Relations between the Chow motive and the noncommutative motive of a smooth projective variety

In this note we relate the notions of Lefschetz type, decomposability, and isomorphism, on Chow motives with the notions of unit type, decomposability, and isomorphism, on noncommutative motives. Examples, counter-examples, and applications are also described.

The Betti numbers of some finite racks

We show that the lower bounds for Betti numbers given in math.GT/9909161 are equalities for a class of racks that includes dihedral and Alexander racks. We confirm a conjecture from the same paper by defining a splitting for the short exact sequence of quandle chain complexes. We define isomorphisms between Alexander racks of certain forms, and we also list the second and third homology groups of some dihedral and Alexander quandles.

A Combinatorial Formula for the Bigraded Betti Numbers

It has been shown that $1$-parameter persistence modules have a very simple classification, namely there is a discrete invariant called a barcode that completely characterizes $1$-parameter persistence modules up to isomorphism. T-duality for torus bundles with H-fluxes via noncommutative topology, II: the high-dimensional case and the T-duality group

We use noncommutative topology to study T-duality for principal torus bundles with H-flux. We characterize precisely when there is a "classical" T-dual, i.e., a dual bundle with dual H-flux, and when the T-dual must be "non-classical," that is, a continuous field of noncommutative tori. The duality comes with an isomorphism of twisted $K$-theories, required for matching of D-brane charges, just as in the classical case. Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras and the noncommutative Poincare duality of Koszul Calabi-Yau algebras

Let $A$ be a Koszul Calabi-Yau algebra. We show that there exists an isomorphism of Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras between the Hochschild cohomology ring of $A$ and that of its Koszul dual algebra $A^!$. This confirms (a generalization of) a conjecture of R.~Rouquier.

Vanishing of $L^{2}$-Betti numbers and failure of acylindrical hyperbolicity of matrix groups over rings

Let $R$ be an infinite commutative ring with identity and $n\geq 2$ be an integer. The Geometry and Combinatorics of Some Hessenberg Varieties Related to the Permutohedral Variety

We construct a concrete isomorphism from the permutohedral variety to the regular semisimple Hessenberg variety associated to the Hessenberg function $h_+(i)=i+1$, $1\le i\le n-1$.
