi-hyperbolicity and the topological Collet-Eckmann condition, in terms of the maximal entropy measure. Using the same tools in the proof of these results we give an extension of a result of Carleson, Jones and Yoccoz, that semi-hyperbolicity characterizes those polynomial maps whose basin of attraction of infinity is a John domain, to rational maps having a completely invariant attracting basin.
