We reveal a relationship between the colored Jones polynomial and the A-polynomial for twist knots. We demonstrate that an asymptotics of the $N$-colored Jones polynomial in large $N$ gives the potential function, and that the A-polynomial can be computed. Also discussed is a case of torus knots.

Matrix integral expansion of colored Jones polynomials for figure-eight knot

In this note we examine a possible extension of the matrix integral representation of knot invariants beyond the class of torus knots. In particular, we study a representation of the SU(2) quantum Racah coefficients by double matrix integrals. We find that the Racah coefficients are mapped to expansion coefficients in some basis of double integrals. The transformed coefficients have a number of interesting algebraic properties.

The colored Jones polynomials as vortex partition functions

We construct 3D $\mathcal{N}=2$ abelian gauge theories on $\mathbb{S}^2 \times \mathbb{S}^1$ labeled by knot diagrams whose K-theoretic vortex partition functions, each of which is a building block of twisted indices, give the colored Jones polynomials of knots in $\mathbb{S}^3$. The colored Jones polynomials are obtained as the Wilson loop expectation values along knots in $SU(2)$ Chern-Simons gauge theories on $\mathbb{S}^3$, and then our construction provides an explicit correspondence between 3D $\mathcal{N}=2$ abelian gauge theories and 3D $SU(2)$ Chern-Simons gauge theories. Congruent skein relations for colored HOMFLY-PT invariants and colored Jones polynomials

Colored HOMFLY-PT invariant, the generalization of the colored Jones polynomial, is one of the most important quantum invariants of links. This paper is devoted to investigating the basic structures of the colored HOMFLY-PT invariants of links. By using the HOMFLY-PT skein theory, firstly, we show that the (reformulated) colored HOMFLY-PT invariants actually lie in the ring $\mathbb{Z}[(q-q^{-1})^2,t^{\pm 1}]$. Turaev-Viro invariants, colored Jones polynomials and volume

We obtain a formula for the Turaev-Viro invariants of a link complement in terms of values of the colored Jones polynomial of the link. As an application we give the first examples for which the volume conjecture of Chen and the third named author\,\cite{Chen-Yang} is verified. Torus Knots and the Chern-Simons path integral: a rigorous treatment

In 1993 Rosso and Jones computed for every simple, complex Lie algebra g_C and every colored torus knot in S^3 the value of the corresponding U_q(g_C)-quantum invariant by using the machinery of quantum groups. In the present paper we derive a S^2 x S^1-analogue of the Rosso-Jones formula (for colored torus ribbon knots) directly from a rigorous realization of the corresponding (gauge fixed) Chern-Simons path integral. Colored knot amplitudes and Hall-Littlewood polynomials

The amplitudes of refined Chern-Simons (CS) theory, colored by antisymmetric (or symmetric) representations, conjecturally generate the Lambda^r- (or S^r-) colored triply graded homology of (n,m) torus knots. Implications for colored HOMFLY polynomials from explicit formulas for group-theoretical structure

We have recently proposed arXiv:2105.11565 a powerful method for computing group factors of the perturbative series expansion of the Wilson loop in the Chern-Simons theory with $SU(N)$ gauge group.
