Diagonal Coinvariants and Double Affine Hecke Algebras

We establish a q-generalization of Gordon's theorem that the space of diagonal coinvariants has a quotient identified with a perfect representation of the rational double affine Hecke algebra. It leads to a simple proof of his theorem and relates it to the Weyl algebras at roots of unity. The universal double affine Hecke algebra and the corresponding universal double Dunkl operators acting in noncommutative polynomials in terms of two sets of variables are introduced.

Double affine Hecke algebras, conformal coinvariants and Kostka polynomials

We study a class of representations called ``calibrated representations'' of the degenerate double affine Hecke algebra and those of the rational Cherednik algebra of type ${\mathrm{GL}}_n$. We give a realization of calibrated irreducible modules as spaces of coinvariants constructed from integrable modules over the affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_m$. Moreover, we give a character formula of these irreducible modules in terms of a level-restricted Kostka polynomials. A Combinatorial Formula for the Character of the Diagonal Coinvariants

Let R_n be the ring of coinvariants for the diagonal action of the symmetric group S_n. It is known that the character of R_n as a doubly-graded S_n module can be expressed using the Frobenius characteristic map as \nabla e_n, where e_n is the n-th elementary symmetric function, and \nabla is an operator from the theory of Macdonald polynomials. We conjecture a combinatorial formula for \nabla e_n and prove that it has many desirable properties which support our conjecture. Koornwinder polynomials and affine Hecke algebras

In this paper we derive the bi-orthogonality relations, diagonal term evaluations and evaluation formulas for the non-symmetric Koornwinder polynomials. For the derivation we use certain representations of the (double) affine Hecke algebra which were originally defined by Noumi and Sahi. The structure of the diagonal terms is clarified by expressing them as residues of the bi-orthogonality weight function. We furthermore give the explicit connection between the non-symmetric and the (anti-)symmetric theory.

Quantum Diagonal Algebra and Pseudo-Plactic Algebra

The subalgebra of diagonal elements of a quantum matrix group has been conjectured by Daniel Krob and Jean-Yves Thibon to be isomorphic to a cubic algebra, coined the quantum pseudo-plactic algebra. We present a functorial approach to the conjecture through the quantum Schur-Weyl duality between the quantum group and the Hecke algebra. The relations of the quantum diagonal subalgebra are found to be the image of the braid relations of the underlying Hecke algebra by an appropriate Schur functor which gives a straightforward proof of the conjecture.

Twisted quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras

We generalize quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras by incorporating a 2-cocycle on the associated finite group. We identify these algebras as specializations of deformations of twisted skew group algebras, giving an explicit connection to Hochschild cohomology. We classify these algebras for diagonal actions, as well as for the symmetric groups with their natural representations. Our results show that the parameter spaces for the symmetric groups in the twisted setting is smaller than in the untwisted setting.

Hochschild cohomology and quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras

Quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras are generalizations of Drinfeld Hecke algebras in which polynomial rings are replaced by quantum polynomial rings. We identify these algebras as deformations of skew group algebras, giving an explicit connection to Hochschild cohomology. We compute the relevant part of Hochschild cohomology for actions of many reflection groups and we exploit computations from our paper with Shroff for diagonal actions. Askey-Wilson polynomials: an affine Hecke algebraic approach

We study Askey-Wilson type polynomials using representation theory of the double affine Hecke algebra. In particular, we prove bi-orthogonality relations for non-symmetric and anti-symmetric Askey-Wilson polynomials with respect to a complex measure. Virasoro central charges for Nichols algebras

A Virasoro central charge can be associated with each Nichols algebra with diagonal braiding in a way that is invariant under the Weyl groupoid action. The central charge takes very suggestive values for some items in Heckenberger's list of rank-2 Nichols algebras. In particular, this might be viewed as an indication of the existence of reasonable logarithmic extensions of W_3==WA_2, WB_2, and WG_2 models of conformal field theory. In the W_3 case, the construction of an octuplet extended algebra---a counterpart of the triplet (1,p) algebra---is outlined.

Spin-Ruijsenaars, q-deformed Haldane-Shastry and Macdonald polynomials

We study the $q$-analogue of the Haldane-Shastry model, a partially isotropic (XXZ-like) long-range spin chain that enjoys quantum-affine (really: quantum-loop) symmetries at finite size. We derive the pairwise form of the Hamiltonian, found by one of us building on work of Uglov, via 'freezing' from the affine Hecke algebra. We obtain explicit expressions for the spin-analogue of Macdonald operators. Through freezing these yield the higher Hamiltonians of the spin chain, including a Hamiltonian of the opposite chirality.
