Classical Schwarz Reflection Principle for Jenkins-Serrin Type Minimal Surfaces

We give a proof of the classical Schwarz reflection principle for Jenkins-Serrin type minimal surfaces in the homogeneous three manifolds $E(κ, τ)$ for $κ\leqslant 0$ and $τ\geqslant 0$. In our previous paper we proved a reflection principle in Riemannian manifolds. The statements and techniques in the two papers are distinct.

Reflection Principles for Smooth Harmonic Maps between Riemannian Manifolds and a Schwarz Reflection Principle for Harmonic and Holomorphic Maps from a Class of Hermitian Symmetric Spaces

After establishing the uniqueness of the continuation of local Cauchy data for harmonic maps between two Riemannian manifolds M and N, we prove (i) a reflection principle for a smooth minimal submanifold Y of a Riemannian manifold M that contains a reflective submanifold of M as a hypersurface and (ii) the reflection principle of for a class of smooth harmonic maps between Riemannian manifolds that admit reflective submanifolds. Construction of embedded periodic surfaces in $\mathbb{R}^n$

We construct embedded minimal surfaces which are $n$-periodic in $\mathbb{R}^n$. They are new for codimension $n-2\ge 2$. We start with a Jordan curve of edges of the $n$-dimensional cube. It bounds a Plateau minimal disk which Schwarz reflection extends to a complete minimal surface. Studying the group of Schwarz reflections, we can characterize those Jordan curves for which the complete surface is embedded. For example, for $n=4$ exactly five such Jordan curves generate embedded surfaces. Our results apply to surface classes other than minimal as well, for instance polygonal surfaces.

Discrete minimal nets with symmetries

In this paper, we extend the notion of Schwarz reflection principle for smooth minimal surfaces to the discrete analogues for minimal surfaces, and use it to create global examples of discrete minimal nets with high degree of symmetry.
