Metric Lie algebras with maximal isotropic centre

We investigate a certain class of solvable metric Lie algebras. For this purpose a theory of twofold extensions associated to an orthogonal representation of an abelian Lie algebra is developed. Among other things, we obtain a classification scheme for indecomposable metric Lie algebras with maximal isotropic centre and the classification of metric Lie algebras of index 2.

Some maximal isotropic distributions and their relation to field theory

We study the behaviour of differential forms in a manifold having at least one of their maximal isotropic local distributions endowed with the special algebraic property of being decomposable. We show that they can be represented as the sum of a form with constant coefficients and one that vanishes whenever contracted with vector fields in the former distribution, provided some simple integrability conditions are ensured. We also classify possible 'canonical coordinates' for a certain class of forms with potential applications in classical field theory.

Rank of Jacobi operator and existence of quadratic parallel differential form, with applications to geometry of almost para-contact metric manifolds

It is established that the existence of non-isotropic vector field which Jacobi operator of maximal rank is an obstacle for the existence of non-trivial second-order symmetric parallel tensor field. On the Weyl Tensor Classification in All Dimensions and its Relation with Integrability Properties

In this paper the Weyl tensor is used to define operators that act on the space of forms. These operators are shown to have interesting properties and are used to classify the Weyl tensor, the well known Petrov classification emerging as a special case. Spatially isotropic homogeneous spacetimes

We classify simply-connected homogeneous ($D+1$)-dimensional spacetimes for kinematical and aristotelian Lie groups with $D$-dimensional space isotropy for all $D\geq 0$. Geometry and BMS Lie algebras of spatially isotropic homogeneous spacetimes

Simply-connected homogeneous spacetimes for kinematical and aristotelian Lie algebras (with space isotropy) have recently been classified in all dimensions.
