We describe the Gevrey series solutions at singular points of the irregular hypergeometric system (GKZ system) associated with an affine monomial curve. We also describe the irregularity complex of such a system with respect to its singular support. We use restriction and some results in D-module theory to reduce our study to the two dimensional case.
We make a detailed analysis of the A-hypergeometric system (or GKZ system) associated with a monomial curve and integral, hence resonant, exponents. We characterize the Laurent polynomial solutions and show that these are the only rational solutions. We also show that for any exponent, there are at most two linearly independent Laurent solutions, and that the upper bound is reached if and only if the curve is not arithmetically Cohen--Macaulay. We then construct, for all integral parameters, a basis of local solutions in terms of the roots of the generic univariate polynomial associated with A…

We describe the Gevrey series solutions at singular points of the irregular hypergeometric system (GKZ system) associated with an affine plane monomial curve. We also describe the irregularity complex of such a system with respect to its singular support.
We produce a decomposition of the parameter space of the $A$-hypergeometric system associated to a projective monomial curve as a union of an arrangement of lines and its complement, in such a way that the analytic behavior of the solutions of the system is explicitly controlled within each term of the union.
We study the irregularity sheaves attached to the $A$-hypergeometric $D$-module $M_A(β)$ introduced by Gel'fand et al., where $A\in\mathbb{Z}^{d\times n}$ is pointed of full rank and $β\in\mathbb{C}^d$. More precisely, we investigate the slopes of this module along coordinate subspaces. In the process we describe the associated graded ring to a positive semigroup ring for a filtration defined by an arbitrary weight vector $L$ on torus equivariant generators. To this end we introduce the $(A,L)$-umbrella, a simplicial complex determined by $A$ and $L$, and identify its facets with the component…
A Dwork family is a one-parameter monomial deformation of a Fermat hypersurface. In this paper we compute algebraically the invariant part of its Gauss-Manin cohomology under the action of certain subgroup of automorphisms. To achieve that goal we use the algebraic theory of $\mathcal{D}$-modules, especially one-dimensional hypergeometric ones.
We study the irregularity of hypergeometric D-modules $\mathcal{M}_A (β)$ via the explicit construction of Gevrey series solutions along coordinate subspaces in $X =\mathbb{C}^n$. As a consequence, we prove that along coordinate hyperplanes the combinatorial characterization of the slopes of $\mathcal{M}_A (β)$ given by M. Schulze and U. Walther in [21] still holds without any assumption on the matrix A. We also provide a lower bound for the dimensions of the spaces of Gevrey solutions along coordinate subspaces in terms of volumes of polytopes and prove the equality for very generic parameter…
A modified $A$-hypergeometric system is a system of differential equations for the function $f(t^w \cdot x)$ where $f(y)$ is a solution of an $A$-hypergeometric system in $n$ variables and $w$ is an $n$ dimensional integer vector, which is called the weight vector. We study the irregularity of modified systems by adapting to this case the notion of umbrella introduced by M. Schulze and U. Walther. Especially, we study slopes and Gevrey series solutions. We develop some applications of this study. Under some conditions we give Laplace integral representations of divergent series solutions of th…
We prove that a holonomic binomial $D$--module $M_A (I,β)$ is regular if and only if certain associated primes of $I$ determined by the parameter vector $β\in \CC^d$ are homogeneous. We further describe the slopes of $M_A(I,β)$ along a coordinate subspace in terms of the known slopes of some related hypergeometric $D$--modules that also depend on $β$. When the parameter $β$ is generic, we also compute the dimension of the generic stalk of the irregularity of $M_A(I,β)$ along a coordinate hyperplane and provide some remarks about the construction of its Gevrey solutions.
This paper is a sequel to \cite{C}, in which the author studies secant planes to linear series on a curve that is general in moduli. In that paper, the author proves that a general curve has no linear series with exceptional secant planes, in a very precise sense. Consequently, it makes sense to study effective divisors on $\ov{\mc{M}}_g$ associated to curves equipped with secant-exceptional linear series. Here we describe a strategy for computing the classes of those divisors. We pay special attention to the extremal case of $(2d-1)$-dimensional series with $d$-secant $(d-2)$-planes, which ap…
