Nonterminating transformations and summations associated with some q-Mellin--Barnes integrals

In many cases one may encounter an integral which is of $q$-Mellin--Barnes type. These integrals are easily evaluated using theorems which have a long history dating back to Slater, Askey, Gasper, Rahman and others. We derive some interesting $q$-Mellin--Barnes integrals and using them we derive transformation and summation formulas for nonterminating basic hypergeometric functions. A new proof for a nonterminating "strange" hypergeometric evaluation of Gasper and Rahman

An elementary proof is given for a nonterminating "strange" cubic $_7F_6$-series summation formula of Gasper and Rahman, through the modified Abel lemma on summation by parts. As a byproduct, an interesting nonterminating $_3F_2({3}/{4})$-series identity conjectured by Gosper, is also rederived.

Summations and transformations for multiple basic and elliptic hypergeometric series by determinant evaluations

Using multiple q-integrals and a determinant evaluation, we establish a multivariable extension of Bailey's nonterminating 10-phi-9 transformation. From this result, we deduce new multivariable terminating 10-phi-9 transformations, 8-phi-7 summations and other identities. We also use similar methods to derive new multivariable 1-psi-1 summations. Some of our results are extended to the case of elliptic hypergeometric series.

A new multivariable 6-psi-6 summation formula

By multidimensional matrix inversion, combined with an A_r extension of Jackson's 8-phi-7 summation formula by Milne, a new multivariable 8-phi-7 summation is derived. By a polynomial argument this 8-phi-7 summation is transformed to another multivariable 8-phi-7 summation which, by taking a suitable limit, is reduced to a new multivariable extension of the nonterminating 6-phi-5 summation. The latter is then extended, by analytic continuation, to a new multivariable extension of Bailey's very-well-poised 6-psi-6 summation formula.

On certain multiple Bailey, Rogers and Dougall type summation formulas

A multidimensional generalization of Bailey's very-well-poised bilateral basic hypergeometric ${}_6ψ_6$ summation formula and its Dougall type ${}_5H_5$ hypergeometric degeneration for $q\to 1$ is studied. The multiple Bailey sum amounts to an extension corresponding to the case of a nonreduced root system of certain summation identities associated to the reduced root systems that were recently conjectured by Aomoto and Ito and proved by Macdonald.
