The paper studies Hausdorff-Young inequalities for certain group extensions, by use of Mackey's theory. We consider the case in which the dual action of the quotient group is free almost everywhere. This result applies to yield a Hausdorff-Young inequality for nonunimodular groups.
In this paper we prove new inequalities describing the relationship between the "size" of a function on a compact homogeneous manifold and the "size" of its Fourier coefficients. These inequalities can be viewed as noncommutative versions of the Hardy-Littlewood inequalities obtained by Hardy and Littlewood on the circle. For the example case of the group SU(2) we show that the obtained Hardy-Littlewood inequalities are sharp, yielding a criterion for a function to be in $L^p$ on SU(2) in terms of its Fourier coefficients. We also establish Paley and Hausdorff-Young-Paley inequalities on gener…
The classical Hausdorff-Young inequalities for the Fourier transform acting between appropriate $L_p$ spaces are cornerstones of Fourier analysis. Here we extend it to weighted spaces of Besov or Sobolev type where the weight has the form $w(x)=(1+|x|^2)^{α/2}$. This note is not a paper or draft but a sketchy complement to some earlier results where we dealt with mapping properties of the Fourier transform.
We study Hausdorff-Young type inequalities for vector-valued Dirichlet series which allow to compare the norm of a Dirichlet series in the Hardy space $\mathcal{H}_{p} (X)$ with the $q$-norm of its coefficients. In order to obtain inequalities completely analogous to the scalar case, a Banach space must satisfy the restrictive notion of Fourier type/cotype. We show that variants of these inequalities hold for the much broader range of spaces enjoying type/cotype. We also consider Hausdorff-Young type inequalities for functions defined on the infinite torus $\mathbb{T}^{\infty}$ or the boolean …
The aim of this paper is to study the sharp bounds of rough Hausdorff operators on the product of Herz, central Morrey and Morrey-Herz spaces with both power weights and Muckenhoupt weights on the Heisenberg group. Especially, by applying the block decomposition of the Herz space, we obtain the boundedness of rough Hausdorff operator in the case 0 < p < 1. In addition, the boundedness for the commutators of rough Hausdorff operators on such spaces with symbols in weighted central BMO space is also established.
In this paper we study the vector-valued analogues of several inequalities for the Fourier transform. In particular, we consider the inequalities of Hausdorff--Young, Hardy--Littlewood, Paley, Pitt, Bochkarev and Zygmund. The Pitt inequalities include the Hausdorff--Young and Hardy--Littlewood inequalities and state that the Fourier transform is bounded from $L^p(\mathbb{R}^d,|\cdot|^{βp})$ into $L^q(\mathbb{R}^d,|\cdot|^{-γq})$ under certain condition on $p,q,β$ and $γ$. Vector-valued analogues are derived under geometric conditions on the underlying Banach space such as Fourier type and rela…
We obtain several versions of the Hausdorff-Young and Hardy-Littlewood inequalities for the $(k,a)$-generalized Fourier transform recently investigated at length by Ben Saï d, Kobayashi, and Ø rsted. We also obtain a number of weighted inequalities - in particular Pitt's inequality - that have application to uncertainty principles. Specifically we obtain several analogs of the Heisenberg-Pauli-Weyl principle for $L^p$-functions, local Cowling-Price-type inequalities, Donoho-Stark-type inequalities and qualitative extensions. We finally use the Hausdorff-Young inequality as a means to obtain en…
We consider integral inequalities in the sense of Choquet with respect to the Hausdorff content $\mathcal{H}_\infty^δ$. In particular, if $Ω$ is a bounded John domain in $\mathbb{R}^n$, $n\geq 2$, and $0 <δ\le n$, we prove that the corresponding $(δp/(δ-p),p)$-Poincaré-Sobolev inequalities hold for all continuously differentiable functions defined on $Ω$ whenever $δ/n < p < δ$. We prove also that the $(p,p)$-Poincaré inequality is valid for all $p>δ/n$.
In this paper, we considered the problem of finding the upper bound Hausdorff matrix operator from sequence spaces $l_p(v)$ (or $d(v,p)$) into $l_p(w)$ (or $d(w,p)$). Also we considered the upper bound problem for matrix operators from $d(v,1)$ into $d(w,1)$, and matrix operators from $e(w,\infty)$ into $e(v,\infty)$, and deduce upper bound for Cesaro, Copson and Hilbert matrix operators, which are recently considered in \cite{5} and \cite{6} and similar to that in \cite{10}.
This paper deals with the inequalities devoted to the comparison between the norm of a function on a compact hypergroup and the norm of its Fourier coefficients. We prove the classical Paley inequality in the setting of compact hypergroups which further gives the Hardy-Littlewood and Hausdorff-Young-Paley (Pitt) inequalities in the noncommutative context. We establish Hörmander's $L^p$-$L^q$ Fourier multiplier theorem on compact hypergroups for $1<p \leq 2 \leq q<\infty$ as an application of Hausdorff-Young-Paley inequality. We examine our results for the hypergroups constructed from the conju…
We present geometric conditions on a metric space $(Y,d_Y)$ ensuring that almost surely, any isometric action on $Y$ by Gromov's expander-based random group has a common fixed point. These geometric conditions involve uniform convexity and the validity of nonlinear Poincaré inequalities, and they are stable under natural operations such as scaling, Gromov-Hausdorff limits, and Cartesian products. We use methods from metric embedding theory to establish the validity of these conditions for a variety of classes of metric spaces, thus establishing new fixed point results for actions of Gromov's "…
We establish sharp Sobolev embedding properties within a broad class of compact matrix quantum groups of Kac type under the polynomial growth or the rapid decay property of their duals. Main examples are duals of polynomially growing discrete quantum groups, duals of free groups and free quantum groups $O_N^+,S_N^+$. In addition, we generalize sharpend Hausdorff-Young inequalities, compute degrees of the rapid decay property for $\widehat{O_N^+},\widehat{S_N^+}$ and prove sharpness of Hardy-Littlewood inequalities on duals of free groups.
In this paper, we establish some reverses of the operator entropy inequalities under certain conditions by using the Mond-Pečarić method. In particular, we present {\tiny \begin{align*} f&\left[\int_T(A_s\natural_{p+1}B_s)dμ(s)+t_0\left(I_{\mathscr H}-\int_TA_s\natural_pB_sdμ(s)\right)\right]-γ_ff(t_0)\left(I_{\mathscr H}-\int_TA_s\natural_pB_sdμ(s)\right)\nonumber\\ &\le γ_f\widetilde{S}_p^f(\mathbf{A}|\mathbf{B})\,, \end{align*}} where $T$ is a locally compact Hausdorff space and $μ$ is a Radon measure on $T$, $0<m A_s \leq B_s \leq M A_s\,\,(s\in T)$ for some positive real numbers $m, M$ su…
We establish a general operator parallelogram law concerning a characterization of inner product spaces, get an operator extension of Bohr's inequality and present several norm inequalities. More precisely, let ${\mathfrak A}$ be a $C^*$-algebra, $T$ be a locally compact Hausdorff space equipped with a Radon measure $μ$ and let $(A_t)_{t\in T}$ be a continuous field of operators in ${\mathfrak A}$ such that the function $t \mapsto A_t$ is norm continuous on $T$ and the function $t \mapsto \|A_t\|$ is integrable. If $α: T \times T \to \mathbb{C}$ is a measurable function such that $\bar{α(t,s)}…
