We construct certain boson type realizations of affine sl(n+1) that depend on a parameter r. When r=0 we get a Fock space realization of Imaginary Verma modules appearing in the work of the first author and when r=n they are the Wakimoto modules described in the work of Feigin and Frenkel.
We show that our construction of boson type realizations of affine $\mathfrak{sl}(n+1)$ in terms of intermediate Wakimoto modules gives representations that are generically isomorphic to certain Verma type modules. We then use this identification to obtain information about the submodule structure of intermediate Wakimoto modules
We construct new families of positive energy representations of affine vertex algebras together with their free field realizations by using localization technique. We introduce the twisting functor T_αon the category of modules over affine Kac--Moody algebra \widehat{g}_κof level κfor any positive root αof g, and the Wakimoto functor from a certain category of g-modules to the category of smooth \widehat{g}_κ-modules. These two functors commute and the image of the Wakimoto functor consists of relaxed Wakimoto \widehat{g}_κ-modules. In particular, applying the twisting functor T_αto the relaxe…
We develop some basic properties such as $p$-centers of affine vertex algebras and free field vertex algebras in prime characteristic. We show that the Wakimoto-Feigin-Frenkel homomorphism preserves the $p$-centers by providing explicit formulas. This allows us to formulate the notion of baby Wakimoto modules, which in particular provides an interpretation in the context of modular vertex algebras for Mathieu's irreducible character formula of modular affine Lie algebras at the critical level.
For the Kac-Wakimoto hierarchy constructed from the principal vertex operator realization of the basic representation of the affine Lie algebra $D_n^{(1)}$, we compute the coefficients of the corresponding Hirota bilinear equations, and verify the coincidence of these bilinear equations with the ones that are satisfied by Givental's total descendant potential of the $D_n$ singularity, as conjectured by Givental and Milanov in \cite{GM}
By using methods developed in arXiv:math/0602181 we study the irreducibility of certain Wakimoto modules for $\widehat{sl_2}$ at the critical level. We classify all $χ\in {\Bbb C}((z))$ such that the corresponding Wakimoto module $W_χ$ is irreducible. It turns out that zeros of Schur polynomials play important rule in the classification result.
We study certain nearby cycles sheaves on an affine flag manifold which arise naturally in the Beilinson-Gaitsgory deformation of the affine flag manifold to the affine Grassmannian. We study the multiplicity functions we introduced in an earlier paper, which encode the data of the Jordan-Hoelder series. We prove the multiplicity functions are polynomials in q, and we give a sharp bound for their degrees. Our results apply as well to the nearby cycles in the p-adic deformation of Laumon-Haines-Ngo, and also to Wakimoto sheaves.
We study the Wakimoto modules over the affine Kac-Moody algebras at the critical level from the point of view of the equivalences of categories proposed in our previous works, relating categories of representations and certain categories of sheaves. In particular, we describe explicitly geometric realizations of the Wakimoto modules as Hecke eigen-D-modules on the affine Grassmannian and as quasi-coherent sheaves on the flag variety of the Langlands dual group.
We develop a general technique of constructing new irreducible weight modules for any affine Kac-Moody algebra using the parabolic induction, in the case when the Levi factor of a parabolic subalgebra is infinite-dimensional and the central charge is nonzero. Our approach uniforms and generalizes all previously known results with imposed restrictions on inducing modules. We also define generalized Imaginary Wakimoto modules which provide an explicit realization for generic generalized Imaginary Verma modules.
In this paper we construct two free field realizations of the elliptic affine Lie algebra sl(2,R) + Ω_R/dR, where R=C[t,t^{-1},u|u^2=t^3 - 2b t^2 + t]. The first realization gives an analogue of Wakimoto's construction for Affine Kac-Moody algebras, but in the setting of the elliptic affine Lie algebra. The second realization gives new type of representations analogous to Imaginary Verma modules in the Affine setting.
Irreducible nonzero level modules with finite-dimensional weight spaces are studied for non-twisted affine Lie superalgebras. A complete classification is obtained for superalgebras A(m,n)^ and C(n)^. In other cases the classification problem is reduced to the classification of cuspidal modules over finite-dimensional cuspidal Lie superalgebras described by Dimitrov, Mathieu and Penkov. It is also shown that any irreducible weakly integrable (in the sense of Kac and Wakimoto) module is highest weight.
We study some non-highest weight modules over an affine Kac-Moody algebra at non-critical level. Roughly speaking, these modules are non-commutative localizations of some non-highest weight "vacuum" modules. Using free field realization, we embed some rings of differential operators in endomorphism rings of our modules. These rings of differential operators act on a localization of the space of coinvariants of any module over the Kac-Moody algebra with respect to a certain level subalgebra. In a particular case this action is identified with the Casimir connection.
We prove the irreducibility of the universal non-degenerate Whittaker modules for the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{sl_2}$ of type $A_1^{(1)}$ with noncritical level which are also irreducible Whittaker modules over $\widetilde{sl_2} =\widehat{sl_2} + {\Bbb C} d $ with the same Whittaker function and central charge. We have to modulo a central character for ${sl_2}$ to obtain irreducible degenerate Whittaker $\widehat{sl_2} $-modules with noncritical level. In the case of critical level the universal Whittaker module is reducible. We prove that the quotient of universal Whittaker $\widehat{sl_2…
(Affine) $\mathcal{W}$-algebras are a family of vertex algebras defined by the generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov reductions associated with a finite-dimensional reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ over $\mathbb{C}$, a nilpotent element $f$ in $[\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}]$, a good grading $Γ$ and a symmetric invariant bilinear form $κ$ on $\mathfrak{g}$. We introduce free field realizations of $\mathcal{W}$-algebras by using Wakimoto representations of affine Lie algebras, where $\mathcal{W}$-algebras are described as the intersections of kernels of screening operators. We call these Wakimoto free …
This work concerns the representation theory of the affine Lie algebra $A_1^{(1)}$ at fractional level and its links to the representation theory of the Virasoro algebra. We introduce affine Kac modules as certain finitely generated submodules of Wakimoto modules. We conjecture the existence of several classes of staggered $A_1^{(1)}$-modules and provide evidence in the form of detailed examples. We extend the applicability of the Goddard-Kent-Olive coset construction to include the affine Kac and staggered modules. We introduce an exact functor between the associated category of $A_1^{(1)}$-m…
The fractional level models are (logarithmic) conformal field theories associated with affine Kac-Moody (super)algebras at certain levels $k \in \mathbb{Q}$. They are particularly noteworthy because of several longstanding difficulties that have only recently been resolved. Here, Wakimoto's free field realisation is combined with the theory of Jack symmetric functions to analyse the fractional level $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(2)$ models. The first main results are explicit formulae for the singular vectors of minimal grade in relaxed Wakimoto modules. These are closely related to the minimal gra…
The affine evaluation map is a surjective homomorphism from the quantum toroidal ${\mathfrak {gl}}_n$ algebra ${\mathcal E}'_n(q_1,q_2,q_3)$ to the quantum affine algebra $U'_q\widehat{\mathfrak {gl}}_n$ at level $κ$ completed with respect to the homogeneous grading, where $q_2=q^2$ and $q_3^n=κ^2$. We discuss ${\mathcal E}'_n(q_1,q_2,q_3)$ evaluation modules. We give highest weights of evaluation highest weight modules. We also obtain the decomposition of the evaluation Wakimoto module with respect to a Gelfand-Zeitlin type subalgebra of a completion of ${\mathcal E}'_n(q_1,q_2,q_3)$, which d…
Bosonized q-vertex operators related to the 4-dimensional evaluation modules of the quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[\hat{sl(2|1)}]$ are constructed for arbitrary level $k=α$, where $α\neq 0, -1$ is a complex parameter appearing in the 4-dimensional evaluation representations. They are intertwiners among the level-$α$ highest weight Fock-Wakimoto modules. Screen currents which commute with the action of $U_q[\hat{sl(2|1)}]$ up to total differences are presented. Integral formulae for N-point functions of type I and type II q-vertex operators are proposed.
The goal of this work is to construct a perverse t-structure on the infinity-category of l-adic LG-equivariant sheaves on the loop Lie algebra Lg and to show that the affine Grothendieck-Springer sheaf S is perverse. Moreover, S is an intermediate extension of its restriction to the locus of ``compact" elements with regular semi-simple reduction. Note that classical methods do not apply in our situation because LG and Lg are infinite-dimensional ind-schemes.
