Image watermarking enables provenance tracing for photorealistic images generated by diffusion models. However, state-of-the-art (SOTA) removal attacks can suppress embedded signals with little perceptual degradation. This vulnerability limits the effectiveness of watermarks for intellectual property protection and misuse attribution. We propose WaveMark, a novel wavelet-domain watermarking method that embeds messages in a diffusion model's initial noise. To support robust recovery from perturbed carriers, WaveMark distributes keyed replicas of message bits across spatial positions, wavelet orientations, and scales. Each carrier groups coefficients from four latent channels and encodes a randomized bit through magnitude projection, providing an explicit decoding margin. We evaluate WaveMark with SD2.1 on SDP and MS-COCO Captions under 14 attacks. WaveMark achieves 100.0% bit accuracy (BA) without attacks, while maintaining image quality comparable to the evaluated baselines. Under SOTA MarkNull and MarkNull-A, it retains over 88% BA, outperforming all baselines.
An approach to watermarking digital images using non-regular wavelets is advanced. Non-regular transforms spread the energy in the transform domain. The proposed method leads at the same time to increased image quality and increased robustness with respect to lossy compression. The approach provides robust watermarking by suitably creating watermarked messages that have energy compaction and frequency spreading. Our experimental results show that the application of non-regular wavelets, instead of regular ones, can furnish a superior robust watermarking scheme. The generated watermarked data i…

With the growing popularity of the Internet, digital images are used and transferred more frequently. Although this phenomenon facilitates easy access to information, it also creates security concerns and violates intellectual property rights by allowing illegal use, copying, and digital content theft. Using watermarks in digital images is one of the most common ways to maintain security. Watermarking is proving and declaring ownership of an image by adding a digital watermark to the original image. Watermarks can be either text or an image placed overtly or covertly in an image and are expect…
This study aims to present an adaptive audio watermarking method using ideas of wavelet-based entropy (WBE). The method converts low-frequency coefficients of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) into the WBE domain, followed by the calculations of mean values of each audio as well as derivation of some essential properties of WBE. A characteristic curve relating the WBE and DWT coefficients is also presented. The foundation of the embedding process lies on the approximately invariant property demonstrated from the mean of each audio and the characteristic curve. Besides, the quality of the waterm…
In this paper a new approach to image watermarking in wavelet domain is presented. The idea is to hide the watermark data in blocks of the block segmented image. Two schemes are presented based on this idea by embedding the watermark data in the low pass wavelet coefficients of each block. Due to low computational complexity of the proposed approach, this algorithm can be implemented in real time. Experimental results demonstrate the impercepti-bility of the proposed method and its high robustness against various attacks such as filtering, JPEG compres-sion, cropping, noise addition and geomet…
This work studied embedding positions of digital audio watermarking in wavelet domain, to make beginners understand the nature of watermarking in a short time. Based on the theory of wavelet transform, this paper analyzed statistical distributions of each level after transformation and the features of watermark embedded in different transform levels. Through comparison and analysis, we found that watermark was suitable for embedding into the coefficients of the first four levels of wavelet transform. In current state-of-art approaches, the embedding algorithms were always to replace the coeffi…

As digital content can be copied easily, Copyright infringement has become a concern nowadays. Providing a solution to prevent the abuse of such contents is very necessary. One of the most common methods to solve this problem is watermarking. In this method, a logo belongs to the owner of the media is embedded in the media. So, they can prove the originality or ownership of the media content. Images are one of the most important digital media. Therefore, in this study, a method for digital image watermarking is proposed. The proposed method is based on Graph-based Transform (GBT), Singular Val…

In this paper, a new reversible image authentication technique with tamper localization based on watermarking in integer wavelet transform is proposed. If the image authenticity is verified, then the distortion due to embedding the watermark can be completely removed from the watermarked image. If the image is tampered, then the tampering positions can also be localized. Two layers of watermarking are used. The first layer embedded in spatial domain verifies authenticity and the second layer embedded in transform domain provides reversibility. This technique utilizes selective LSB embedding an…
In this paper a blind, Secure, imperceptible and robust watermarking algorithm based on wavelet transform domain is proposed in which for more security, the watermark W is converted to a sequence and then a random binary sequence R of size n is adopted to encrypt the watermark, where n is the size of the watermark image. Afterwards, the encrypted watermark sequence W1 is generated by executing exclusive-OR operation on W and R. This generated watermark embeds into low frequency selected coefficients of Y channel wavelet decomposition of JPEG-YCbCr using LSB insertion technique. The experimenta…
In recent years, discrete wavelet transform (DWT) provides an useful platform for digital information hiding and copyright protection. Many DWT-based algorithms for this aim are proposed. The performance of these algorithms is in term of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and bit-error-rate (BER) which are used to measure the quality and the robustness of an embedded audio. However, there is a tradeoff relationship between the embedded-audio quality and robustness. The tradeoff relationship is a signal processing problem in the wavelet domain. To solve this problem, this study presents an optimizatio…
A novel digital watermarking for ownership verification and image authentication applications using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is proposed in this paper. Most previous proposed watermarking algorithms embed sequences of random numbers as watermarks. Here binary images are taken as watermark for embedding. In the proposed approach, the host image is converted into the YCbCr color space and then its Y channel decomposed into wavelet coefficients. The selected approximation coefficients are quantized and then their four least significant bits of the quantized coefficients are replaced by th…

The current paper presents a robust watermarking method for still images, which uses the similarity of discrete wavelet transform and human visual system (HVS). The proposed scheme makes the use of pixel wise masking in order to make binary watermark imperceptible to the HVS. The watermark is embedded in the perceptually significant, spatially selected detail coefficients using sub band adaptive threshold scheme. The threshold is computed based on the statistical analysis of the wavelet coefficients. The watermark is embedded several times to achieve better robustness. Here, a new type of non-…

TRLG generates four compact digests with super quality based on lifting wavelet transform and halftoning technique by distinguishing the types of image blocks. In other words, for each 2*2 non-overlap blocks, four chances for recovering destroyed blocks are considered. A special parameter estimation technique based on genetic algorithm is performed to improve and optimize the quality of digests and watermarked image. Fu…
Vulnerability of watermarking schemes against intense signal processing attacks is generally a major concern, particularly when there are techniques to reproduce an acceptable copy of the original signal with no chance for detecting the watermark. In this paper, we propose a two-layer, data partitioning (DP) based, image in image watermarking method in the DCT domain to improve the watermark detection performance. Truncated singular value decomposition, binary wavelet decomposition and spatial scalability idea in H.264/SVC are analyzed and employed as partitioning methods. It is shown that the…

One of the effective methods for the preservation of copyright ownership of digital media is watermarking. Different watermarking techniques try to set a tradeoff between robustness and transparency of the process. In this research work, we have used color space conversion and frequency transform to achieve high robustness and transparency. Due to the distribution of image information in the RGB domain, we use the YUV color space, which concentrates the visual information in the Y channel. Embedding of the watermark is performed in the DCT coefficients of the specific wavelet subbands. Experim…

After converting the host image to YUV color space and then wavelet decomposition of Y channel, this adopted watermark is embedded into the selected subbands coefficients of Y cha…
