Let G be a reductive group and let Bun_G denote the moduli stack of G-bundles on a smooth projective curve. We begin the study of the singularities of a canonical compactification of Bun_G due to V. Drinfeld (unpublished), which we refer to as the Drinfeld-Lafforgue-Vinberg compactification. For G=GL_n certain smooth open substacks of this compactification have already appeared in the work of Drinfeld and of L. Lafforgue on the Langlands correspondence for function fields. Potential automorphy of $\widehat{G}$-local systems

Vincent Lafforgue has recently made a spectacular breakthrough in the setting of the global Langlands correspondence for global fields of positive characteristic, by constructing the `automorphic--to--Galois' direction of the correspondence for an arbitrary reductive group $G$. We discuss a result that starts with Lafforgue's work and proceeds in the opposite (`Galois--to--automorphic') direction.

Iterated line integrals over Laurent series fields of characteristic p

Inspired by Besser's work on Coleman integration, we use $\nabla$-modules to define iterated line integrals over Laurent series fields of characteristic $p$ taking values in double cosets of unipotent $n\times n$ matrices with coefficients in the Robba ring divided out by unipotent $n\times n$ matrices with coefficients in the bounded Robba ring on the left and by unipotent $n\times n$ matrices with coefficients in the constant field on the right. Support of Laurent series algebraic over the field of formal power series

This work is devoted to the study of the support of a Laurent series in several variables which is algebraic over the ring of power series over a characteristic zero field. Our first result is the existence of a kind of maximal dual cone of the support of such a Laurent series. As an application of this result we provide a gap theorem for Laurent series which are algebraic over the field of formal power series. We also relate these results to diophantine properties of the fields of Laurent series.
