A construction of relativistic wave equations on the homogeneous spaces of the Poincaré group is given for arbitrary spin chains. Parametrizations of the field functions and harmonic analysis on the homogeneous spaces are studied. It is shown that a direct product of Minkowski spacetime and two-dimensional complex sphere is the most suitable homogeneous space for the physical applications. The Lagrangian formalism and field equations on the Poincaré and Lorentz groups are considered. A boundary value problem for the relativistically invariant system is defined. General solutions of this problem are expressed via an expansion in hyperspherical functions defined on the complex two-sphere.
Hamiltonians describing the relativistic quantum dynamics of a particle with an arbitrary spin are shown to exhibit a supersymmetric structure when the even and odd elements of the Hamiltonian commute. For such supersymmetric Hamiltonians an exact Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation exits which brings it into a block-diagonal form separating the positive and negative energy subspaces. Here the supercharges transform between energy eigenstates of positive and negative energy. The relativistic dynamics of a charged particle in a magnetic field is considered for the case of a scalar (spin-zero) boson…

We construct Schwinger functions as the superposition of Schwinger functions which correspond to those of free fields with sharp masses $ m $. We prove that all axioms of Osterwalder and Schrader are satisfied. This construction works independently of the space-time dimension $ d $. The Schwinger functions under consideration are the moments of a non-Gaussian measure on the space of tempered distributions $ S'(\mathbb R^d) $.

In this note we construct Q-operators for the spin s open Heisenberg XXX chain with diagonal boundaries in the framework of the quantum inverse scattering method. Following the algebraic Bethe ansatz we diagonalise the introduced Q-operators using the fundamental commutation relations. By acting on Bethe off-shell states and explicitly evaluating the trace in the auxiliary space we compute the eigenvalues of the Q-operators in terms of Bethe roots and show that the unwanted terms vanish if the Bethe equations are satisfied.
In this work, we generalize a recursive enumerative formula for connected Feynman diagrams with two external legs. The Feynman diagrams are defined from a fermionic gas with a two-body interaction. The generalized recurrence is valid for connected Feynman diagrams with an arbitrary number of external legs and an arbitrary order. The recurrence formula terms are expressed in function of weak compositions of non-negative integers and partitions of positive integers in such a way that to each term of the recurrence correspond a partition and a weak composition. The foundation of this enumeration …
An analytic method is proposed to compute the surface energy and elementary excitations of the XXZ spin chain with generic non-diagonal boundary fields. For the gapped case, in some boundary parameter regimes the contributions of the two boundary fields to the surface energy are non-additive. Such a correlation effect between the two boundaries also depends on the parity of the site number $N$ even in the thermodynamic limit $N\to\infty$. For the gapless case, contributions of the two boundary fields to the surface energy are additive due to the absence of long-range correlation in the bulk. A…
The thermodynamic properties of the XXZ spin chain with integrable open boundary conditions at the gaped region (i.e., the anisotropic parameter $η$ being a real number) are investigated. It is shown that the contribution of the inhomogeneous term in the $T-Q$ relation of the ground state and elementary excited state can be neglected when the size of the system $N$ tends to infinity. The surface energy and elementary excitations induced by the unparallel boundary magnetic fields are obtained.
To further confirm the causality and stability of a second-order hyperbolic system of partial differential equations that models the relativistic dynamics of barotropic fluids with viscosity and heat conduction (H. Freistühler and B. Temple, J. Math. Phys. 59 (2018)), this paper studies the Fourier-Laplace modes of this system and shows that all such modes, relative to arbitrary Lorentz frames, (a) decay with increasing time and (b) travel at subluminal speeds. Stability is also shown for the related model of non-barotropic fluids (H. Freistühler and B. Temple. Proc. R. Soc. A 470 (2014) and P…
In this paper, we construct Lax matrices for certain relativistic open Toda chains endowed with a one-sided 1-parameter boundary interaction. Built upon the Lax representation of the dynamics, an algebraic solution algorithm is also exhibited. To our best knowledge, this particular 1-parameter subfamily of van Diejen--Toda chains has not been analyzed in earlier literature.
