Effective actions of the general indefinite unitary groups on holomorphically separable manifolds

We determine all holomorphically separable complex manifolds of dimension $p+q$ which admits a smooth envelope of holomorphy such that the general indefinite unitary group of size $p+q$ acts effectively by holomorphic transformations. Also we give exact description of the automorphism groups of those complex manifolds. As an application we consider a characterization of those complex manifolds by their automorphism groups.

Effective transitive actions of the unitary group on quotients of Hopf manifolds

In our article of 2002 joint with N. Kruzhilin we showed that every connected complex manifold of dimension $n\ge 2$ that admits an effective transitive action by holomorphic transformations of the unitary group ${\rm U}_n$ is biholomorphic to the quotient of a Hopf manifold by the action of ${\mathbb Z}_m$ for some integer $m$ satisfying $(n,m)=1$. In this note, we complement the above result with an explicit description of all effective transitive actions of ${\rm U}_n$ on such quotients, which provides an answer to a 10-year old question.

Higher codimensional Ueda theory for a compact submanifold with unitary flat normal bundle

Let $Y$ be a compact complex manifold embedded in a complex manifold with unitary flat normal bundle. Our interest is in a sort of the linearizability problem of a neighborhood of $Y$. As a higher-codimensional generalization of Ueda's result, we give a sufficient condition for the existence of a non-singular holomorphic foliation on a neighborhood of $Y$ which includes $Y$ as a leaf with unitary-linear holonomy. We apply this result to the existence problem of a smooth Hermitian metric with semi-positive curvature on a nef line bundle.

Complexifying Lie group actions on homogeneous manifolds of non-compact dimension two

If $X$ is a connected complex manifold with $d_X = 2$ that admits the holomorphic and transitive action of a (connected) Lie group $G$, then the action extends to an action of the complexification $\hat{G}$ of $G$ on $X$ except when either the unit disk or else a strictly pseudoconcave homogeneous complex manifold is involved as base or fiber in some homogeneous fibration of $X$.

Dolbeault cohomology of compact complex manifolds with an action of a complex Lie group

Let $G$ be a complex Lie group acting on a compact complex Hermitian manifold $M$ by holomorphic isometries. We prove that the induced action on the Dolbeault cohomology and on the Bott-Chern cohomology is trivial. We also apply this result to compute the Dolbeault cohomology of Vaisman manifolds.
