Lin and Sjamaar have used symplectic Hodge theory to obtain canonical equivariant extensions for Hamiltonian actions on closed symplectic manifolds that have the strong Lefschetz property. Here we obtain canonical equivariant extensions much more generally by means of classical Hodge theory.

Quasi-Hodge Metrics and Canonical Singularities

We study one parameter degenerations of complex projective manifolds by introducing certain type of Hodge metrics coming from the pluricanonical forms. We show that degenerations with at most canonical singularities are all in the finite distance boundary of moduli spaces. We also propose the converse to be true in the sense that finite distance degenerations admit birational models which have at most canonical singularities in the degenerate fiber. We verify this for curves and show that the Calabi-Yau case follows from the minimal model conjecture.

Witten-Hodge theory on manifolds with boundary and equivariant cohomology

We consider a compact, oriented, smooth Riemannian manifold $M$ (with or without boundary) and we suppose $G$ is a torus acting by isometries on $M$. Given $X$ in the Lie algebra and corresponding vector field $X_M$ on $M$, one defines Witten's inhomogeneous coboundary operator $d_{X_M} = d+ι_{X_M}: Ω_G^\pm \toΩ_G^\mp$ (even/odd invariant forms on $M$) and its adjoint $δ_{X_M}$. On the approximation of functions on a Hodge manifold

If f is a smooth function on a Hodge manifold, we construct a canonical sequence of real algebraic functions that converge to f in the smooth topology. The definition of of the approximants is inspired by Berezin-Toeplitz quantization. The proof follows quickly from known results of Fine, Liu and Ma.

Extension formulas and deformation invariance of Hodge numbers

We introduce a canonical isomorphism from the space of pure-type complex differential forms on a compact complex manifold to the one on its infinitesimal deformations. By use of this map, we generalize an extension formula in a recent work of K. Liu, X. Yang and the second author. As a direct corollary of the extension formulas, we prove several deformation invariance theorems for Hodge numbers on some certain classes of complex manifolds, without use of Frölicher inequality or the topological invariance of Betti numbers.

A Hodge theoretic projective structure on Riemann surfaces

Given any compact Riemann surface $C$, there is a canonical meromorphic 2--form $\widehatη$ on $C\times C$, with pole of order two on the diagonal $Δ\, \subset\, C\times C$, constructed in \cite{cfg}. This meromorphic 2--form $\widehatη$ produces a canonical projective structure on $C$.
