It is known that there are 48 Virasoro algebras acting on the monster conformal field theory. We call conformal field theories with such a property, which are not necessarily chiral, code conformal field theories. In this paper, we introduce a notion of a framed algebra, which is a finite-dimensional non-associative algebra, and showed that the category of framed algebras and the category of code conformal field theories are equivalent. We describe the construction of the genus-zero parts of conformal field theories in the sense of G. Segal from representations of vertex operator algebras satisfying certain conditions. The construction is divided into four steps and each step gives a mathematical structure of independent interest. These mathematical structures are intertwining operator algebras, genus-zero modular functors, genus-zero holomorphic weakly conformal field theories, and genus-zero conformal field theories.
We formulate the unitary rational orbifold conformal field theories in the algebraic quantum field theory framework. Under general conditions, we show that the orbifold of a given unitary rational conformal field theories generates a unitary modular category. Many new unitary modular categories are obtained. We also show that the irreducible representations of orbifolds of rank one lattice vertex operator algebras give rise to unitary modular categories and determine the corresponding modular matrices, which has been conjectured for some time.
We prove an equivalence between the following notions: (i) unitary Möbius vertex algebras, and (ii) Wightman conformal field theories on the circle (with finite-dimensional conformal weight spaces) satisfying an additional condition that we call uniformly bounded order. Reading this equivalence in one direction, we obtain new analytic and operator-theoretic information about vertex operators. We use the conformal Ward identities to study the structure of correlation functions in coset conformal field theories. For a large class of primary fields of arbitrary g/h theory a factorization anzatz is found.Corresponding correlation functions are explicitly expressed in terms of correlation functions of two independent WZNW theories for g and h.

All unitary Rational Conformal Field Theories (RCFT) are conjectured to be related to unitary coset Conformal Field Theories, i.e., gauged Wess-Zumino-Witten (WZW) models with compact gauge groups. In this paper we use subfactor theory and ideas of algebraic quantum field theory to approach coset Conformal Field Theories. Two conjectures are formulated and their consequences are discussed. The dilogarithm identities for the central charges of conformal field theories of simply laced type were conjectured by Bazhanov, Kirillov, and Reshetikhin. Their functional generalizations were conjectured by Gliozzi and Tateo. They have been partly proved by various authors. We prove these identities in full generality for any pair of Dynkin diagrams of simply laced type based on the cluster algebra formulation of the Y-systems.
