The SzegÖ kernel on an orbifold circle bundle

The analysis of holomorphic sections of high powers $L^N$ of holomorphic ample line bundles $L\to M$ over compact Kähler manifolds has been widely applied in complex geometry and mathematical physics. The Tian-Yau-Zelditch's asymptotic expansion of the Szegö kernel of a circle bundle plays an important role in Kähler-Einstein geometry. We generalize the expansion for compact Kähler orbifolds with only finite isolated singularities and analyze the behavior of the expansion near the singularities.

Szegő kernel expansion and equivariant embedding of CR manifolds with circle action

Let $X$ be a compact strongly pseudoconvex CR manifold with a transversal CR $S^1$-action. In this paper, we establish the asymptotic expansion of Szegő kernels of positive Fourier components and by using the asymptotics, we show that $X$ can be equivariant CR embedded into some $\mathbb C^N$ equipped with a simple $S^1$-action. An equivariant embedding of quasi-regular Sasakian manifold is also derived.

Positively curved Riemannian orbifolds and Alexandrov spaces with circle symmetry in dimension 4

We classify positively curved Alexandrov spaces of dimension 4 with an isometric circle action up to equivariant homeomorphism, subject to a certain additional condition on the infinitesimal geometry near fixed points which we conjecture is always satisfied. As a corollary, we also classify positively curved Riemannian orbifolds of dimension 4 with an isometric circle action.

Szego kernel, regular quantizations and spherical CR-structures

We compute the Szego kernel of the unit circle bundle of a negative line bundle dual to a regular quantum line bundle over a compact Kaehler manifold. As a corollary we provide an infinite family of smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domains on complex manifolds (disk bundles over homogeneous Hodge manifolds) for which the log-terms in the Fefferman expansion of the Szego kernel vanish and which are not locally CR-equivalent to the sphere. The log term of Szego Kernel

In this paper, we study the relations between the log term of the Szegö kernel of the unit circle bundle of the dual line bundle of an ample line bundle over a compact Kählermanifold. We proved a local rigidity theorem. The result is related to the classical Ramadanov Conjecture.

Seiberg-Witten invariants, orbifolds, and circle actions

The main result of this paper is a formula for calculating the Seiberg-Witten invariants of 4-manifolds with fixed-point free circle actions. This is done by showing under suitable conditions the existence of a diffeomorphism between the moduli space of the 4-manifold and the moduli space of the quotient 3-orbifold. Two corollaries include b_+>1 4-manifolds with fixed-point free circle actions are simple type and a new proof that the four dimensional invariants of $Y \times S^1$ are equal to the the three dimensional invariants of $Y$. Orbifold fibrations of Eschenburg spaces

We study isometric circle actions on 7 dimensional positively curved Eschenburg spaces which are almost free, thus giving rise to orbifold fibrations of these spaces. This shows in particular that every known example of compact manifolds with positive sectional curvature is the total space of an orbifold fibration. We then study in detail the geometry of the singular locus and how to minimize it. As a consequence we obtain, for example, a six dimensional compact positively curved orbifold with only two singular points with orbifold groups Z_2.

On Geometry and Topology of 4-Orbifolds

We prove an analogue of the result of Hsiang and Kleiner for 4-dimensional compact orbifolds with positive curvature and an isometric circle action. Additionally, we prove that when the underlying space is simply connected, then the orbifold fundamental group provides a bound on the failure of integer-valued Poincare Duality of the underlying space, and if the orbifold is simply connected, then ineteger-valued Poincre Duality holds for the underlying space.

Contact homology of $S^1$-bundles over some symplectically reduced orbifolds

In this paper, we compute contact homology of some quasi-regular contact structures, which admit Hamiltonian actions of Reeb type of Lie groups. We will discuss the toric contact case, (where the torus is of Reeb type), and the case of homogeneous contact manifolds. In both of these cases the quotients by the Reeb action are Kähler and admit perfect Morse-Bott functions via the moment map. Complete non-compact Spin(7) manifolds from self-dual Einstein 4-orbifolds

We present an analytic construction of complete non-compact 8-dimensional Ricci-flat manifolds with holonomy Spin(7). The construction relies on the study of the adiabatic limit of metrics with holonomy Spin(7) on principal Seifert circle bundles over asymptotically conical G2 orbifolds. The metrics we produce have an asymptotic geometry, so-called ALC geometry, that generalises to higher dimensions the geometry of 4-dimensional ALF hyperkähler metrics. Transversely holomorphic flows and contact circles on spherical 3-manifolds

Motivated by the moduli theory of taut contact circles on spherical 3-manifolds, we relate taut contact circles to transversely holomorphic flows. We give an elementary survey of such 1-dimensional foliations from a topological viewpoint. We describe a complex analogue of the classical Godbillon-Vey invariant, the so-called Bott invariant, and a logarithmic monodromy of closed leaves. Symmetry gaps in Riemannian geometry and minimal orbifolds

We study the size of the isometry group Isom(M, g) of Riemannian manifolds (M, g) as g varies. For M not admitting a circle action, we show that the order of Isom(M, g) can be universally bounded in terms of the bounds on Ricci curvature, diameter, and injectivity radius of M. This generalizes results known for negative Ricci curvature to all manifolds.
