Although this article can be read independently, it is a continuation of the introduction to integrable systems aspects of quantum cohomology given in part 1 (math.DG/0104274). In the same elementary style, i.e. assuming basic properties of quantum cohomology and concentrating on the simplest nontrivial examples, the quantum differential equations of Givental are studied in some detail. The solutions are described first as generating functions for certain Gromov-Witten invariants, then as generalizations of hypergeometric functions, as predicted by the Mirror Theorem.

Introduction to homological geometry: part I

This is an introduction to some of the analytic (or integrable systems) aspects of quantum cohomology which have attracted much attention during the last few years. The small quantum cohomology algebra, regarded as an example of a Frobenius manifold, is described in the original naive manner, without going into the technicalities of a rigorous definition. Homological Error Correcting Codes and Systolic Geometry

In my masters thesis I prove a square root bound on the distance of homological codes that come from two dimensional surfaces, as a result of the systolic inequality. I also give a detailed version of M.H. Freedman's proof that due to systolic freedom, this bound does not hold in higher dimensions.

Homological mirror symmetry for local Calabi-Yau manifolds via SYZ

This is a write-up of the author's talk in the conference "Algebraic Geometry in East Asia 2016" held at the University of Tokyo in January 2016. We give a survey on a series of papers of the author and his collaborators Daniel Pomerleano and Kazushi Ueda where we show how Strominger-Yau-Zaslow (SYZ) transforms can be applied to understand the geometry of Kontsevich's homological mirror symmetry (HMS) conjecture for certain local Calabi-Yau manifolds.

Quantum error-correcting codes and 4-dimensional arithmetic hyperbolic manifolds

Using 4-dimensional arithmetic hyperbolic manifolds, we construct some new homological quantum error correcting codes. They are LDPC codes with linear rate and distance $n^ε$. Their rate is evaluated via Euler characteristic arguments and their distance using $\mathbb{Z}_2$-systolic geometry. This construction answers a queston of Zémor, who asked whether homological codes with such parameters could exist at all.

Homological Algebra for Superalgebras of Differentiable Functions

This is the second in a series of papers laying the foundations for a differential graded approach to derived differential geometry (and other geometries in characteristic zero). In this paper, we extend the classical notion of a dg-algebra to define, in particular, the notion of a differential graded algebra in the world of C-infinity rings. Homological Methods in Equations of Mathematical Physics

These lecture notes are a systematic and self-contained exposition of the cohomological theories naturally related to partial differential equations: the Vinogradov C-spectral sequence and the C-cohomology, including the formulation in terms of the horizontal (characteristic) cohomology. Applications to computing invariants of differential equations are discussed. The lectures contain necessary introductory material on the geometric theory of differential equations and homological algebra.
