We prove the following Hartogs-Bochner type theorem: Let $M$ be a connected $C^2$ hypersurface of $P_n(\mathbb{C})$ ($n\geq 2$) which divides $P_n(\mathbb{C})$ in two connected open sets $Ω_1$ and $Ω_2$. Then there exists $i \in \{1,2\}$ such that $C^{1}$ CR functions defined on $M$ extends holomorphically to $Ω_i$.
The present paper have been replaced by the paper: Hartogs-Bochner type theorem in Projective Space (math.CV/0011095) in which we prove the following Hartogs-Bochner type theorem: Let $M$ be a connected $C^2$ hypersurface of $P_n(\mathbb{C})$ ($n\geq 2$) which divides $P_n(\mathbb{C})$ in two connected open sets $Ω_1$ and $Ω_2$. Then there exists $i \in \{1,2\}$ such that $C^{1}$ CR functions defined on $M$ extends holomorphically to $Ω_i$.
The main result is that for a connected hyperbolic complete Kähler manifold with bounded geometry of order two and exactly one end, either the first compactly supported cohomology with values in the structure sheaf vanishes or the manifold admits a proper holomorphic mapping onto a Riemann surface.
A generalization of the Hartogs theorem is proved for a class of Tubes structures. We assume that the intervening commutative Lie algebra admits at least a number of globally solvable generators greater or equal to the structure codimension. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the first cohomological group with compact support to be trivial. A such global result was previously obtained only when the supporting manifold was the Euclidean space. Further but canonical work is need to recover the Bochner extension theorem.
Let M be a compact, connected, C^2-smooth and globally minimal hypersurface M in P_2(C) which divides the projective space into two connected parts U^{+} and U^{-}. We prove that there exists a side, U^- or U^+, such that every continuous CR function on M extends holomorphically to this side. Our proof of this theorem is a simplification of a result originally due to F. Sarkis.
We prove an extension theorem for roots and logarithms of holomorphic line bundles across strictly pseudoconcave boundaries: they extend in all cases except one, when dimension and Morse index of a critical point is two. In that case we give an explicit description of obstructions to the extension.
The purpose of this paper is to generalize in a geometric setting theorems of Severi, Brown and Bochner about analytic continuation of real analytic functions which are holomorphic or harmonic with respect to one of its variables. We prove in particular that if N is a real analytic levi-flat annulus in an open set of R^{n}\timesC^{2}, then one can find X\subsetR^{n}\timesC^{2} such that X\cupN is a levi-flat real analytic subset and X fills N in the sense that the boundary of the integration current of X is a prescribed smooth submanifold of N foliated by real curves. Moreover, real analytic f…
Let $Ω\subset\mathbb{C}^n$, $n\geq 2$, be a domain with smooth connected boundary. If $Ω$ is relatively compact, the Hartogs-Bochner theorem ensures that every CR distribution on $\partialΩ$ has a holomorphic extension to $Ω$. For unbounded domains this extension property may fail, for example if $Ω$ contains a complex hypersurface. The main result in this paper tells that the extension property holds if and only if the envelope of holomorphy of $\mathbb{C}^n\backslash\overlineΩ$ is $\mathbb{C}^n$. It seems that it is a first result in the literature which gives a geometric characterization of…
This paper consists of two results dealing with balanced metrics (in S. Donaldson terminology) on nonconpact complex manifolds. In the first one we describe all balanced metrics on Cartan domains. In the second one we show that the only Cartan-Hartogs domain which admits a balanced metric is the complex hyperbolic space. By combining these results with those obtained in [13] (Kaehler-Einstein submanifolds of the infinite dimensional projective space, to appear in Mathematische Annalen) we also provide the first example of complete, Kaehler-Einstein and projectively induced metric g such that $…
In the framework of superanalysis we get a functions theory close to complex analysis, under a suitable condition (A) on the real superalgebras in consideration. Under the condition (A), we get an integral representation formula for the superdifferentiable functions. We give a result of Hartogs type of separated superdifferentiability and a continuation theorem of Hartogs-Bochner type for the superdifferentiable functions.
In this paper we study Kaehler manifolds that are strongly not relative to any projective Kaehler manifold, i.e. those Kaehler manifolds that do not share a Kaehler submanifold with any projective Kaehler manifold even when their metric is rescaled by the multiplication by a positive constant. We prove two results which highlight some relations between this property and the existence of a full Kaehler immersion into the infinite dimensional complex projective space. As application we get that the 1-parameter families of Bergman-Hartogs and Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domains are strongly not relativ…
In the framework of superanalysis we get a functions theory close to complex analysis, under a suitable condition (A) on the real superalgebras in consideration (this condition is a generalization of the classical relation 1 + i^2 = 0 in C). Under the condition (A), we get an integral representation formula for the superdifferentiable functions. We give a result of Hartogs type of separated superdifferentiability, a continuation theorem of Hartogs-Bochner type and a Liouville theorem for the superdifferentiable functions.
The definition of balanced metrics was originally given by Donaldson in the case of a compact polarized Kähler manifold in 2001, who also established the existence of such metrics on any compact projective Kähler manifold with constant scalar curvature. Currently, the only noncompact manifolds on which balanced metrics are known to exist are homogeneous domains. The generalized Cartan-Hartogs domain $\big(\prod_{j=1}^kΩ_j\big)^{\mathbb{B}^{d_0}}(μ)$ is defined as the Hartogs type domain constructed over the product $\prod_{j=1}^kΩ_j$ of irreducible bounded symmetric domains $Ω_j$ $(1\leq j \le…
Let $M \subset {\mathbb{C}}^{n+1}$, $n \geq 2$, be a real codimension two CR singular real-analytic submanifold that is nondegenerate and holomorphically flat. We prove that every real-analytic function on $M$ that is CR outside the CR singularities extends to a holomorphic function in a neighborhood of $M$. Our motivation is to prove the following analogue of the Hartogs-Bochner theorem. Let $Ω\subset {\mathbb{C}}^n \times {\mathbb{R}}$, $n \geq 2$, be a bounded domain with a connected real-analytic boundary such that $\partial Ω$ has only nondegenerate CR singularities. We prove that if $f \…
Using Bochner-Martinelli type residual currents we prove some generalizations of Jacobi's Residue Formula, which allow proper polynomial maps to have `common zeroes at infinity', in projective or toric situations.
We prove new Skoda-type division, or ideal membership, theorems. We work in a geometric setting of line bundles over Kahler manifolds that are Stein away from an analytic subvariety. (This includes complex projective manifolds.) Our approach is to combine the twisted Bochner-Kodaira Identity, used in the Ohsawa-Takegoshi Theorem, with Skoda's basic estimate for the division problem. Techniques developed by McNeal and the author are then used to provide many examples of new division theorems. Among other applications, we give a modification of a recent result of Siu regarding effective finite g…

This paper is devoted to various applications of Hardy-Sobolev type inequalities. We derive a new $L^2$ estimate for the $\bar{\partial}-$equation on ${\mathbb C}^n$ which yields a quantitative generalization of the Hartogs extension theorem to the case when the singularity set is not necessary compact. We show that for any negative subharmonic function $ψ$ on ${\mathbb R}^n$, $n>2$, the BMO norm of $\log |ψ|$ is bounded above by $2\sqrt{n-2}$ and $|ψ|^γ$ satisfies a reverse Hölder inequality for every $0<γ<1$. We also show that every plurisubharmonic function is locally BMO. Several Liouville…
