In this paper, using a quantum superalgebra associated with the universal central extension of sl(2,2)^{(1)}, we introduce new R-matrices having an extra parameter x. As x\to 0, they become those associated with the symmetric and anti-symmetric tensor products of the copies of the vector representation of U_q sl(2,2)^{(1)}.

Matrices, Bratteli Diagrams and Hopf-Galois Extensions

We show that the matrix embeddings in Bratteli diagrams are iterated direct sums of Hopf-Galois extensions (quantum principle bundles) for certain abelian groups. The corresponding strong universal connections are computed. We show that $ M_{n}(\mathbb{C})$ is a trivial quantum principle bundle for the Hopf algebra $ \mathbb{C}[\mathbb{Z}_{n} \times \mathbb{Z}_{n}] $. We conclude with an application relating known calculi on groups to calculi on matrices.

New $R$-matrices for small quantum groups

In this article we construct a large family of $R$-matrices for various extensions of small quantum groups by grouplike elements. The extensions are in correspondence to lattices between root and weight lattice and admit $R$-matrices in many cases where the original small quantum group does not. The results of this work extends some results that are well-known for $u_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$. Especially for $A_n$ a combinatorial theorem about roots of unity was necessary, which is interesting on its own, and has been proven in a separate paper [LN14].

Cocycle Knot Invariants, Quandle Extensions, and Alexander Matrices

The theory of quandle (co)homology and cocycle knot invariants is rapidly being developed. We begin with a summary of these recent advances. One such advance is the notion of a dynamical cocycle. We show how dynamical cocycles can be used to color knotted surfaces that are obtained from classical knots by twist-spinning. We also demonstrate relations between cocycle invariants and Alexander matrices.

We study Hopf-Galois extensions with central invariants for a finite dimensional Hopf algebra. We collect general facts about them and discuss some examples arising in the study of restricted Lie algebras and quantum groups at roots of unity.
