The Automorphism Group of Certain Higher Degree Forms

We consider symmetric d-linear forms of dimension n over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic 0. The "center" of a form is the analogous of the space of symmetric matrices of a bilinear form. For d>2 the center is a commutative subalgebra of $\mathbf{M}_n(k)$. The automorphism group of the form acts naturally on the center. We give a description of this group via this action.

Finite-Dimensional Representations of Hyper Loop Algebras Over Non-Algebraically Closed Fields

We study finite-dimensional representations of hyper loop algebras over non-algebraically closed fields. The main results concern the classification of the irreducible representations, the construction of the Weyl modules, base change, tensor products of irreducible and Weyl modules, and the block decomposition of the underlying abelian category. Several results are interestingly related to the study of irreducible representations of polynomial algebras and Galois theory.

On a Dimension Formula for Twisted Spherical Conjugacy Classes in Semisimple Algebraic Groups

Let $G$ be a connected semisimple algebraic group over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, and let $þ$ be an automorphism of $G$. We give a characterization of $þ$-twisted spherical conjugacy classes in $G$ by a formula for their dimensions in terms of certain elements in the Weyl group of $G$, generalizing a result of N. Cantarini, G. Carnovale, and M. Costantini when $þ$ is the identity automorphism. For $G$ simple and $þ$ an outer automorphism of $G$, we also classify the Weyl group elements that appear in the dimension formula.

McKay correspondence over non algebraically closed fields

The classical McKay correspondence for finite subgroups $G$ of $\SL(2,\C)$ gives a bijection between isomorphism classes of nontrivial irreducible representations of $G$ and irreducible components of the exceptional divisor in the minimal resolution of the quotient singularity $\A^2_\C/G$. Over non algebraically closed fields $K$ there may exist representations irreducible over $K$ which split over $\bar{K}$. The same is true for irreducible components of the exceptional divisor. Representations of field automorphism groups

This is a common introduction to math.RT/0101170, math.RT/0306333, math.RT/0506043, math.RT/0601028. Compared to these references there are new results including (i) a description of a separable closure of an extension of transcendence degree one of an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic; (ii) a "Künneth formula" for the products with curves; (iii) the semi-simplicity of the module of regular forms of top degree $Ω^n_{F/k}$.
