In this paper, we theoretically investigate the deflection of light produced by a topologically charged Holonomy corrected Schwarzschild black hole. The study is carried out both in the weak field limit and in the strong field limit. We analytically deduced the expansions for light deflection in the two limits and, from them, we determined the observables in order to provide elements so that observational tools are able to identify these solutions. We model possible gravitational scenarios in order to verify the possible gravitational characteristics of the solution.

Parallel transport of vectors in curved spacetimes generally results in a deficit angle between the directions of the initial and final vectors. We examine such holonomy in the Schwarzschild-Droste geometry and find a number of interesting features that are not widely known. For example, parallel transport around circular orbits results in a quantized band structure of holonomy invariance. We also examine radial holonomy and extend the analysis to spinors and to the Reissner-Nordström metric, where we find qualitatively different behavior for the extremal ($Q = M$) case. Our calculations provi…
We use vielbein bundle's horizontal lift path integral formulation and gauge theory's holonomy map to compactly describe parallel transport and geodesic equations on a manifold. This is first applied to the geometry of general relativistic Schwarzschild as a review. The Newton-Cartan take of the Schwarzschild metric derived by previous literature is then adopted, and the analysis is repeated for both non-torsional and torsional geometry. Transport curves considered include a circular timeless loop, circular geodesic loop, radial geodesic loop, and a stationary loop. The findings on the three g…
We analyze parallel transport of a vector field around an equatorial orbit in Kerr and stationary axisymmetric spacetimes that are reflection symmetric about their equatorial planes. As in Schwarzschild spacetime, there is a band structure of holonomy invariance. The new feature introduced by rotation is a shift in the timelike component of the vector, which is the holonomic manifestation of the gravitomagnetic clock effect.
We consider the modified Einstein equations obtained in the framework of effective spherically symmetric polymer models inspired by Loop Quantum Gravity. When one takes into account the anomaly free point-wise holonomy quantum corrections, the modification of Einstein equations is parametrized by a function $f(x)$ of one phase space variable. We solve explicitly these equations for a static interior black hole geometry and find the effective metric describing the trapped region, inside the black hole, for any $f(x)$. This general resolution allows to take into account a standard ambiguity inhe…

We present a covariant model of a spherically symmetric black hole with corrections motivated by loop quantum gravity. The effective modifications, parametrized by a positive constant $λ$, are implemented through a canonical transformation and a linear combination of the constraints of general relativity, in such a way that the theory remains free of anomalies and general relativity is recovered for $λ=0$. In addition, the corresponding metric is constructed in a fully covariant way to ensure that gauge transformations on phase space correspond to coordinate changes. The solution for each gaug…
We show that, unlike vacuum General Relativity, Einstein-scalar theories allow balanced static, neutral, asymptotically flat, double-black hole solutions, for scalar field models minimally coupled to gravity, with appropriate self-interactions. These are scalar hairy versions of the double-Schwarzschild (or Bach-Weyl) solution, but regular on and outside the two (topologically spherical) horizons. The balancing repulsive force is provided by the scalar field. An explicit illustration is presented, using a Weyl-type construction adapted to numerical solutions, requiring no partial linearisation…
The natural extension of Schwarzschild metric to the case of nonzero cosmological constant $Λ$ known as the Kottler metric is considered and it is discussed under what circumstances the given metric could describe the Schwarzschild black hole immersed in a medium with nonzero energy density. Under the latter situation such an object might carry topologically inequivalent configurations of various fields. The given possibility is analysed for complex scalar field and it is shown that the mentioned configurations might be tied with natural presence of Dirac monopoles on black hole under consider…
The 2+1 black hole coupled to a Maxwell field can be charged in two different ways. On the one hand, it can support a Coulomb field whose potential grows logarithmically in the radial coordinate. On the other, due to the existence of a non-contractible cycle, it also supports a topological charge whose value is given by the corresponding Abelian holonomy. Only the Coulomb charge, however, is given by a constant flux integral with an associated continuity equation. The topological charge does not gravitate and is somehow decoupled from the black hole. This situation changes abruptly if one turn…
We obtain a lorentzian solution for the topologically massive non-abelian gauge theory on AdS space by means of a SU(1, 1) gauge transformation of the previously found abelian solution. There exists a natural scale of length which is determined by the inverse topological mass. The topological mass is proportional to the square of the gauge coupling constant. In the topologically massive electrodynamics the field strength locally determines the gauge potential up to a closed 1-form via the (anti-)self-duality equation. We introduce a transformation of the gauge potential using the dual field st…
Signature change has been identified as a generic consequence of holonomy modifications in spherically symmetric models of loop quantum gravity with real connections, which includes modified Schwarzschild solutions. Here, this result is extended to 2-dimensional dilaton models and to different choices of canonical variables, including in particular the Callan-Giddings-Harvey-Strominger (CGHS) solution. New obstructions are found to coupling matter and to including operator-ordering effects in an anomaly-free manner.
We discuss Wu-Yang type solutions of the Maxwell-Chern-Simons and the Yang-Mills-Chern-Simons theories. There exists a natural scale of length which is determined by the inverse topological mass. We obtain the non-abelian solution by means of a SU(2) gauge transformation of Dirac magnetic monopole type solution. In the abelian case, field strength locally determines the gauge potential up to a closed term via self-duality equation. We introduce a transformation of the gauge potential using dual field strength which can be identified with the gauge transformation in the abelian solution. Then w…
We start by pointing out that certain Riemann surfaces appear rather naturally in the context of wave equations in the black hole background. For a given black hole there are two closely related surfaces. One is the Riemann surface of complexified ``tortoise'' coordinate. The other Riemann surface appears when the radial wave equation is interpreted as the Fuchsian differential equation. We study these surfaces in detail for the BTZ and Schwarzschild black holes in four and higher dimensions. Topologically, in all cases both surfaces are a sphere with a set of marked points; for BTZ and 4D Sch…
In a previous work we derived an effective Hamiltonian constraint for the Schwarzschild geometry starting from the full loop quantum gravity Hamiltonian constraint and computing its expectation value on coherent states sharply peaked around a spherically symmetric geometry. We now use this effective Hamiltonian to study the interior region of a Schwarzschild black hole, where a homogeneous foliation is available. Descending from the full theory, our effective Hamiltonian, though still bearing the well known ambiguities of the quantum Hamiltonian operator, preserves all relevant information abo…
Certain AdS black holes are "fragile", in the sense that, if they are deformed excessively, they become unstable to a fundamental non-perturbative stringy effect analogous to Schwinger pair-production [of branes]. Near-extremal topologically spherical AdS-Kerr black holes, which are natural candidates for string-theoretic models of the very rapidly rotating black holes that have actually been observed to exist, do represent a very drastic deformation of the AdS-Schwarzschild geometry. One therefore has strong reason to fear that these objects might be "fragile", which in turn could mean that a…
We investigate the occurrence chaos in the escape of test particles moving in the field of a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by an external halo. The motion of both material particles and zero rest mass particles is considered. The chaos is characterized by the fractal dimension of boundary between the basins of the different escapes, which is a topologically invariant characterization. We find chaos in the motion of both material particles and null geodesics.
We first advance a mathematical novelty that the three geometrically and topologically distinct objects mentioned in the title can be exactly obtained from the Jordan frame vacuum Brans I solution by a combination of coordinate transformations, trigonometric identities and complex Wick rotation. Next, we study their respective accretion properties using the Page-Thorne model which studies accretion properties exclusively for $r\geq r_{\text{ms}}$ (the minimally stable radius of particle orbits), while the radii of singularity/ throat/ horizon $r<r_{\text{ms}}$. Also, its Page-Thorne efficiency…
We propose a new model of the spherical symmetric quantum black hole in the reduced phase space formulation. We deparametrize gravity by coupling to the Gaussian dust which provides the material coordinates. The foliation by dust coordinates covers both the interior and exterior of the black hole. After the spherical symmetry reduction, our model is a 1+1 dimensional field theory containing infinitely many degrees of freedom. The effective dynamics of the quantum black hole is generated by an improved physical Hamiltonian ${\bf H}_Δ$ where the holonomy correction is implemented by the $\barμ$-…
It is well-known that black hole can be endowed with topological charge coming as a result of phase transition(s) in the early universe. It has also recently been revealed that such object might exist in one of the modified theory of gravity called the Eddington-inspired-Born-Infeld (EiBI) theory. Here we shall investigate the the possibility of phase transitions, and in general thermodynamic phenomena, of EiBI-anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole with (topologically-charged) global monopole. This is the first work that applies the full Euclidean action formalism in this model. We provide a counter…
