We construct spectral triples for the C^*-algebra of continuous functions on the quantum SU(2) group and the quantum sphere. There has been various approaches towards building a calculus on quantum spaces, but there seems to be very few instances of computations outlined in chapter~6 of Connes' book. We give detailed computations of the associated Connes-de Rham complex and the space of L_2-forms.

Double derivations and Cyclic homology

We give a new construction of cyclic homology of an associative algebra A that does not involve Connes' differential. Our approach is based on an extended version of the complex ΩA, of noncommutative differential forms on A, and is similar in spirit to the de Rham approach to equivariant cohomology. Connes' calculus for The Quantum double suspension

Given a spectral triple $(\mathcal{A},\mathcal{H},D)\,$ Connes associated a canonical differential graded algebra $\,Ω_D^\bullet(\mathcal{A})$. Spectral triples from bimodule connections and Chern connections

We give a geometrical construction of Connes spectral triples or noncommutative Dirac operators $D$ starting with a bimodule connection on the proposed spinor bundle. The theory is applied to the example of $M_2(\Bbb C)$, and also applies to the standard $q$-sphere and the $q$-disk with the right classical limit and all properties holding except for $\mathcal J$ now being a twisted isometry. We also describe a noncommutative Chern construction from holomorphic bundles which in the $q$-sphere case provides the relevant bimodule connection.

A New Approach to Functional Analysis on Graphs, the Connes-Spectral Triple and its Distance Function

Continuing previous work we develop a certain piece of functional analysis on general graphs and use it to create what Connes calls a 'spectral triple', i.e. a Hilbert space structure, a representation of a certain (function) algebra and a socalled 'Dirac operator', encoding part of the geometric/algebraic properties of the graph.
