Local points on P-adically uniformized Shimura varieties

Using the p-adic uniformization of Shimura varieties we determine, for some of them, over which local fields they have rational points. Using this we show in some new curve cases that the jacobians are even in the sense of Poonen and Stoll.

On the $l$-adic cohomology of some $p$-adically uniformized Shimura varieties

We determine the Galois representations inside the $l$-adic cohomology of some unitary Shimura varieties at split places where they admit uniformization by finite products of Drinfeld upper half spaces. Our main results confirm Langlands-Kottwitz's description of the cohomology of Shimura varieties in new cases.

Note on weight-monodromy conjecture for p-adically uniformized varieties

We prove the weight-monodromy conjecture for varieties which are p-adically uniformized by a product of the Drinfeld upper half spaces. It is an easy consequence of Dat's work on the cohomology complex of the Drinfeld upper half space.

Hodge-type decomposition for de Rham cohomology of $ p $-adically uniformized varieties

We prove a Hodge-type decomposition for the de-Rham cohomology of $ p$-adically uniformized varieties by the product of Drinfeld's symmetric spaces. It is based on work of Schneider, Stuhler, Iovita and Spiess on the cohomology of Drinfeld's symmetric space.

Weight-monodromy conjecture for p-adically uniformized varieties

The aim of this paper is to prove the weight-monodromy conjecture (Deligne's conjecture on the purity of monodromy filtration) for varieties p-adically uniformized by the Drinfeld upper half spaces of any dimension. The ingredients of the proof are to prove a special case of the Hodge standard conjecture, and apply a positivity argument of Steenbrink, M. Saito to the weight spectral sequence of Rapoport-Zink. On the $p$-adic cohomology of some $p$-adically uniformized varieties

Let $K$ be a finite extension of ${\mathbb Q}_p$ and let $X$ be Drinfel'd's symmetric space of dimension $d$ over $K$. Let $Γ\subset {\rm SL}_{d+1}(K)$ be a cocompact discrete (torsionfree) subgroup and let ${X}_Γ=Γ\backslash {X}$, a smooth projective ${K}$-variety. In this paper we investigate the de Rham and log crystalline (log convergent) cohomology of local systems on $X_Γ$ arising from $K[Γ]$-modules. p-adic uniformization of unitary Shimura varieties

In this paper we generalize Cherednik's method and prove that certain Shimura varieties corresponding to groups of unitary similitudes and automorphic vector bundles over them have p-adic uniformization. This is proved for Shimura varieties, uniformized by the complex unit ball, when the central simple algebra over a CM-field defining the group of unitary similitudes has Brauer invariant 1/d at p. In this case, Shimura varieties can be uniformized by Drinfeld's covers of p-adic upper half-spaces.

In this paper we show that certain Shimura varieties, uniformized by the product of complex unit balls, can be p-adically uniformized by the product (of equivariant coverings) of Drinfeld upper half-spaces. We also extend a p-adic uniformization to automorphic vector bundles. The Tate-Voloch Conjecture in a Power of a Modular Curve

Let $p$ be a prime. Tate and Voloch proved that a point of finite order in the algebraic torus cannot be $p$-adically too close to a fixed subvariety without lying on it. The current work is motivated by the analogy between torsion points on semi-abelian varieties and special or CM points on Shimura varieties. Special cycles on unitary Shimura varieties I. unramified local theory

The supersingular locus in the fiber at p of a Shimura variety attached to a unitary similitude group GU(1,n-1) over Q is uniformized by a formal scheme \Cal N. In the case when p is inert, we define special cycles Z(x) in \Cal N, associated to a collection x of m `special homomorphisms' with fundamental matrix T in Herm_m(OK).
