We give a precise measure of the rate at which repeated differentiation of a random trigonometric polynomial causes the roots of the function to approach equal spacing. This can be viewed as a toy model of crystallization in one dimension. In particular we determine the asymptotics of the distribution of the roots around the crystalline configuration and find that the distribution is not Gaussian.

In this paper, we study the theory of orthogonal trigonometric polynomials (OTP). We obtain asymptotics of OTP with positive and analytic weight functions by Riemann-Hilbert approach and find they have relations with orthogonal polynomials on the unit circle (OPUC). By the relations and the theory of OPUC, we also get four-terms recurrent formulae, Christoffel-Darboux formula and some properties of zeros for orthogonal trigonometric polynomials.

The analytic solutions of the one-dimensional Schroedinger equation for the trigonometric Rosen-Morse potential reported in the literature rely upon the Jacobi polynomials with complex indices and complex arguments. We propose a method of quantization of certain Lie bialgebra structures on the polynomial Lie algebras related to quasi-trigonometric solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation. The method is based on so-called affinization of certain seaweed algebras and their quantum analogues.
